Chery Malaysia Meraikan Pengeluaran Kenderaan Elektrik Pertama yang Dipasang Secara Tempatan, Omoda E5

Chery Auto Malaysia mengumumkan pencapaian penting dalam perjalanan automotifnya dengan kejayaan pengeluaran unit pertama operasi pemasangan tempatan (CKD) Omoda E5 dari barisan pengeluarannya di Kilang Inokom.

Pencapaian ini menunjukkan komitmen Chery untuk meningkatkan keupayaan pembuatan tempatan, mempromosikan pertumbuhan industri Malaysia, dan menyumbang kepada peralihan negara ke arah masa depan automotif yang lestari dengan kenderaan elektrik.

Omoda E5, yang terkenal dengan reka bentuk moden dan teknologi canggihnya, mewakili dedikasi Chery untuk menyediakan kenderaan berkualiti tinggi yang disesuaikan dengan keutamaan pengguna Malaysia.

Chery Malaysia Celebrates First Locally Assembled Electric Vehicle, the Omoda E5

Chery Auto Malaysia has marked a milestone with the successful roll-off of its first Completely Knocked Down (CKD) unit of the Omoda E5 at the Inokom Plant. This achievement underscores Chery’s dedication to supporting local manufacturing, advancing Malaysia’s industrial growth, and contributing to a sustainable automotive future.

The Omoda E5, celebrated for its cutting-edge design and advanced technology, reinforces Chery’s commitment to delivering high-quality vehicles tailored for Malaysian consumers. Leo Chen, President of Chery Auto Malaysia, emphasised the significance of the CKD milestone, stating, “By assembling our cars locally, we not only offer competitive pricing but also demonstrate Chery’s long-term commitment in Malaysia, fostering local job creation and skill development.”

Leo Chen added that this initiative aligns with Malaysia’s localization policies and will support the nation’s ambitions to become a regional hub for electric vehicles (EVs). Dato’ Jeffri Salim Davidson, CEO of Sime Darby Berhad, highlighted the partnership with Chery, underscoring Sime Darby’s commitment to sustainable mobility solutions and automotive assembly growth.

Audi dan SAIC Melancarkan Jenama AUDI untuk Pasaran EV di China

Audi, yang menjadi jenama automotif premium pertama di China sejak 1988, terus memperkukuh kedudukannya di negara tersebut melalui usaha sama terbarunya dengan SAIC. Kerjasama ini bakal menyaksikan pelancaran tiga model elektrik baharu yang dijadualkan bermula pada pertengahan 2025, dengan fokus kepada pasaran premium China yang muda, berteknologi tinggi, dan mahukan inovasi. Model-model ini berpegang pada prinsip “Vorsprung durch Technik” atau “Keunggulan Melalui Teknologi,” yang menonjolkan keupayaan Audi dalam menawarkan pengalaman pemanduan pintar dan berhubung sepenuhnya.

Di barisan hadapan inisiatif ini ialah konsep AUDI E, sebuah model Sportback yang dibangunkan menggunakan Platform Digitized Termaju khusus untuk China. Dengan ukuran panjang 4,870mm, model konsep yang anggun ini menggunakan sistem dwi-motor berkuasa tinggi, yang mampu menghasilkan 764hp dan 800 Nm tork. Ini membolehkan kereta mencapai kelajuan 0-100 km/j dalam masa 3.6 saat. Baterinya yang berkapasiti 100 kWh menawarkan jarak sejauh 700 km, manakala seni bina 800-volt membolehkan pengecasan pantas — pengecasan selama 10 minit boleh menambah lebih 370 km jarak perjalanan.

Audi Expands in China: New SAIC Partnership to Launch Premium AUDI EV Models

Audi, the first premium car brand in China since 1988, is deepening its footprint with a new joint venture with SAIC to launch the AUDI brand. This collaboration, embodying Audi’s renowned “Vorsprung durch Technik” approach, is set to deliver three electric production models from mid-2025. Targeted at China’s unique, tech-savvy, and younger premium market, these models highlight cutting-edge innovation with a fully connected, intelligent driving experience.

At the heart of this venture is the AUDI E concept, a Sportback model built on the Advanced Digitised Platform. Designed specifically for the Chinese market, it combines Audi’s engineering expertise with SAIC’s innovation agility. Measuring 4,870 mm in length, this sleek concept features a high-powered dual-motor setup, producing 764hp and 800 Nm of torque, enabling 0-100km/h acceleration in 3.6 seconds. A 100-kWh battery provides a 700km range, and its 800-volt architecture allows ultra-fast charging: a 10-minute charge adds over 370km.

