2019 Porsche Macan launched in Malaysia – From RM455,000

Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP) has officially brought in the latest 2019 Porsche Macan onto Malaysian shores. Designed to redefine its place in a true sports vehicle in its segment, the Macan comes in two variants; the standard 2.0-litre Macan and the fire-breathing 3.0-litre Macan S (only being previewed for the time being).

Spearheading the true essence of Porsche Design DNA, the new Macan now comes with updated distinctive exterior features a new wider front end and revised side air intakes for better all-round performance.

The new Macan Premium Package offers significant enhancements to the already remarkable standard package such as 14-way power seats including memory function for both driver and front passenger, comfort lighting package, Power Steering Plus, Park Assist including reversing camera, automatic dimming mirrors, and BOSE Surround Sound System.

There’s also the newly designed 18-inch wheels specifically made for the Macan (19-inch for the Macan S) and they look dope as hell. There’s also the optional 21-inch wheels if you want something bigger. New aero air blades are also available at the front where customers can choose between several finishes.

The rear end has also been upgraded with new taillight clusters where they now feature a ‘four-point design, further reflecting Porsche brand identity.’ A set of crisp tail pipes connected to its exhaust system perfectly rounds up the entire rear façade of the new Macan.

Step inside the vehicle and you’ll quickly noticed how lavish the Macan really is. Fitted with Alcantara leather wrapped seats, 10.9-inch full-HD Porsche Communication Management touchscreen, and new Voice Pilot, these are just some standard features that you can find in the new Macan.

But honestly, most of you who are reading this wants to know about its performance. Well, the new Macan comes ready with a 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-four engine that produces 248hp and 370Nm of torque. Opt for the Macan S and you’ll find yourself driving a 3.0-litre mono-turbo V6 which kicks things up a notch; 348hp and 480Nm. Mo’ power, baby!

This translate to 0-100km/h in 6.7 seconds and a limited top speed of 225km/h. In terms of fuel consumption, the best the new Macan is able to provide is a frugal 8.1 litres for every 100km. Dynamics still remains as its core feature with a reworked chassis and the addition of intelligent all-wheel drive Porsche Traction Management (PTM) system.

Sime Darby Auto Performance has priced the new 2019 Porsche Macan at RM455,000 (OTR without insurance) with a choice of four colours; Mamba Green Metallic, Dolomite Silver Metallic, Miami Blue and Crayon.

There’s a host of options to further upgrade your Macan such as the GT sports steering wheel, available in the sports chrono package which also includes heated windshield and an air ioniser.

The S version is currently being previewed and its price will be officially announced in due time. To know more, head over to https://www.porsche.com/pap/_malaysia_/.
