Brace yourselves, the long holiday is coming. And with long holidays comes long journeys and to ensure that your journeys are as safe as possible, UMW Toyota and Shell Malaysia have teamed up to launch the ‘Balik Kampung Safety Campaign’ by helping out with their vehicles.

How will this ‘help’ be provided? Well, how about a free 36-point vehicle inspection for ALL car brands? That’s right, the very first safety campaign launched by Toyota and Shell are offering 36-point free inspections to vehicles of all makes at 20 selected Shell stations nationwide which will be done by trained personnel from Toyota, from now until 2 June 2019.

According to Mr. Ravindran K, President of UMW Toyota Motor Sdn. Bhd., “This is our first partnership with Shell Malaysia in a safety campaign as our contribution towards making our roads safer. We fully support the government’s efforts to reduce accidents on the roads and through this safety campaign, we can help to ensure vehicles are in a safe condition for their long journeys.”

“We have carefully identified Shell stations for the free vehicle inspections. It is selected not only based on convenient locations but also the integrated offerings available at these stations. For complete ease of mind on your journey home this festive season, besides the free 36 point inspection, customer can have their car engine oil changed at Shell Helix Service Centre, take a break and grab refreshments at our Shell SELECT/KEDAI, and fuel up with our Shell Fuels with DYNAFLEX Technology that is designed for efficiency,” added Mr. Shairan Huzani Husain, Managing Director of Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn. Bhd. and Shell Timur Sdn. Bhd.

The free vehicle inspections will start from 10am to 5pm on the following dates at selected Shell stations:

Each inspection for any car from any brand will only take 15 minutes and will also receive a goodie bag (while stocks last). If you drive a Toyota, a 10% discount voucher for selected parts at Toyota Service Centres will also be given. First 10 customers of the day will receive a RM10 Fuels voucher from Shell Malaysia.

Here’s another bonus. Any Toyota models who are affected by the airbag inflator system recall can also be conveniently replaced at these selected Shell stations during the campaign. It only takes about an hour to do so and those who are uncertain can check on the recall list for airbag replacement can check via toyota.com.my, or at the service counters at these Shell stations.
