The Perodua Alza is a B-segment multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) that was launched in November 2009 as the company’s first purpose-built MPV. The name “Alza” is derived from the Spanish verb “alzar”, which means “to rise” and rise it did.

The second-generation Alza, which is based on the W100 series Daihatsu Xenia, was introduced in 2022. It received the “W150” model designation and was assembled alongside the Malaysian market’s Toyota Veloz.

The Perodua Alza was recently named Vehicle of the Year at the DSF.my-Allianz Vehicle of the Year (VOTY) Awards 2023, which took place recently, at The Saujana Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. The winner was chosen for its value for money, best equipped new car for the year, latest safety features, and adaptability of a 7-seater in one package.

SISMA Auto, a multi-brand luxury automotive business, has opened the largest BYD 3S Centre in Glenmarie, Shah Alam.

The Glenmarie centre, which cost RM5 million to build, is a Class-A BYD facility with a nine-car display showroom and 16 service bays to serve the expanding number of BYD clients.

The huge showroom is intended to showcase all of the new models that will be introduced in the Malaysian market in the near future. The 16-work bay service centre can service over 1,000 customers every month. The modern service centre is also outfitted with advanced diagnostic technology, specialised tools and jigs, and climate-controlled storage spaces for sensitive power battery components. There is also a New Energy Vehicle facility where all high-voltage components can be repaired.

The 1,000th Porsche Cayenne has left the assembly line at Porsche Malaysia’s Inokom plant in Kulim, Kedah, marking a significant milestone for the company, which is represented in Malaysia by Sime Darby Auto Performance.

Built in Kulim, Kedah, the Cayenne is Porsche’s first vehicle built outside of Europe. Detlev von Platen, Member of the Executive Board for Sales and Marketing at Porsche AG said, “Our growth strategy underlines the importance of Malaysia for Porsche as we look to expand our presence in the ASEAN region.” Both Sime Darby and Porsche will focus on Malaysia first, but they are also considering other potential markets in the future.

The world’s largest geared turbofan, the UltraFan demonstrator, has been run for the first time by Rolls-Royce, beginning a long test programme that the engine manufacturer thinks will usher in a new era of more effective propulsion systems.

In 2014, the UltraFan concept was revealed to the public and features a gigantic geared design that is exclusive to Rolls-Royce and is not made by any rival company elsewhere in the world compared to other large engines from the company that are now in use. The test allows Rolls-Royce to demonstrate ghe feasibility of the engine at this scale while also providing a range of two-shaft, three-shaft, direct drive, and geared propulsion technologies to power future aircraft.

To smoothen the movement of traffic on the USJ-Seafield route, especially during peak hours on the Central Link North-South Expressway(ELITE), PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) will hold a public pilot test of ‘SmartLane’ on the route involved starting tomorrow – June 1, 2023.

The test will be carried out in collaboration with the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM), the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) and the Road Transport Department (JPJ).

The standard BMW XM produces 644hp and 799Nm of torque. The BMW XM Label Red on the other hand has 738hp and a whopping 997Nm of torque. As a result, the BMW XM Label is the most powerful BMW ever produced.

The Maserati V8 engine family, a collection of 90-degree, naturally aspirated and later turbocharged, V8 engines have been created, developed, and produced by Maserati for nearly 45 years.

The V8RI, a racing variation, debuted in 1939 with the Maserati 5000 GT, a road-going derivative, following in 1959, and later the Maserati 3200 GT, which ended production in 2002.

Production of the engines, which had a displacement range of 3.2-6.46-litres, lasted until 2002. It was eventually replaced – but not to be confused with – by the Ferrari-Maserati engine, which was created entirely by Ferrari and utilised in a number of Maserati cars.

Max Certified, a used car programme that offers customers a smoother shopping experience for Mitsubishi pre-owned automobiles, was formally launched today by Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM), the official distributor of Mitsubishi vehicles in Malaysia.

Customers can trade in their current Mitsubishi models for a brand-new Mitsubishi through the Max Certified programme, which is available at all Mitsubishi Motors dealers across the country.

The Rolls-Royce Cullinan is the pinnacle of a full-sized luxury SUV. Even it’s name is derived from the Cullinan Diamond, the largest gem-quality rough diamond ever discovered.

Revealed in 2018, the front grille and the headlamps, which make up the majority of the Cullinan’s exterior design, took inspiration from the cutting-edge 8th-generation Rolls-Royce Phantom. New design leather-applied seats and wood features can be found inside. The vehicle also boasts brand-new leather “cocktail suit” camping seats that can be opened from the trunk, a first for its kind. And the Cullinan is the only Rolls-Royce that has a glass wall separating the passenger area from the cargo area.

As part of a larger makeover of JLR’s lineup, the Range Rover Velar will be re-launched as an electric vehicle (EV). Next year, development on converting the factory into an EV production facility will begin, and production of the electric Velar is anticipated to begin before 2025. The Velar’s future had been up in the air until lately with reports suggesting that it may be dropped altogether.

The current Velar is produced in Solihull, England alongside the Jaguar F-Pace and has many similarities with it. According to sources, its successor will switch from the well-known D7 architecture onto an entirely new platform dubbed EMA in addition to being constructed at a new site.
