The latest McLaren GT is set for its global launch next week, specifically on 15 May 2019. Known as the McLaren Superlight Grand Tourer, it’ll be the fourth brand new model announced under the McLaren Automotive Track25 business plan.
With the hashtag #NewRules, the McLaren GT will be placed alongside the current Sports and Super series. The new model is said to redefine the rules of the Grand Tourer segment thanks to the combination of the brand’s renowned engineering, dynamic attributes, and outright comfort.
Sharing the same design DNA as the McLaren Speedtail Hyper-GT, the latest GT beast will be unveiled next week live online at https://cars.mclaren.com/new-mclaren-gt. Will the new McLaren GT carry the same 1,036hp hyper engine?
According to the company, the Speedtail Hyper-GT can reach a maximum speed of 403km/h and from 0-300km/h is only covered within 13 seconds. If yes, we certainly can’t wait for the global launch to happen. Until then, stay tuned for more updates.