Nissan and Mitsubishi Join Forces on Autonomous Driving and Energy Storage Solutions

Nissan Motor and Mitsubishi are joining forces to launch a new joint venture focused on services for self-driving and electric vehicles (EVs), slated for establishment by the close of fiscal 2024. Their primary objectives include offering Level 4 autonomous driving services — allowing vehicles to operate independently under specific conditions — and integrating EV batteries for home energy storage and other innovative uses.

Equally funded by Nissan and Mitsubishi, this venture will kick off verification tests in 2025. Nissan is taking the lead on vehicle development for autonomous driving, while Mitsubishi is advancing AI-powered systems to optimise routes. Based on these advancements, the joint venture will introduce unmanned taxi services and more, aligned with government deregulation, initially launching in Yokohama and Namie, where Nissan is actively testing automated driving technology.

Jaguar Ends New Car Sales in the UK Ahead of Electric-Only Future

Jaguar Land Rover’s (JLR) ambitious “Reimagine” strategy, announced nearly four years ago, is fast approaching a major milestone: transforming Jaguar into an all-electric luxury brand by 2025. While the company has not yet unveiled any new electric models, the transition away from combustion engines is in full swing. As of this November, Jaguar has officially stopped selling new cars with conventional powertrains in the UK.

In a recent statement, JLR confirmed the halt: “From November 2024, new Jaguar sales will come to an end. We have now ceased allocation of our current generation of Jaguar vehicles.” This decision means that models like the E-Pace, XE, XF, and F-Type—already phased out—are now joined by the F-Pace SUV, the final model of Jaguar’s internal combustion era in the UK.

Stellantis untuk Menguji Bateri Keadaan Pepejal Factorial dalam Dodge Charger Daytona menjelang 2026

Stellantis dan Factorial Inc. telah mengambil langkah penting seterusnya dalam kerjasama mereka untuk membangunkan kenderaan elektrik (EV) generasi akan datang yang menggunakan teknologi bateri keadaan pepejal (solid-state) Factorial yang canggih. Ini susulan pelaburan $75 juta oleh Stellantis pada tahun 2021 untuk mempercepatkan pengkomersialan bateri keadaan pepejal dalam kenderaan elektrik.

Menjelang tahun 2026, Stellantis akan memperkenalkan armada demonstrasi Dodge Charger Daytona yang dilengkapi dengan bateri keadaan pepejal proprietari Factorial yang dikenali sebagai FEST®. Armada ini akan digunakan untuk menguji dan mengesahkan prestasi bateri ini dalam situasi dunia sebenar, menjadikannya satu langkah penting menuju pengkomersialan teknologi ini secara skala penuh. Teknologi FEST® menawarkan ketumpatan tenaga melebihi 390 Wh/kg, memberikan beberapa kelebihan berbanding bateri litium-ion konvensional seperti peningkatan kapasiti tenaga, pengurangan berat, prestasi kenderaan yang lebih baik, dan potensi kos yang lebih rendah dalam jangka panjang.

MG Cyberster Kini Dibuka Untuk Tempahan Dengan Debut Awam Di Auto Car Expo 2024

SAIC Motor Malaysia mengumumkan bahawa tempahan kini dibuka untuk MG Cyberster, roadster elektrik pertama bagi jenama MG, dengan anggaran harga di bawah RM350,000. Cyberster menampilkan pintu gunting ikonik dan akan membuat penampilan umum di Auto Car Expo (ACE) 2024.

SAIC Motor Malaysia Opens Bookings for MG Cyberster: All-Electric Roadster Set for ACE 2024 Debut

SAIC Motor Malaysia has officially opened bookings for the MG Cyberster, the brand’s first all-electric roadster, with an estimated price below RM350,000. The MG Cyberster will make its first public appearance at the Auto Car Expo (ACE) 2024, further solidifying MG’s entry into the electric vehicle (EV) market in Malaysia.

Iconic Electric Roadster Performance

The two-seater MG Cyberster offers impressive performance, featuring a dual-motor all-wheel-drive (4WD) system that delivers 503PS of power and a maximum torque of 725Nm. With a 77 kWh battery, the Cyberster can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.2 seconds and has a WLTP-certified driving range of 446km. Charging is convenient with a 7 kW AC fast charger, which allows a full charge in approximately 10.5 hours. Additionally, it supports 150kW DC rapid charging, capable of charging from 10% to 80% in just 38 minutes.
