Lamborghini

The latest Lamborghini to be announced, with deliveries starting later in 2021, is the Huracan STO (Super Trofeo Omologata), a road-homologated super sportscar inspired by Lamborghini racing cars. These include the Huracan EVO Super Trofeo developed by Lamborghini Squadra Corsa for the brand’s own race series, as well as the Huracan EVO GT3, 3-time winner of the 24 Hours of Daytona and 2-time winner of the 12 Hours of Sebring.

With its 640 bhp/565 Nm naturally-aspirated V10 engine, the rear-wheel drive Huracan STO is said to take just 3 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.0 seconds, reaching 200 km/h in another 6 seconds, and on to a claimed top speed of 310 km/h.

As with other Lamborghini models, it has racing car DNA with superior aerodynamic efficiency, extensive use of lightweight materials, and first-class braking performance.

‘Made in Lamborghini’ design solution
The term ‘Cofango’ derives from the fusion of two Italian words: cofano (bonnet) and parafango (fender), created by Automobili Lamborghini to describe the design solution in which the bonnet, fenders and front bumper are integrated into a single component.

2021 Lamborghini Huracan STO

This innovative system created by Lamborghini engineers was inspired by the Miura and the more recent Sesto Elemento; applied to the STO, it is made entirely of very light carbonfibre. The key for opening the fastenings on the STO’s Cofango is unique: it was developed in-house by the R&D team and made using an innovative 3D printing technique.

Incidentally, the confango is one of over 2,750 components that make up the latest Lamborghini model.

Dynamic pit stop in just 3 seconds
There is not much that can be changed in 3 seconds, but the set-up of the Huracan STO is one. Three new driving modes – STO (normal driving), Trofeo (race mode) and Pioggia (raining or wet) – adapt the set-up of the car to match high-performance driving environments. The Huracan STO allows the driver to experience a dynamic pit stop, as if a team of mechanics were right there!

3 times around the world in simulator tests
Lamborghini’s R&D team drove a distance equivalent to 3 times around the world in simulator tests before even covering the first kilometre of the Huracan STO’s road tests. State-of-the-art simulator technology allowed the engineers to save time on quality control, lead times, and emissions by verifying that every part of the car fully complied with standards during different stages of the STO’s development, certifying and testing.

25,000 lines of code
Connectivity is a big thing nowadays and the occupants must be provided with various ways to connect to the infotainment system, The Huracan STO also has connectivity in the form of an advanced connected telemetry system. This link between car’s on-board cameras, Connected Cloud Lamborghini and the App Lamborghini UNICA allows, thanks to an intuitive data analysis system and videos enriched with dedicated widgets, to transform the exclusive App dedicated to Lamborghini customers into a real track engineer. The development of this technology on the Lamborghini UNICA App required more than 25,000 lines of code.

While the Dubai police force has gained fame for having a number of supercars in its fleet, there is no car industry of significance in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). However, there is a company there which personalises and refines cars for the supercar owners. Its name is Huber and it recently showcased a project that pays tribute to Lamborghini Aventador which celebrates its tenth anniversary.

Called ‘ERA’, the supercar has a new kind of aero package, and the team aspires to usher in a new way that automotive design thinks about the aftermarket. Basically, the company’s version has front and rear bumpers with an entirely new design in carbonfibre, and an optional carbonfibre bonnet as well. Additionally, the parts will be available in exposed carbonfibre in various colours.

Huber ERA 2021

“While we might be the new kid on the block, we feel that when designing new aero packages for a car, you have to consider both a clean sheet of paper and the North Star of its pre-existing DNA as your guide,” said founder Sean-Peter Huber who, like many in his team, have a background in automotive design. This new generation of designers is driven by the common understanding that the aftermarket can apply new aesthetic elements and functionalities to the techniques of carmakers’ design studios to create a new, improved rendition on some of the world’s most revered supercars.

Huber ERA 2021

Huber ERA 2021

The fully funded project has nothing to do with Lamborghini and production is complete with first bumper units already promised to select Aventador owners worldwide. Prices are not mentioned but it is obviously the beginning of a new business venture for the company.

It’s not known how long Huber has been in existence although its website says that ‘Huber’s founding mission was to give rise to one-off designs, over the years, the company has developed and evolved a diverse design collection ready for production’.

Huber ERA 2021

“The team aims to get many of these designs on the road,” Huber explained, “and the ERA is just the beginning of a range of designs we wish to bring to fruition”. They aim to build a new community of collectors and car enthusiasts who will appreciate professional automotive design in the aftermarket business.

