UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) has continued its steady sales performance in Malaysia, recording 9,141 units sold in October 2025. This brings the company’s total year-to-date sales to 79,559 units — a result that reflects both sustained market demand and growing consumer confidence in Toyota’s longstanding reputation for quality, durability, and reliability.
Toyota’s wide range of vehicles continues to resonate with Malaysian buyers, thanks to its balance of practicality, innovation, and value. The brand’s “Mobility for All” philosophy remains central to its approach, offering Malaysians an extensive line-up of passenger cars, SUVs, and electrified options, all backed by dependable after-sales support and strong ownership value.
Toyota’s commitment to innovation was further underlined at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, where the company unveiled its three-year regional roadmap to accelerate next-generation mobility across Asia. The plan is built on three key pillars — carbon neutrality, intelligent safety, and inclusive mobility — and reinforces Toyota’s belief that meaningful progress should leave no one behind.
As part of its announcement at the Toyota Motor Asia Media Day, the company confirmed that over ten new electrified models (xEVs) will be introduced across the region within the next three years. Toyota also revealed plans to begin local battery electric vehicle (BEV) production in Thailand and Indonesia by the end of 2025, as well as its “30 by 30 Mission” — an ambitious target aiming for 30% xEV sales in ASEAN by 2030. That figure represents around 1.5 million cumulative units, translating to an environmental benefit equivalent to planting 25 million trees or cutting 8 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions.
The event also marked the world debut of the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ Concept, a rugged off-road model that combines the brand’s heritage of durability with cutting-edge electrified technology. The model has been confirmed for regional production in Thailand and is positioned as a symbol of Toyota’s ongoing commitment to off-road capability in an electrified era.
Beyond vehicle innovation, Toyota showcased its Toyota Mobility Concept and Commercial Japan Partnership Technologies (CJPT) initiatives, designed to integrate vehicles, energy, and data into connected ecosystems that promote efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. These projects reflect Toyota’s broader vision of practical, purpose-driven innovation for Asia.
Back home, UMW Toyota Motor is rewarding customers with enticing deals to close out the year. Selected Toyota models now come with rebates of up to RM8,000, while participating dealers are offering additional promotions — giving Malaysians even more reason to consider Toyota for their next vehicle purchase.
