The folks from Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has unveiled their latest AMG model for the Malaysian market in the form of the 2019 Mercedes-AMG A 35 4MATIC Sedan. This entry-level AMG model targets a specific group of folks who want a dynamic balance between high performance and overall comfort.

Powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine, the AMG A 35 4MATIC Sedan packs quite a punch with 306hp and 400Nm of maximum torque. These power figures allow the five-seater Mercedes-AMG A 35 to propel itself from 0-100km/h in just 4.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 250km/h.
Designed to be sporty yet compact exterior, this beauty has all the AMG look and feel at a more affordable price. This can be seen from its radiator grille with twin louvres, the AMG Line front apron with flics on the air intakes, a front splitter and silver chrome trim elements.
Perhaps its most profound exterior feature has to be its 19-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels which give the A 35 Sedan a sexier yet modern appeal that’s perfect for all ages. Although it might be compact in size, the additions of two-part tail lamps and the new rear diffuser give it a more emphasized width from the back.
The interior also carries the mark of a classic AMG machine with red and black accents found throughout the cabin. With seat made out of ARTICO man-made leather with DINAMICA microfibre, the new A 35 Sedan certainly looks sporty inside and out.
Another new feature found in the latest AMG offering is its AMG centre console with touchpad and additional switch for operating ESP® and manual transmission mode to give it a more dynamic yet fun driving experience.
It might look sporty but knowing how Mercedes-Benz works, the comfort element is also thrown in for good measure not just for the driver but also other occupants in the car. Worried about boot space? The new AMG A 35 Sedan comes with a 420-litre boot with wide opening for easy loading and unloading.
Mercedes-Benz also included their high-quality MBUX multimedia system with two displays blending into one Widescreen Cockpit to further accentuate its horizontal look. Connecting to car’s infotainment unit is easier than ever with the addition of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