It’s always good for owners if a brand has an official representative in the country, as they can then be assured of aftersales support. For those who own or want to own a Lamborghini, the good news is that the carmaker has appointed an official dealer – SunAgata Supercars Sdn Bhd, which will be known as Lamborghini Kuala Lumpur.

The company will commence full operations from April 2021 when its showroom and aftersales facility are officially opened. Meanwhile, it is wasting no time in ensuring that existing owners can receive aftersales support by having a temporary service facility at the Audi Centre in Glenmarie, Shah Alam, Selangor.

Lamborghini Kuala Lumpur will temporarily operate from the Audi Centre in Glenmarie, Selangor. It’s not surprising that it is at that location since Audi owns the Italian company.

Quality, reliability, immense technical sophistication and a constant commitment to meeting customers’ expectations are the fundamental elements that distinguish the Lamborghini brand. We believe that the strong partnership between Lamborghini and SunAgata Supercar will effectively communicate our brand values to loyal owners as well as new customers, both in terms of our image and how we operate. Lamborghini Kuala Lumpur will strengthen our highly acclaimed brand by delivering an unparalleled customer ownership experience,” said Francesco Scardaoni, Regional Director for Automobili Lamborghini in Asia Pacific.

Some customers of Lamborghini are not satisfied buying the production models that are manufactured in a number of units. They want true exclusivity (and can pay for it) with a car that is completely personalized to their wishes. The project to meet such a demand has seen the creation of the SC20, a unique specimen of an open-top track car type-approved for road use.

Second one-off model
The SC20 is the second one-off model engineered by the carmaker’s motorsports department, Lamborghini Squadra Corse. It brought to reality a customer’s dream car and the customer was also involved in the project from the very first drawings by Lamborghini’s designers.

The common goal was to build a unique vehicle, extreme in its design and performance, and able to combine aerodynamic solutions taken from racing Lamborghinis incorporating unprecedented lines and exclusive details.

“Two years after the SC18 Alston, the SC20 was a new, intriguing challenge. The chief sources of inspiration were the Diablo VT Roadster, Aventador J, Veneno Roadster and Concept S, and the result is a dramatic combination of creativity and racing attitude,” explained Mitja Borkert, Head of Design Lamborghini Centro Stile.

Exclusive details
The SC20 features exclusive details starting from the body colours on a Bianco Fu (white) base, created for the customer, on which the Blu Cepheus (blue) livery stands out. The same shade is found in the interior, alternating with Nero Cosmus (black) and Bianco Leda (white).

The most significant element of the passenger compartment is the visible carbonfibre used for the dashboard cover, rear wall, door panels, centre console and steering wheel trim, in addition to the monocoque. The lightweight material is also used for the shells of the seats upholstered in Alcantara and leather. The door handles on the other hand, are machined from solid aluminium. Lastly, the air vents are created using 3D printing technology at the factory.

“The SC20 is a combination of sophisticated engineering, Italian craftsmanship, sportiness and advanced design. It is also an example of applying our V12 engine and carbonfibre to a radical open-top vehicle that unmistakably carries the Lamborghini DNA,” said Maurizio Reggiani, Chief Technical Officer of Automobili Lamborghini.

Its engine is based on Lamborghini’s flagship V12 – the 6498 cc 12-cylinder that delivers 770 ps at 8500 rpm and 720 Nm of torque at 6750 rpm. It is managed through the optimized 7-speed Independent Shifting Rod (ISR) gearbox. The power reaches the four wheels through a 4-wheel drive system with a central electronic differential. To give the required grip are Pirelli PZero Corsa tyres are mounted on single-nut aluminium rims, 20 inches in front and 21 inches at the rear.

“The SC20 is one more technical and styling exercise that associates Squadra Corse experience with Lamborghini design, masterfully interpreted by our Centro Stile based on the customer’s wishes, which was the focus of the project during the entire vehicle development and construction process,” said Giorgio Sanna, Head of Lamborghini Motorsport.

Road-legal Lamborghini Huracan STO draws on motorsport heritage

Automobili Lamborghini and Ducati, both corporate citizens of the city of Bologna in Italy, have teamed up to create the Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini motorcycle. Only a limited number of 630 units will be available, priced at not less than US$31,995 (around RM130,000).

