OMODA | JAECOO Malaysia brought a fresh sense of creativity to LahLahLand 2025 as the Official Auto Partner, transforming the event into a platform where automotive design met urban culture.
The collaboration introduced three distinctive “Art Cars,” demonstrating how vehicles can also serve as expressions of style and individuality.
Held from 1 to 2 November 2025 at the Mines International Exhibition & Convention Centre (MIECC), LahLahLand 2025 offered an energetic mix of streetwear fashion, live performances, product launches, esports tournaments, and art-driven experiences.
As part of its showcase, the brand unveiled two JAECOO J5 units and one J7 PHEV, each transformed into “Art Cars” featuring custom wraps inspired by the event’s visual themes.
The designs were developed in collaboration with local creatives to ensure they captured the festival’s bold and dynamic identity.
The result was a trio of premium SUVs that blended artistic freedom with modern engineering, reflecting OMODA | JAECOO’s commitment to design innovation and self-expression.
Visitors engaged directly with the brand through a “Spin the Wheel” activity, where participants could win exclusive merchandise. The interactive setup created a lively connection between the brand and the public, making OMODA | JAECOO’s presence one of the highlights of the weekend.
JAECOO J5: Previewing Malaysia’s Upcoming Premium SUV
One of the stars of the showcase was the JAECOO J5, a compact SUV previewed ahead of its official Malaysian launch in early 2026. The model, first introduced at the OMODA | JAECOO Carnival in August, carries a refined and confident design paired with the advanced technology expected from the brand.
Powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged intercooled engine, the J5 produces 147 PS and 210 Nm of torque, channelled through a CVT automatic transmission that drives the front wheels. The setup delivers a balance of efficiency and responsiveness, ideal for both urban commutes and longer drives.
Inside, the J5 features a digital instrument cluster and a 13.2-inch ‘2K’ central infotainment display, creating a clean, driver-oriented layout.
The SUV is also equipped with Level 2 Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS), including Autonomous Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Lane Keep Assist, enhancing both safety and convenience.
With an estimated starting price of RM120,000, the JAECOO J5 positions itself as a competitive and well-equipped entry in the premium compact SUV segment.
