Hot Wheels Japan Historics 3 makes global debut at AOS 2019

One of the world’s most recognized companies and legendary die-cast toy car manufacturer Hot Wheels made their way to the AOS 2019 (Art of Speed Malaysia) and to make things extremely special, they’ve unveiled their latest Hot Wheels Japan Historics 3 collection.

The renowned Malaysian ‘Kustom Kulture’ event was chosen for the global debut of the brand’s latest limited-edition collection which comprises of five legendary Japanese models. These significant models that played a huge role in the Japanese automotive history are:

  • Datsun Sunny GB120 ‘Sanitora’ pickup truck
  • 1985 Honda City Turbo II ‘Bulldog’
  • 1968 Mazda Cosmo Sport
  • Nissan Skyline RS R30
  • 1965 Nissan Silvia first-generation

To make things even more special, AOS brought in two life-sized models of from the collection which last weekend at MAEPS Serdang which were the Nissan Skyline RS R30 and the 1985 Honda City Turbo II. The Skyline was flown in from Brunei and custom painted just for Hot Wheels Japan Historics 3 global debut.

There’s still no news on the pricing of this very limited collection from Hot Wheels but what we do know is that it’ll go on sale sometime next year. Looking at how fast the first two collections sold out in the past years when they went up on sale, we suggest that enthusiasts better be prepared if you want to cop one of your very own.
