New 5-door Suzuki Jimny Sold Out!

The Jimny 5-door was initially introduced in India at the Auto Expo 2023 in January and will be launched in June this year. India will be the first market where the 5-door Jimny will go on sale and will also be exported from there.

It is driven by a 1.5-liter K15B engine that generates 105 hp and 134 Nm of torque. Five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmissions are used to transmit power to all four wheels.

Suzuki’s AllGrip Pro 4WD system with a manual transfer case and a low-range gearbox with “2WD-high,” “4WD-high,” and “4WD-low” modes is also included. Zeta and Alpha are the two trim levels for the Jimny 5-door.

Since the Jimny’s debut at the Auto Expo earlier this year, Maruti Suzuki has reportedly received around 30,000 bookings. According to Autocar India, the Alpha trim with the highest specifications has been in more demand and would be produced first.

The Jimny’s most popular colour options to date are Bluish Black, Kinetic Yellow, and Pearl Arctic White.

Auto LED headlights, a 9-inch touchscreen, the SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system, Cruise control, and an Arkamys sound system are among the features included with the Alpha model. Six airbags, ESP with a hill-hold assist, hill-descent control, a rearview camera, and ABS with EBD are among the additional safety features it has.

Additionally, according to sources, the waiting period for the manual variants would last up to six months after introduction, whilst the waiting period for the automatic variants may last up to eight months.

Although the selling price has not been made public, there are rumours that the 5-door Jimny will be sold for between RM55,208 and RM66,249 in India.
