Hennessey Performance Engineering

Hennessey has done it again by initiating the H1000 package upgrades for Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing models, significantly boosting their power and transforming them into high-performance beasts.

The stock CT5-V Blackwing comes with a supercharged 6.2-litre V8 engine producing 668hp and 893Nm of torque. Customers can choose between a six-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic transmission. With either transmission, the vehicle can accelerate to 100km/h in approximately 3.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 330km/h.

If you don’t know, Hennessey Venom F5 welcomed a third into their lineup in January of this year which was the Venom F5 Revolution, a track-focused redesign with increased downforce and better handling.

The Venom F5 Revolution now gets an open-roof variant, adding a fourth to the lineup. New fascias with larger splitters and diffusers, a large wing at the back, and dive planes on the corners of the front clip are added. Despite the fact that this car’s top may be removed, there is a roof scoop for the engine. When the single-piece roof is out, it overhangs the cockpit just a little bit and is attached to the engine cover.

The H850, a highly-tuned thoroughbred variant of the 2024 Mustang Dark Horse, is the most recent product from Hennessey Performance. In addition to being a supercharged stallion, it also features supporting modifications and a complete warranty.

Ford’s brand-new Mustang Dark Horse leaves the factory with a 5.0-litre Coyote V8 engine that produces 500hp. A Tremec six-speed manual gearbox or a Ford 10-speed automatic can be requested during purchase. The customer also receives large heart-stopping Brembo brakes in any configuration.

30 years ago, many people came to know about a dinosaur that was called a raptor (full name: velociraptor). It was one of the dinosaurs in The Jurassic Park movie and it was very ferocious and very nasty.

Fast forward to today and people still talk about a raptor – except that they usually do not refer to the dinosaur but an equally ferocious Ford truck. Ford was quick to use the name, capitalising on its image known by the older generation and at the same time building an image of high performance and ruggedness for younger buyers.

Unless governments ban cars with combustion engines altogether, we’re going to have them around for some time to come. While the mainstream carmakers are rushing towards electrification, even for high-performance models, specialists like Hennessey Performance are still continuing to develop hypercars with the good old internal combustion engine.

The Texas-based company is well known for high-performance cars and has been making hypercars for a few years now. Its latest creation is a new, lighter, track-focused version of the Venom F5 called the Venom F5 Revolution Coupe. This is an apex predator on a racing circuit, with the claim of being the most powerful pure-combustion hypercar in the world.

The American state of Texas is huge and it follows that everything there is also ‘XXL’ in size. It’s also where the Mammoth 1000 6×6 TRX has been designed, engineered and built by Hennessey, the hypercar manufacturer and high-performance vehicle creator. The Mammoth is the company’s biggest ever truck with a length of 7.2 metres, width of 2.2 metres and standing almost 2.1 metres tall.

The enormous 6×6 pickup truck makes ordinary cars and trucks look small – and we’re talking about American models. It starts life as a Dodge Ram TRX pick-up and Hennessey then adds a load of off-road kit from locking rear axles and Bilstein suspension, to 20-inch wheels clad in 37-inch off-road tyres. A third axle is added, extending the truck’s length by more than 1.2 metres feet and creating a giant load-space.

Under the chest-height bonnet is a mighty 6.2-litre Dodge Hellcat V8 engine which, even in standard form, is already quite a beast. The Hennessey team then adds a high-flow 2.65-litre supercharger, fuel injectors and high-flow induction system alongside performance-boosting calibration to push output to 1,012 bhp/1,314 Nm.

“Everything we do at Hennessey Performance is turned up to 11, but the Mammoth 1000 6×6 is definitely turned up to 12! Everything on the Mammoth 6×6 is bigger, badder, and more imposing – plus, it’s still super-fast, while being a total powerhouse off-road. It’s the undisputed king of the road!” said John Hennessey, the company’s founder and CEO of the US$449,950 (about RM1.93 million) truck.

Hennessey has a track record of success when it comes to gigantic and exclusive 6×6 trucks. The company has built and delivered more than 20 VelociRaptor 6×6 and Goliath 6×6 Silverado trucks to customers around the world. And each model it builds is offered with warranty coverage of 2 years/ 24,000 miles.

To date, Hennessey has re-engineered more than 12,000 vehicles for customers all over the world. Besides modifying a diverse range of sports, and muscle cars since 1991, the company has also developed specialised trucks and SUVs  as well as has its own hypercars – the Venom GT and Venom F5.

Venom F5 hypercar has 1,817 bhp 6.6-litre engine.

Hennessey Performance’s Project Deep Space is a 6-wheel drive Hyper GT!

