Maserati Memperkenalkan GranCabrio Folgore – 818hp, 447km Jarak Memandu

Maserati telah memperkenalkan kereta terbarunya, GranCabrio Folgore, menambah pilihan elektrik kepada dunia kereta convertible. Ia menyertai kumpulan kecil convertible elektrik yang tersedia hari ini. Versi open-top GranTurismo Folgore ini berkongsi enjin dan ciri utamanya dengan versi coupe, menjanjikan pemanduan mendebarkan tanpa pelepasan sifar.

GranCabrio Folgore mempunyai tiga motor elektrik berteknologi tinggi, masing-masing dengan pengawal kuasanya sendiri. Dua motor duduk di belakang, manakala satu di hadapan, memberikan kereta itu jumlah keluaran berkuasa sebanyak 818hp dalam mod “MaxBoost”. Walaupun dalam mod biasa, ia masih menawarkan 751hp yang mengagumkan.

Kereta elektrik ini dijana oleh pek bateri litium-ion berbentuk T yang diletakkan secara strategik di antara dan di belakang tempat duduk untuk mengekalkan bentuk convertible klasik yang utuh. This open-air alternative to the GranTurismo Folgore shares its drivetrain and core features with its coupe counterpart, promising an exhilarating driving experience with zero emissions.

At the heart of the GranCabrio Folgore lies a cutting-edge drivetrain comprised of three radial-flux permanent-magnet motors, each equipped with its own silicon carbide inverter. With two motors positioned at the rear and one at the front, the GranCabrio boasts a formidable peak output of 818hp in “MaxBoost” mode, delivering impressive performance on demand. In standard operation, the car offers a still-impressive 751hp.

Powering this electric marvel is a T-shaped lithium-ion battery pack, strategically located between and behind the passengers to preserve the GranCabrio’s classic proportions. With a capacity of 92.5 kWh, the battery pack enables rapid charging capabilities, with regenerative braking capable of absorbing up to 400kW for short bursts and continuous charging at 270kW from compatible stations. To address potential charging infrastructure limitations, Maserati has equipped the GranCabrio with an onboard “DC Booster” system, allowing it to charge at 50kW from older stations.

In addition to its advanced drivetrain, the GranCabrio Folgore features innovative technology to optimise range and efficiency, including regenerative braking paddles and a guidance system to maximise available range. With a stated range of 447km on the European WLTP cycle, the GranCabrio offers impressive long-distance capabilities without compromising on performance.

Complementing its electrifying performance is a luxurious interior equipped with premium amenities, including a high-end sound system with up to 16 speakers, seat-mounted heaters for enhanced comfort, and a meticulously crafted cabin befitting its six-figure price tag.

While exact pricing and availability details are yet to be announced, the GranCabrio Folgore is poised to make a grand entrance into the electric vehicle market, offering discerning drivers a unique blend of luxury, performance, and sustainability in a captivating convertible package.

Maserati Memperkenalkan GranCabrio 2024 – 535hp dan 650Nm

Maserati telah mengumumkan kereta sport GranCabrio 2024, sedikit lewat daripada yang dirancang disebabkan oleh beberapa kelewatan model. Ia merupakan versi convertible daripada coupe GranTurismo yang diperkenalkan setahun setengah yang lalu, menandakan model baru pertama Maserati dalam 14 tahun.

Tidak seperti model lama dengan enjin V8 Ferrari tanpa turbo, GranCabrio baru dilengkapi dengan enjin petrol V6 twin-turbo. Pada mulanya, ia akan mempunyai enjin ini dengan versi elektrik kemungkinan datang kemudian.

GranCabrio mempunyai atap berbahan lembut yang tersedia dalam lima warna – hitam, biru, kelabu, ‘greige,’ dan merah garnet. Atapnya dibuka dalam masa 14 saat dan ditutup dalam masa 16 saat pada kelajuan sehingga 50km/j. Anda boleh mengawalnya melalui menu skrin sentuh, dan ia juga dilengkapi dengan pemanas leher dan ‘wind stopper’ yang boleh dilipat untuk keselesaan tambahan.

