iCAUR V23 Previewed in Malaysia — A Modern Electric Off-Roader with Retro Soul

iCAUR Malaysia has previewed its latest model, the iCAUR V23 — an all-electric off-road SUV that pushes the brand’s ambitions further into Malaysia’s fast-growing EV scene. Following the success of the iCAUR 03 earlier this year, the new C-segment SUV blends modern performance and safety with a nostalgic, rugged design inspired by classic off-roaders of the past.

First shown as a concept at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025, the iCAUR V23 has now made its first official appearance in right-hand drive form at The Starhill in Kuala Lumpur, ahead of its local launch scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025. Compact yet muscular, it measures 4,220 mm long, 1,915 mm wide, and 1,845 mm tall, riding on a 2,735 mm wheelbase — proportions that give it a confident stance whether in the city or on rougher trails.

The V23 will be available in two configurations: rear-wheel drive (2WD) and intelligent all-wheel drive (iWD). The 2WD variant features a single rear motor producing 136 PS and 180 Nm of torque, paired with a 59.9 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. For those seeking more punch, the iWD version adds a front motor for a combined output of 211 PS and 292 Nm, powered by a larger 81.8 kWh ternary lithium (NMC) battery.

Range is a key strength for both models, with the 2WD capable of 401 km on the NEDC cycle, while the iWD variant extends that to 501 km. The 2WD completes the 0–100 km/h sprint in 11 seconds, while the more powerful iWD variant cuts that time down to 7.5 seconds. Both are electronically limited to 140 km/h.

Charging flexibility has also been a major focus for iCAUR. The 2WD supports up to 85 kW DC fast charging, while the iWD goes up to 104 kW. AC charging is rated at 6.6 kW for both. The model also comes with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality delivering up to 3.3 kW, allowing owners to power small appliances — perfect for camping or outdoor activities.

Underneath, the V23 uses a MacPherson strut front and multi-link rear suspension setup to deliver a blend of comfort and composure across a variety of conditions. Visually, it strikes a fine balance between retro appeal and modern styling. Its squared-off silhouette sits on 19-inch wheels (255/55 R19 tyres) for the 2WD and 21-inch wheels (265/45 R21 tyres) for the iWD. The boxy bodywork, muscular arches, and minimal detailing give it a robust and purposeful look.

Inside, the V23 carries the same blend of utility and sophistication. A high roofline ensures generous headroom, while large windows provide excellent visibility. Retro touches like rotary knobs on the centre console mix with advanced technology such as a 540-degree Transparent Chassis Camera system, giving drivers a clear view of their surroundings — ideal for both city parking and off-road driving.

Safety has been given equal attention, with the SUV equipped with a comprehensive Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) package. This includes adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and autonomous emergency braking, among other features designed to enhance driver confidence and passenger safety.

Set to arrive by the end of 2025, the iCAUR V23 is expected to be priced from around RM145,000 for the 2WD variant and RM155,000 for the AWD version. Bookings are now open for those looking to secure an early spot ahead of its official launch.

As part of its expansion plans, iCAUR Malaysia announced that it will establish up to 18 points of sale and nine fully equipped service centres nationwide by the end of 2025, including operations in Sabah and Sarawak.

For those keen to get an early look, the iCAUR V23 will be on public display from 29 October to 2 November 2025 at Starhill Piazza, Kuala Lumpur, open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The showcase marks the beginning of a new chapter for iCAUR in Malaysia — one defined by bold design, electric innovation, and an adventurous spirit.
