Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM), the official distributor of Mitsubishi vehicles in the country, is proudly celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, marking two decades of growth, innovation, and strong customer loyalty. The milestone is being commemorated in grand fashion at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025, taking place from 9 to 15 May at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS).

Since its inception in 2005, MMM has firmly established itself in the Malaysian automotive landscape with a portfolio of vehicles recognised for reliability, robust performance, and adventurous appeal. Over the past 20 years, the company has delivered more than 200,000 vehicles to Malaysian drivers—a figure that underscores its continued relevance and the strong trust placed in the brand.

Central to MMM’s success story is the Mitsubishi Triton, a model that has become synonymous with rugged performance and off-road capability. The pick-up truck accounts for a remarkable 54.3% of the company’s total vehicle deliveries in Malaysia to date, proving its enduring appeal across both urban and rural terrains. The Triton’s reputation for dependability and versatility has made it a favourite among Malaysians seeking both utility and dynamic driving performance.

To support its expanding customer base, MMM has established a nationwide network of over 60 authorised dealerships, offering accessible sales and after-sales services throughout the country.

Marking the anniversary, Shinya Ikeda, Chief Executive Officer of Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia, expressed gratitude to all stakeholders who contributed to the brand’s journey. He stated that reaching this 20-year milestone is a reflection of the trust and passion of its customers, dealers, and partners. He reaffirmed MMM’s commitment to delivering vehicles that uphold the brand’s hallmarks of performance, dependability, and excellent after-sales care.

Ikeda also highlighted that special 20th anniversary promotions are being rolled out to thank loyal customers. He encouraged all visitors to experience Mitsubishi’s full vehicle line-up and celebratory activities at Hall A of the Malaysia Autoshow, or visit showrooms nationwide to enjoy limited-time offers and giveaways.

In conjunction with the celebration, MMM has launched a series of anniversary rewards, headlined by an exclusive promotion for the Mitsubishi Triton Athlete. Limited to 200 units, customers booking the Triton Athlete can opt for either a cash rebate of RM8,000 or five years of complimentary maintenance. Positioned at the top of the Triton range, the Athlete variant is engineered for performance and now offers even greater value.

Additional anniversary rebates are available across the Triton line-up: the Triton AT Premium receives a rebate of RM12,000, while the Triton AT GL and MT GL offer rebates of RM10,000 and RM9,000 respectively. The Triton Single Cab is also included in the promotion, with a RM5,000 rebate.

The Mitsubishi XPANDER range is also part of the celebratory campaign. The XPANDER Plus comes with a RM4,000 rebate, while the standard XPANDER offers up to RM2,000 off.

Visitors to the Mitsubishi Motors booth at the Malaysia Autoshow will be treated to interactive and engaging experiences. A life-sized toybox photo display invites guests to strike a pose and share their pictures on social media for a free serving of hot popcorn. During designated “Happy Hour” sessions at noon, 3 PM, and 6 PM, three lucky winners will be selected from among photo participants to receive premium giveaways including a Naturehike bag, a Thule backpack, or a Tryveler camping package.

As an extra gesture of appreciation, Mitsubishi owners who present their car key at the booth will receive a complimentary Touch ‘n Go card preloaded with RM10. In addition, guests can enjoy free Monster Energy drinks throughout the duration of the event.
