The motorcycling world came to a standstill when BMW Motorrad introduced the new R1300GS.

It was unlike anything we had seen and the collective sighs of BMW fans all over the world was deafening. What had BMW done to the darling of adventure bikes?

But its going to be about a year now and the design of the new GS has still not quite sunken in as yet.

However, the GS is a bike that needs to be ridden to be appreciated and after spending a couple of days with one, we reckon it's still very much a proper GS.
