Petronas Dagangan

Petronas Dagangan Bhd has announced the full restoration of diesel supply at its stations nationwide within the next two days. The company had earlier disclosed a diesel shortage issue affecting several Petronas stations, with the problem expected to persist until December 31, 2023.

Petronas Dagangan expressed appreciation for customers’ patience and cooperation throughout the disruption, reiterating its commitment to providing uninterrupted service.

The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDN) Sarawak reported that it had not received information from Petronas regarding the supply disruption affecting stations in Sarawak and Sabah.

KPDN Sarawak stated that its Enforcement Division is actively conducting inspections and continuous monitoring at all petrol stations.

Petronas Lubricants Marketing (M) Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Petronas Dagangan Berhad, has launched the first ever ‘mobile’ service workshop, where motorcyclists can get their bikes serviced somewhere other than a normal workshop.

Modified from a 20-foot container, “The mobile-service workshop aims to provide our customers convenience and a unique seamless experience, where they can just sit back, relax and leave the service to our skilled technicians” said Dato Sri Syed Zainal Abidin, PDB’s MD and CEO (below). “On average the end-to-end process takes about 8-minutes for small and medium capacity bikes” he added.

Also announced at this event, in conjunction with the upcoming 2019 MotoGP season – in which Petronas is represented in all classes – Petronas is launching the “Petronas Sprinta Bonanza 2019” Contest, in which winners stand to ride away with monthly prizes such as a brand new Yamaha Y15ZR!

In addition, the overall grand prize winner at the end of the promotion will take home a new Yamaha R6 Superbike, painted in special Petronas Yamaha SRT MotoGP Team colours! The second place winner will take home a new Yamaha R25, also in team livery.

The contest runs from 11th March to 30th September 2019. For more info on the Mobile Service Workshop and the “Bonanza MotoGP 2019 Contest”, log on to www.mymesra.com.my

PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad (PDB) is collaborating with AirAsia to bring Malaysian football fans to the second leg of AFF Suzuki Cup Final against Vietnam this Saturday. As the official fuel partner for AirAsia, PDB is sponsoring jet fuel for the discounted AirAsia flights for Harimau Malaya fans travelling to Hanoi, Vietnam to support our national football team. With this sponsorship, the cost is further reduced by RM50 per guest. AirAsia will refund the difference to all fans who purchased their seats earlier.

Speaking about the initiative, PDB’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Sri Syed Zainal Abidin said, “The team had showcased a tremendous performance at the last match and PDB is proud to be part of this exciting, patriotic journey. This is one of the ways that we offer value-added services to Malaysians as the nation’s leading retailer. We are happy to be able to team up with AirAsia to realise the fans’ dreams of supporting Team Harimau Malaya in person and keep their spirits burning.”

He added, “I would like to urge all Malaysians to take this opportunity support the team and be part of the excitement. We wish Team Harimau Malaya the very best, and do make Malaysia proud!”

Now here’s a bit of trivia from Petronas: Today, our domestic retail arm, PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad (PDB), operates more than 1,000 service stations nationwide. But #DidYouKnow, our first flagship service station was opened in 1981 in Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Kuala Lumpur, where it still stands to this very day? (below)