Inspired by Lamborghini’s first hybrid supercar
The motorcycle possesses the common values of both brands – Italian excellence, sportiness, attention to design and a meticulous devotion to detail – with inspiration coming from the Lamborghini Sian FKP 37.

Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini

Based on the Diavel 1260 S, the concept of the Diavel Lamborghini transfers the core concepts of the Sian FKP 37 to the motorcycle world, redesigning the components that most characterize the Ducati model.

The new, lightweight forged wheels explicitly recall those of the car, as do the air intakes and radiator covers made of carbonfibre that suggest superimposed floating elements on the main structure of the bike. Finally, the typical Ducati red is referenced by the colouring of the Brembo brake calipers.

Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini

Each detail of the bike, redesigned by the Centro Stile Ducati for this specific project, is made of a light and precious material such as carbonfibre, also inspired by the car. In addition to the radiator covers and air intakes, the silencer cover, spoiler, central tank cover, seat cover, front and rear mudguards, dashboard cover and headlight frame are also made of the lightweight material.

Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini

Shared values in design and execution
“The Ducati Diavel inspired by the Lamborghini Sian celebrates our shared values: we are both Italian, we are inherently sporty, and our design always distinguishes our creations,” said Andrea Ferraresi, Director of Ducati Centro Stile. “The Diavel 1260 Lamborghini has been created by using the same design language that distinguishes the Sian FKP 37.”

Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini

The livery of the Diavel 1260 Lamborghini was conceived by the collaboration between the Centro Stile Ducati and Centro Stile Lamborghini. The paints applied to the bike are the same as those used for the Sian FKP 37, with the bodywork characterized by the Verde (Green) Gea colour, while the frame, undertray and forged rims are embellished with the Oro (Gold) Electrum colour.

The important Lamborghini design elements of the hexagon and ‘Y’ motif are evident. This special version of the Diavel pays homage to the former in the shape of the exhaust and the latter in the seat’s aesthetic details.

The Huracan Super Trofeo EVO that is run in Lamborghini Squadra Corse’s one-make race series is now replicated as a road-homologated super sportscar in the new Huracan STO. Priced from 249,412 euros (about RM1.21 million), first deliveries will start in early 2021.

“The Huracan STO is the purest incarnation of Lamborghini Squadra Corse heritage, directly transferring technologies from the Huracan Super Trofeo EVO and drawing on the Huracan GT3 EVO’s unique accomplishment of winning three consecutive times in the Daytona 24 hours,” said Automobili Lamborghini’s new Chairman & CEO, Stefano Domenicali.

2021 Lamborghini Huracan STO

“The Huracan STO delivers all the excitement of a beautifully balanced, lightweight and aerodynamically superior super sportscar, mirroring the driving feeling and exhilaration of Super Trofeo, and perfectly set up for the world’s most demanding tracks but created for the road. The extensive technical solutions and intelligence gained from both our Super Trofeo and GT3 programs has been refined and embodied in the Huracán STO, allowing the pilot to experience the emotions of a racing driver, daily, in a road-legal Lamborghini super sportscar able to take lap records,” added Maurizio Reggiani, Chief Technical Officer.

Aerodynamic superiority
The Huracan STO has an entirely new exterior design, revising the familiar Lamborghini profile to optimize airflow. Inspired by the racing cars, the Huracan STO reflects the technology transfer in every aesthetic detail.

2021 Lamborghini Huracan STO

Every aspect of the design draws on the aerodynamic efficiency and lightweight technologies demanded in motorsports. While the Centro Stile department focussed on aesthetic excellence, Lamborghini’s R&D and Squadra Corse departments optimized the car to ensure the best driving performance.

The bonnet, fenders and the front bumper are a single unit referred to as the ‘cofango’ (a combination of the Italian words for bonnet and gender – cofano and parafango). Inspired by the Miura and more recent Sesto Elemento, it is not only lightweight but also a time-saving access feature in motorsports.

2021 Lamborghini Huracan STO

New air ducts on the front bonnet increase airflow through the central radiator to improve engine cooling as well as helping generate downforce. The cofango also incorporates a new front splitter, directing airflow to the newly designed underbody of the car and to the rear diffuser.

The cofango is shaped to push the airflow on top of the front fenders, which incorporate louvres to maximize airflow exiting from the wheelhouse, reducing pressure inside and increasing the front downforce. The side profile of the cofango directs airflow around the front wheels, reducing drag.

