Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Sets Nürburgring Record – 7:04.957

Xiaomi EV has secured a remarkable milestone in the world of high-performance electric vehicles, with its Xiaomi SU7 Ultra production model setting a new record at the famed Nürburgring Nordschleife. Clocking an astonishing lap time of 7 minutes and 4.957 seconds, the SU7 Ultra now holds the title of the fastest electric executive car to lap the 20.8-kilometre circuit.

This record-setting performance was achieved during the car’s very first attempt, equipped with Xiaomi’s optional track package. The achievement underscores the company’s engineering prowess and positions the SU7 Ultra at the forefront of electric vehicle innovation, proving that it is more than capable of rivalling the world’s elite performance machines.

The key to the SU7 Ultra’s record-breaking performance lies in its sophisticated engineering and relentless focus on track-readiness. It is underpinned by Xiaomi’s cutting-edge trio of core electric technologies, encompassing the electric motor, power battery, and motor control unit. Enhancements in chassis torque-vectoring control and aerodynamic refinement contributed significantly to its ability to master the Nordschleife’s demanding layout.

Importantly, the production model remains true to the engineering foundations laid out in the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra prototype. It retains the complete tri-motor configuration, comprising two V8s and one V6s electric motors—producing a total maximum output of 1,548 PS. This potent setup delivers explosive acceleration, achieving 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.98 seconds (with one-foot rollout), and a top speed exceeding 350km/h.

The Nürburgring, long considered the ultimate proving ground for automotive performance, serves as both a challenge and validation platform for emerging technologies. The extreme demands of high-speed and high-temperature driving place significant strain on electric vehicle systems. Xiaomi EV’s accomplishment at the circuit is a direct reflection of its enduring commitment to refining vehicle performance, durability, and safety in the most rigorous of environments.

Xiaomi’s ambitions at the Green Hell go beyond just lap times. The company has entered into an in-depth strategic partnership with the Nürburgring, becoming a premium partner of the circuit. This collaboration includes the naming of a new section of the Grand Prix track as the “Xiaomi Curve,” symbolising the brand’s growing influence and long-term involvement in motorsport and automotive development.

Furthermore, Xiaomi EV has joined the Nürburgring’s prestigious Industry Pool programme, which provides exclusive access to the circuit for testing and development. Through this initiative, Xiaomi aims to accelerate the advancement of its electric vehicles, using the Nürburgring as a dynamic laboratory for future innovations that will redefine the global EV performance landscape.

With its breakthrough at the Nürburgring, Xiaomi EV has not only proven the capabilities of the SU7 Ultra but has also signalled its arrival as a serious contender in the high-performance automotive world, delivering a clear message that the future of executive motoring will be electric, exhilarating, and unmistakably fast.