Maserati Unveils The 2024 GranCabrio – 535hp and 650Nm

Maserati has unveiled the 2024 GranCabrio sports car, albeit six months later than scheduled due to a series of new-model delays. Set to arrive in European showrooms later this year, the GranCabrio is the convertible counterpart to the GranTurismo coupe introduced 18 months ago, marking Maserati’s first all-new model in 14 years.

Unlike its predecessor, which featured non-turbo Ferrari V8 power and ceased production in late 2019, the new GranCabrio debuts with a twin-turbo V6 petrol engine. Initially, it will be offered with this powertrain, with an electric version likely to follow.

Distinguishing itself from the coupe variant, the GranCabrio boasts a soft-top roof available in five colours – black, blue, grey, ‘greige,’ and garnet red. The roof operates swiftly, opening in 14 seconds and closing in 16 seconds at speeds of up to 50km/h. Controlled via a touchscreen menu, the roof also includes a neck warmer and a folding ‘wind stopper’ for added comfort.

Externally, the GranCabrio mirrors its coupe counterpart, featuring an evolutionary design inherited from its predecessor dating back to 2007.

Under the hood, the GranCabrio is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo petrol ‘Nettuno’ V6 engine developed by Maserati, delivering 535hp and 650Nm of torque in Trofeo trim. Power is channelled to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission, enabling a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 3.6 seconds, 0-200km/h in 12.2 seconds, and a top speed of 316km/h.

Equipped with adaptive air suspension, sizable brakes, large wheels, and advanced driver aids, the GranCabrio promises dynamic performance and precise handling. It offers four drive modes – Comfort, GT, Sport, and Corsa – along with a full ESC Off setting for enthusiasts.

Inside, the GranCabrio boasts luxurious appointments, including a head-up display, a digital interpretation of Maserati’s traditional clock, premium leather, aluminum finishes, and a high-end sound system.

Advanced safety features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-centring assist, autonomous emergency braking, and a 360-degree camera enhance safety and convenience for occupants.

Despite sharing design elements with the GranTurismo, Maserati claims a 100kg weight increase for the GranCabrio. Nevertheless, it promises an exhilarating driving experience coupled with unparalleled luxury and comfort.

Maserati MC20 Folgore Elektrik Akan Dilancarkan Pada Tahun Depan

Maserati telah mengumumkan kemunculan versi elektrik kereta sport MC20-nya, yang diberi nama MC20 Folgore, sebagai sebahagian daripada usaha jenama tersebut ke arah elektrifikasi. Maserati has announced the debut of the electric version of its MC20 sportscar, named the MC20 Folgore, as part of the brand’s intensified push towards electrification. Originally slated for a 2022 release, the electric variant will now hit the market in 2025. Despite the delay, Maserati aims to make a significant impact with the sporty EV, showcasing its commitment to sustainable and high-performance electric vehicles.

While images of the MC20 Folgore are yet to be released, it is expected to closely resemble its petrol-powered counterpart with distinctive differences like a charging port and the absence of exhaust at the rear. Aerodynamic tweaks may also be incorporated to enhance efficiency.

The primary transformation lies in the powertrain, featuring a tri-motor setup capable of producing over 700hp. This electric powerhouse is anticipated to accelerate the car from 0- 100km/h in just two seconds, a notable improvement over the twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre Nettuno V-6 in the current MC20. Maserati envisions adding only around 99kg to the car’s weight despite the increased potency.

The MC20 Folgore is part of Maserati’s broader electrification strategy, which includes the upcoming GranCabrio Folgore set to be released later this year. Additionally, a new electric crossover model is slated for 2027, with an electric version of the Quattroporte expected in 2028.

Closer to home, back in October of last year, Maserati introduced the MC20 Cielo to the Malaysian market. The MC20 Cielo made its global debut in 2022 and is priced at RM1,228,000.00 before local duties and taxes, customisation options, and insurance.