2021 Lamborghini Huracan STO

NACA air intake
A new rear fender derived from the Super Trofeo EVO achieves both reduction of the front area of the car and consequently the drag, while increasing rear downforce and the car’s overall aerodynamic efficiency. A NACA air intake integrated into the STO’s rear fender serves as an engine air intake, with the shortened duct allowing a 30% decrease in static pressure losses.

The revised rear cover design features an integrated air scoop to improve air-cooling at the rear compartment. Dedicated air deflectors, integrated in the rear bonnet’s frame, manage the significant incoming airflow from the snorkel according to the temperature regulation needs of the engine and exhaust outlet.

2021 Lamborghini Huracan STO

An integrated ‘shark fin’ on the rear panel improves the dynamic abilities of the STO, particularly when cornering. In such conditions, the incoming airflow has a yaw angle, and the different pressure levels generated by the two sides of the fin create a positive effect on yaw stability. The fin also helps straighten airflow onto the wing, increasing wing efficiency during cornering.

Adjustable rear wing
A manual, easily adjusted aero set-up of the new rear wing optimizes aerodynamic balance and drag resistance according to track characteristics. A single slotted wing with double airfoil allows the front part of the airfoil to rotate into three positions to enhance rear downforce. The aero balance of the car can be varied by 13% to adapting to different driving styles and conditions.

2021 Lamborghini Huracan STO

The new front brake cooling ducts are dedicated to cooling the discs and calipers of the new CCM-R brakes, working in conjunction with the cofango air-louvres that extract hot air from the front wheelhouses. Additional air intakes including on the underbody, and optimized nolders, are located at the rear.

All the efforts have given the Huracan STO the highest level of downforce in its class. Overall airflow efficiency is improved by 37% and a significant downforce increase of 53% is reached over the Huracan Performante.

Lightweight approach
The Huracan STO uses carbonfibre in more than 75% of its exterior panels, benefiting from complex structures produced as a single component for increased integrity while also reducing weight via less fixing points.

2021 Lamborghini Huracan STO

The lightweight technologies include a carbonfibre ‘sandwich’ technique utilized in the aerospace industry. Thanks to this technology, 25% less carbonfibre material is used while maintaining the same structural rigidity. With a dry weight of 1,339 kgs, the Huracan STO’s weight is reduced by 43 kgs compared to the already lightweight Huracan Performante.

Contributing to the weight reductions are a windscreen 20% lighter than the Huracan Performante, and magnesium rims. The rims are fitted with bespoke Bridgestone Potenza tyres, available in two versions: one road-focused, the other more track-oriented.

Squadra Corse at its heart
The V10 naturally aspirated engine of the Huracán EVO and Super Trofeo produces 640 bhp/565 Nm.  It has been calibrated for a very sporty and responsive racing feel, with a direct pedal-to-throttle feeling and improved engine sound sharpness at high revs. The gearchange speed has been further increased to provide a highly responsive and rapid gearshift.

2021 Lamborghini Huracan STO

With an increased wheel track, stiffer suspension bushing, specific anti-roll bars and Lamborghini’s MagneRide 2.0, rear-wheel steering, and a more direct and fixed steering ratio, this car has been designed for a race environment.

With a weight to power ratio of 2.09 kgs/bhp, claimed acceleration from 0 – 100km/h is 3 seconds with braking from 100 km/h – 0 in 30 metres. On a road where speed limits are non-existent, the driver will be able to take it up as high as 310 km/h, it is claimed.

Interior designed for purpose
The interior of the Huracan STO reflects the lightweight persona of the exterior, as evident in the extensive use of carbonfibre features throughout the cockpit, including the sport seats. Even the  carpets are removed and replaced by floor mats in carbonfibre, and the fully carbonfibre lightweight door panels use the door latch as an opener.

As with every Lamborghini, customers can fully personalize both the exterior and interior via the Ad Personam personalization program. Virtually  limitless paint and trim combinations as well as race-style vinyls allow for personalized livery. An example as shown in the pictures of the launch car has Blu Laufey and Arancio California which emphasises the Huracan STO’s young and sporty racing spirit.

With the exception of the LM 002 and Urus SUVs, all Lamborghini cars today have their engines mid-mounted, behind the passenger compartment. The last model to have its engine in front was the Jarama, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.

The Jarama GT made its debut at the 1970 Geneva Motor Show and was a 2+2 grand touring sedan. It was technically based on the 400GT and Islero, maintaining the same mechanical layout but with a revised chassis.

