Porsche Unveils the All-Electric Macan GTS – Performance, Precision, and Distinctive Design

Porsche has expanded its all-electric Macan line-up with the introduction of the Macan GTS, a model that redefines agility and driving precision in the electric SUV segment. With up to 571PS of overboost power, an electronically controlled rear differential lock, and sports air suspension with a lowered ride height, the GTS stands as the most dynamic version of the Macan Electric to date.

The GTS badge has carried weight among Porsche enthusiasts since the debut of the 904 Carrera GTS in 1963, symbolising performance with everyday usability. Now, for the first time, it adorns a fully electric Macan. The new GTS accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, reaches 200 km/h in 13.3 seconds, and tops out at 250 km/h.

At the heart of the Macan GTS is the same high-output rear-axle electric motor found in the Macan Turbo, measuring 230 mm in diameter with a 900-amp silicon carbide inverter for maximum efficiency. Together with the front motor, it produces 516PS and peaks at 571PS with Launch Control, generating a formidable 955Nm of torque. The 100 kWh battery enables a WLTP range of up to 586 km, while 270 kW DC fast charging allows a 10–80% recharge in just 21 minutes.

The Sport Chrono Package comes as standard, now featuring a Track mode derived from the Taycan. This setting improves battery cooling to maintain consistent power output during demanding driving sessions, minimising performance drop-off under heat stress.

The Macan GTS maintains rear-biased weight distribution (48:52) and benefits from Porsche’s electronic all-wheel drive system (ePTM) and Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) for sharper handling. A lower centre of gravity and specially tuned sports air suspension—lowered by 10 mm compared to other variants—enhance stability and steering accuracy. The system integrates Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and can be further complemented by rear-axle steering, offering even greater cornering precision.

The Macan GTS also introduces an enhanced Porsche Electric Sport Sound (PESS) system, delivering two unique GTS sound profiles in Sport and Sport Plus modes for a more engaging acoustic experience.

The exterior of the Macan GTS follows the traditional GTS styling language with dark-coloured accents and a stronger visual stance. Its Matrix LED headlights are tinted, while new black trim elements frame the front, sides, and rear. The lower section incorporates an expressive diffuser panel, emphasising the car’s width and road presence.

The GTS also debuts the new Sport Design Package, which will later become available across the Macan range. Standard on the GTS, it adds GTS-specific detailing such as black contrast elements, redesigned side skirts, and adaptive rear spoiler in gloss black.

Standard wheels are 21-inch Macan Design alloys in Anthracite Grey, with optional 22-inch RS Spyder Design wheels available. Three new paint colours are offered: Crayon, Carmine Red, and Lugano Blue, alongside nearly 60 bespoke shades via Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur’s Paint to Sample programme.

Inside, the Macan GTS continues its performance-oriented identity with extended Race-Tex upholstery, black smooth leather accents, and heated multifunction GT Sports steering wheel. 18-way adjustable Sports Seats feature Race-Tex centre panels and smooth leather bolsters, combining grip with long-distance comfort.

The optional GTS Interior Package aligns interior accents with the exterior paintwork. Available in Carmine Red, Slate Grey Neo, or Lugano Blue, the package includes matching stitching, seatbelts, and ‘GTS’ embroidery on the headrests. Carbon-fibre trim on the dashboard, steering wheel, and door panels adds a technical finish.

Digital enhancements extend the theme, with ‘GTS’ branding in the driver display and matching exterior colour visualisations on the infotainment screen. The integrated Sport Chrono App allows lap timing, telemetry, and sector analysis directly from the central display.

Like the rest of the Macan range, the GTS benefits from the latest digital and driver-assistance upgrades. These include Porsche Digital Key functionality, AI-powered Voice Pilot, advanced parking aids, in-car gaming, and an increased towing capacity of 2,500 kg.

With its enhanced chassis, powerful drivetrain, and signature GTS styling, the Macan GTS represents Porsche’s most engaging electric SUV yet. It combines the brand’s motorsport DNA with modern electric performance and everyday practicality—continuing the GTS legacy into a new era of electric mobility.