Maserati MC20 Notte: Inspired By The Mystical Power Of Darkness

Maserati introduces the MC20 Notte, a limited edition of its super sports car MC20, paying homage to the brand’s racing legacy. Limited to 50 units globally, the MC20 Notte Edition combines the luxury and sportiness of the MC20 with an exclusive design inspired by the mystical power of darkness.

Collaborating with Maserati reference driver and former GT1 world champion Andrea Bertolini, the Fuoriserie team developed the MC20 Notte bodywork. The exterior transitions from glossy black to a magnetic matte ‘nero essenza’ hue, with silver details like the Trident, side logos, and Maserati signature turning to matte white gold, reminiscent of the brand’s motorsport history.

The 20” matte black birdcage wheels with matte white golden accents, black brake calipers, and Alcantara black/grey sport seats with yellow stitching contribute to the Notte’s distinctive look. The interior features the Trident on the headrests, a sport steering wheel with carbon fiber inserts, and an exclusive metal plate celebrating the MC20 Notte Edition.

Maserati MC20 Cielo Launched In Malaysia From RM1.2 Million

Maserati has introduced the MC20 Cielo Spyder to the Malaysian market, adding an open-top variant to its lineup. The MC20 Cielo Spyder made its global debut in 2022, following the launch of the MC20 supercar in 2020. The name ‘Cielo’ translates to ‘sky’ in Italian, emphasising the design’s focus on offering a connection to the elements. MC stands for Maserati Corse (‘Racing’); 20 refers to 2020, the year that began the brand’s new era.

One of the standout features of the MC20 Cielo Spyder is its powered roof mechanism, allowing the driver to fold the roof into a storage area at the rear in 12 seconds. The roof is designed to offer best-in-class thermal insulation.

The open-top experience is further enhanced by electrochromic ‘smart glass’ technology. With the press of a button, this glass can transition from opaque to clear or vice versa. This technology, known as Polymer-Dispersed Liquid Crystal (PDLC), is used in the sunroof to provide versatile transparency control using electrical charges. It’s commonly found in high-end vehicles for sunroof and rearview mirror applications.

For audiophiles, the MC20 Cielo Spyder offers an optional High Premium Sonus Faber audio system, optimised for the spyder’s cabin, which can be open at times. The 12 speakers are strategically positioned to deliver exceptional sound quality.

Much like the MC20 supercar, the MC20 Cielo Spyder underwent extensive wind tunnel testing to refine its minimalist design and optimise aerodynamic efficiency. The car features butterfly doors, which open upwards to facilitate ease of entry and exit, even with the car’s low floor.

Under the hood, the MC20 Cielo Spyder boasts the Maserati-patented 90-degree V6 Nettuno twin-turbo petrol engine with the Twin Combustion Chamber. This innovative approach, borrowed from Formula 1, enhances combustion efficiency with a pre-combustion chamber equipped with twin spark plugs. Although supplied by Ferrari, the engine has been further developed by Maserati’s engineers and manufactured in-house.

The 3.0-litre engine produces 630bhp and 730Nm of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. Both the MC20 and the MC20 Cielo Spyder utilise a carbon-fibre monocoque tub with a lightweight carbon-fibre and aluminium body shell. This platform is designed to be adaptable for future electrification without requiring substantial structural modifications.

There are several more Active Safety Systems. In addition to the parking sensors, rear-view camera, and blind spot monitoring that have been standard on the MC20 since the MY22, the new spyder adds a new 360° camera, automated emergency braking, and traffic sign information.

MC20 Cielo’s launch version features a new three-layer metallic colour known as Acquamarina, available as part of the Maserati Fuoriserie customisation programme. A colour that interacts with light, revealing itself in a surprising way. The base is a pastel grey inspired by racing, reminiscent of the MC20’s sporty DNA, accompanied by an iridescent aquamarine mica that enlivens the hue and makes it exceptional.

The Maserati MC20 Cielo is priced from RM1,228,000.00 before local duties and taxes, customisation options, and insurance.