1970 Lamborghini Jarama

Styled by Bertone’s Gandini
Marcello Gandini at Bertone styled the new bodywork, adopting a silhouette which followed the design trends of the 1970s with taut and angular lines. The bodywork of the pre-series units was assembled by Carrozzeria Marazzi, which had just finished production of the Islero, while the actual production car would be produced in Carrozzeria Bertone’s plant in Turin.

The engine, powered by 6 double-body Weber 40 DCOE carburettors, was the well-proven Lamborghini V12, with double overhead camshafts per bank, capable of delivering 350 hp for a top speed of 260 km/h.

1970 Lamborghini Jarama

The improved chassis had a brake system with 4 large discs, of which the front ones were ventilated – high-performance features back then!  The track width was widened by 10 cm to 1490 mm  and 15-inch Campagnolo wheels of magnesium were installed at each corner.

Luxurious,. spacious cabin
The interior was very luxurious, with leather upholstery, air-conditioning, and a comfortable passenger compartment for a sportscar. The was generous space allocated for the boot area for the four occupants’ luggage.

1970 Lamborghini Jarama

The Jarama was further evolved and a GTS version was displayed at the 1972 Geneva Motor Show. This had 365 bhp and was distinguished by a transverse air intake on the bonnet and two air outlets behind the front wheel arches.

1970 Lamborghini Jarama

The dashboard was redesigned with new instruments and aluminium trim, and restructured front seats improved the roominess in the back. Also different on the Jarama S version were the alloy wheels –  less elaborate and without the single central nut.

One of the special  Jarama models was the Rally, a project by Lamborghini’s test driver, Bob Wallace. It had a modified 3.9-litre V12 engine with an output of 380 bhp and a top speed of 270 km/h. The Jarama Rally was never entered in any competition and was later sold off.

1970 Lamborghini Jarama

Ferrucio Lamborghini’s favourite model
Production of the Jarama spanned 6 years, during which time 328 units were produced. Ferruccio Lamborghini personally owned a Jarama S which he said was his favourite model and his car is among those displayed at the Lamborghini museum next to the factory.

Save lots of money by building your own Lamborghini Huracan EVO!

Automobili Lamborghini was established in 1963 and the sleek design of its sportscars and their high performance helped to build its reputation very quickly. With Bertone providing the designs, some of which were futuristic, almost any Lamborghini was bound to turn heads as it passed by.

1974 Lamborghini Urraco

Innovative technical solutions
One model which stood out for having introduced innovative technical solutions was the Urraco (Italian for ‘little bull’). Renowned designer Marcello Gandini, the principal designer at Bertone, styled the car which was unveiled 50 years ago this month at the Turin Motor Show.

The Urraco, with its sharp features, was a fast 2+2 coupe, with a mid-mounted V8 rear engine and independent MacPherson strut system on both front and rear – the first time on a production car. Only 4.25 metres long, the Urraco’s interior space was designed with an advanced theme.

Three engine sizes
Initially, it was powered by a 2.5-litre V8 producing 220 bhp at 7,800 rpm and maxim torque of 176 Nm, which took it to a top speed of 245 km/h. An interesting feature of the V8 engine was a single overhead camshaft per bank.

The technical refinement was completed by the use of a Heron chamber cylinder head with flat inner part and the combustion chamber contained in a depression in the top of the piston. This allowed for a higher compression ratio to be achieved without increasing the production costs. Another novelty for Lamborghini was the installation of 4 Weber double-body 40 IDF1 type carburettors.

1974 Lamborghini Urraco

The Urraco with a 2.5-litre engine, produced from 1970 to 1976, was produced in the largest volume – 520 units. A complementary variant was introduced at the 1974 Turin Motor Show which had a smaller displacement of 2 litres (217 bhp/220 Nm). This was mainly to suit the Italian market which had changed tax laws in the early 1970s. This variant was available between 1975 and 1977.

For other markets, Lamborghini was able to offer a bigger 3-litre engine that produced up to 265 bhp/265 Nm. This was sold from 1975 to 1979, and accounted for 24% of all Urracos produced. Lamborghini had hoped to sell up to 1,000 Urracos each year but in the end, only 776 were ever produced in total.

1974 Lamborghini Urraco

More automation in production
The production system for the car was also innovative. From the early stages, it was planned to make more use of the manufacturing capacity at the factory. The Urraco was to be much less artisanal than the other Lamborghini models which it shared little with. With computer-controlled processes, this would also enable higher output and, in keeping with the strategy of Ferruccio Lamborghini, make a Lamborghini more accessible to a wider, albeit still limited, group of customers.

