Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC) has announced that all 19 units of their limited-edition Ford Ranger Splash have been successfully pre-booked ahead of the Lazada 11.11 Shopping Festival on the LazMall’s Ford Official Store.
According to Syed Ahmad Muzri Syed Faiz, Managing Director of SDAC, “The runaway success of the recent collaboration with Lazada demonstrates how fully Malaysian consumers have embraced eCommerce. It is also a proof point of the on-going strong demand and consumers’ confidence in our ‘Built Ford Tough’ Ford Ranger. This achievement marks two very unique milestones in the world of online shopping as well as automotive. The Ford Ranger Splash is the first pickup truck to be sold online via eCommerce and also the first vehicle in Malaysia to be sold via the ‘Chup Dulu’ promotional mechanics that allowed buyers to book the cars ahead of the Lazada shopping festival.
