BMW Group Malaysia and Gentari Electrify The Exchange TRX

BMW Group Malaysia, in collaboration with Gentari Sdn Bhd (Gentari) through its subsidiary Gentari Green Mobility Sdn Bhd, has unveiled new electric vehicle (EV) charging facilities at The Exchange TRX, a premier lifestyle destination in Malaysia. These state-of-the-art facilities represent another significant stride towards enhancing the country’s EV ecosystem.

Located conveniently at The Exchange TRX’s basement carpark, the newly introduced EV charging facilities comprise thirteen units of 22kWh AC chargers. These chargers offer EV owners a fast and efficient method to recharge their vehicles while visiting the luxurious shopping hub. Five charging units will be stationed at the Premium Parking level, while the remaining eight units will be situated at Level B1.

BMW Group Malaysia has now made over 2,020 charging facilities accessible to its customers across its network through collaborations with various EV charging providers in Malaysia. By forming purposeful partnerships with key industry players, BMW Group Malaysia remains dedicated to shaping the future of mobility in the nation. Additionally, over 100 BMW i and MINI charging facilities are available at authorised dealerships and partnering venues nationwide, with plans for further strategic infrastructure expansion in the coming year.

As a prominent charging point operator in Malaysia, Gentari underscores its commitment to safety and regulatory compliance with the largest network of licensed chargers certified by the Energy Commission. Through its recently launched clean energy platform ‘Gentari Go’, Gentari enables customers to access a combined total of over 2,000 chargers across Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand through cross-border roaming partnerships.

The EV charging stations at The Exchange TRX are accessible to electric vehicle owners from 10 AM to 10 PM daily, with charging rates set at RM0.25 per minute.
