Toyota Teases New C-HR, Confirmed For 26 June Launch

Prior to its official debut on June 26, Toyota has teased the next-generation Toyota C-HR, which features a bumper-width rear light bar and an illuminated rear logo.

The totally redesigned small SUV is ready to compete with models like the Nissan Juke and Kia Niro, going upmarket by adding a plug-in hybrid powertrain to its lineup. The Japanese company describes it as “edgy” and “sophisticated.”

Recent pictures of the car being tested on public roads appear to reveal the ultimate production model, which should mark a significant shift from the current version.

Toyota C-HR prologue Concept Previews Next Generation of Compact Crossover SUV

When Toyota revealed the bZ Compact SUV Concept last month, it was suspected that the design of the battery electric model might also be used for the next generation of the C-HR compact SUV. The first generation of the C-HR has been in production since late 2016 so it should be due for change.

Now Toyota has also revealed the C-HR prologue and mentions that it is a preview of the next generation of the compact SUV. It’s likely that the new model will be launched in 2023 though there’s no indication whether it will be during the early part or as late as the Japan Mobility Show (the new name for the Tokyo Motor Show) at the end of October.

Untuk tahun kedua di dalam pasaran Malaysia, model Toyota C-HR tawaran dari UMW Toyota Sdn Bhd telah dikemaskini untuk tahun 2019 dengan beberapa perubahan komestik yang memberi peningkatan dari segi penampilan bagi model ‘crossover’ kompak popular ini. Fattah Amin dilantik sebagai duta Toyota C-HR

UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd (UMWT) hari ini mengumumkan pelantikan Fattah Amin, seorang pelakon dan selebriti terkenal di Malaysia, sebagai duta bagi SUV crossover kompak Toyota C-HR. Ini sekali gus merupakan lanjutan kerjasama antara beliau dan UMWT selepas penglibatannya di dalam Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) musim pertama sebelum ini. (more…)