Lamborghini Aventador SVJ 63 Roadster commemorates company’s founding year

Not everyone will be able to own a Lamborghini as it requires a lot of money to acquire one (an understatement, of course). But many should be able to afford €34.99 (about RM170) for the Lamborghini Huracan EVO created through a collaboration between Automobili Lamborghini and Ravensburger.

“With Essenza SCV12, we wanted to elevate not only performance and driving pleasure but also the experience off the track.” And with that promise, Stefano Domenicali, CEO & Chairman of Automobili Lamborghini, unveiled the Essenza SCV12, a track-only hypercar in a limited edition of 40 units.

Developed by Lamborghini Squadra Corse and designed by Lamborghini Centro Stile, the Essenza SCV12 is the direct descendant of cars such as the Miura Jota and Diablo GTR. It is propelled by the most powerful V12 naturally aspirated engine ever developed by Lamborghini, combined with aerodynamics inspired by racing prototypes and new technical solutions designed for the ultimate driving experience.

2020 Lamborghini Essenza SCV12

“Essenza SCV12 represents the purest track driving experience that our brand can offer, an engineering feat that highlights the inextricable link between our cars and the asphalt of the track. Lamborghini is a brand constantly looking to the future and searching for new challenges, but we never forget our roots and who we are: Essenza SCV12 is the perfect combination of our unconventional spirit as a super sports car manufacturer and our true passion for motorsport,” said Mr. Domenicali.

Born for the track
The Essenza SCV12 was created for exclusive track use, with engineering solutions derived from racing. The V12 engine can generate over 830 bhp, with a significant power uplift from the RAM effect at high speeds. The exhaust pipes were designed by Capristo to reduce the back pressure, improving performance and emphasizing the unique sound of the engine.

2020 Lamborghini Essenza SCV12

The power is handled by a new X-trac sequential 6-speed gearbox as a structural element within the chassis, combined with rear-wheel drive to ensure compactness, structural continuity, and greater torsional stiffness.

Not surprisingly, the Essenza SCV12 has an exceptional power-to-weight ratio of 1.66 bhp/kg, thanks to the lighter weight of the new-generation carbonfibre monocoque chassis without internal rollcage. It is also the first GT car developed in accordance with FIA prototype safety rules.

To ensure maximum agility and stability on even the most demanding tracks, kinematic solutions inspired by racing prototypes have been adopted. These include the pushrod rear suspension installed directly on the gearbox. Specific slick Pirelli tyres are mounted on magnesium rims (19 inches in front, 20 inches at the rear), which frame the brake discs and calipers developed by Brembo Motorsport.

2020 Lamborghini Essenza SCV12

“Essenza SCV12 is the ultimate expression of the V12 naturally aspirated engine, the symbol of our brand since 1963. It is a project in which we combined the pursuit of engineering perfection with refined aerodynamics, futuristic design, and innovative solutions such as the carbon monocoque without internal roll-cage. The result is an engaging and uncompromising car, born to race and to showcase on the track the characteristics that have made Lamborghini famous worldwide, guaranteeing unique and special emotions for both the driver and onlookers,” said Maurizio Reggiani, Chief Technical Officer of Automobili Lamborghini.

Aerodynamics from racing experience
The aerodynamics benefit from Lamborghini Squadra Corse’s GT racing experience to ensure a level of efficiency and higher downforce levels than a GT3 car, with a value of 1,200 kgs at 250 km/h. The front bonnet has a double air intake with a central rib, typical of the Huracan racing cars, which separates the hot airflow coming from the radiator and conveys the cold air to the airscoop located on the roof.

The front features a splitter and two lateral elements; on the sides, the flows for engine and gearbox cooling have been optimized through the use of vertical fins situated on the side sills. The aerodynamic package is completed by the large adjustable double-profile rear wing.

Lamborghini DNA in design
The sleek yet taut and dynamic lines combine the appeal of 1970s prototypes and elements typical of Lamborghini’s DNA, like the hexagonal geometry that characterizes the front headlights, and the roof airscoop and air vents that frame the steering wheel. There is also the unmistakable “Y”, the stylistic feature repeated on the livery and in the cockpit, where each element represents the best compromise between lightweight, functionality and design.

The instrument panel and dashboard are supported by an asymmetrical carbon ‘Y’, a load-bearing and stylistic element that frames the cockpit, designed to put the driver at the centre of an absolute driving experience.