John Hennessey, the founder and CEO of Texas-based Hennessey Performance, is a man who loves powerful cars and his company has been ‘making fast cars faster’ since 1991. His work covers not only musclecars but also trucks and SUVs, with notable recent models like the 700-bhp Velociraptor F250 and a ZL1 Camaro nicknamed ‘The Exorcist’ with 1,000 bhp.

In 2017, he started Hennessey Special Vehicles to develop even faster cars, with the Venom F5 being of hypercar status and the first road car capable of achieving more than 480 km/h. The Hennessey team developed an all new, twin turbo V8 engine that can deliver 1,817 bhp which sits on a lightweight chassis enclosed by an all carbonfibre body.

The Exorcist, a Camaro ZL1 with 1,000 bhp (above) and the Venom F5 are just some of the superfast cars from Hennessey.

The F5’s combination of light weight, low drag and massive horsepower is claimed to enable an acceleration time from 0 to 300 km/h in less than 10 seconds, making the new Venom quicker than current Formula 1 racing cars.

Project Deep Space

Now Hennessey Special Vehicles is taking things further with a strategic product plan to introduce 3 all-new vehicles over the next 10 years. Project Deep Space, the codename for one of the vehicles, will be the world’s first 6-wheel drive Hyper-GT.

During the next 10 years, electrification will be permeating through the industry and Hennessey is going with the change by making the hyper-GT run only on electric power, generated by 6 motors. With a 50% increase in surface contact over traditional 4-wheeled vehicles, the performance of the hyper-GT will be astonishing.

Fitted with dramatic gullwing doors, Project Deep Space will be constructed with an ultra-lightweight carbonfibre chassis and body panels. The car will be a unique, ultra-luxurious, Grand Tourer that can transport 4 adults in comfort along with 4 sets of golf clubs, plus luggage.

Diamond=shaped seating layout

The distinctive diamond seating arrangement places the driver in a central position and the rear offers lie-flat seating. The interior will be fitted with the highest quality materials and for the asking price, customers will be able to add whatever they want to personalize their hypercar.

“I’ve been building some of the world’s fastest accelerating vehicles for decades, yet they have always been performance-limited by mechanical grip. Six-wheeled electric propulsion is the solution. The technology is unprecedented in this segment – both forward-thinking and innovative. Our design and engineering team is excited about embracing the future,” said John Hennessey.

World’s most expensive EV

Full specifications for Project Deep Space are yet to be announced, but Hennessey has confirmed that pricing will start at US$3 million (RM12.6 million at today’s exchange rate) which will make it the world’s most expensive EV (unless Bugatti or someone else comes out with a rival model). Only 105 hypercars will be built with production planned to begin in 2026.

Hennessey produces World’s Fastest and Most Powerful Pick-up Truck – the MAMMOTH 1000 TRX

In spite of powerful electrically-powered vehicles appearing with greater frequency now, some companies are still developing more powerful vehicles with good old fashioned internal combustion engines.

One of them is Hennessey Performance Engineering (HPE), the well known Texas-based hypercar manufacturer and high-performance vehicle builder, which has started production of the world’s most powerful pick-up truck, the MAMMOTH 1000 TRX.

6.2-litre engine boosted to 1,012 bhp/1,313 Nm
Based on the Dodge Ram 1500 TRX pick-up truck, the MAMMOTH 1000 TRX will have a 0 – 60 mph (0 – 96 km/h) time claimed to be just 3.2 seconds – making it the quickest truck in the world. The lightning-quick time is achieved by boosting output from the supercharged 6.2-litre V8 engine.

Modifications include a high-flow 2.65-litre supercharger, fuel injectors and high-flow induction system alongside performance-boosting calibration raise output to 1012 bhp and torque to 1,313 Nm.

Measuring 5.81 metres long, 2.09 metres wide and 1.97 metres high, the imposing hypertruck makes an enormous statement on the road. Besides carrying 6 adults, it can carry a payload exceeding 1,045 kgs and towing more than 3,500 kgs.

“Because we can!”
“The new MAMMOTH 1000 TRX is the most powerful pick-up truck that Hennessey Performance has ever offered. The Ram TRX already boasts the highest horsepower of any vehicle manufacturer’s pick-up, so our performance, styling and off-road enhancements make this the most formidable new truck you can buy. We’ve already sold more than 100 trucks, with each answering one big question – why have a 1,000-horsepower pick-up truck? Because we can!” said John Hennessey, Company Founder and CEO.

HEP expects the majority of customers will take a highly specified standard model and add the MAMMOTH 1000 package and the Stage 2 off-road enhancements. The popular Stage 2 package adds custom bumpers, LED lights, a front levelling kit, 37-inch off road tyres and upgraded electronic fold-out steps.
