Leapmotor C10 Receives Practical and Performance Enhancements for 2025 Model Year in Malaysia

The all-electric Leapmotor C10 has arrived in Malaysia with a host of significant upgrades for its 2025 model year, reinforcing its position as one of the most compelling EV options in its segment. Priced at RM125,000, the refreshed model now offers even greater value, coinciding with the brand’s recognition as China’s fastest-growing electric vehicle marque and in celebration of Father’s Day.

Beginning June 2025, the updated C10 is now available at Leapmotor showrooms nationwide. Among the key enhancements is the addition of a new 32-litre front trunk—or ‘frunk’—providing added storage for daily convenience. The vehicle also features a boot tonneau cover to help conceal and protect valuable items stored in the rear cargo area.

Charging capability has been significantly improved, thanks to the introduction of an upgraded 11 kW on-board charger (OBC). This new system replaces the previous 6.6 kW unit and results in a major reduction in AC charging time. Charging from 30% to 80% now takes just four hours, down from six, significantly boosting usability for urban drivers and long-distance commuters alike.

In terms of safety and usability, the C10 now benefits from a newly added Direct Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), offering real-time tyre condition monitoring to alert drivers of any inconsistencies. A motorised tyre inflator pump kit is also included as part of the vehicle’s standard convenience features.

Interior updates bring a refreshed aesthetic aligned with exterior colour choices. The Midnight Aurora interior trim has been replaced with a new Black interior for vehicles finished in Pearly White, Canopy Grey, and Tundra Grey. Meanwhile, the Glazed Green exterior option is now matched with an exclusive Camel Brown interior, which replaces the former Criollo Brown scheme. All interior seating continues to use OEKO-Tex Standard 100® certified silicone textiles, ensuring baby-safe, non-toxic, and premium upholstery throughout the cabin.

The Leapmotor C10 has earned international acclaim, having received the International CMF Design Award and the US Muse Design Award for its blend of minimalist style, forward-thinking features, and dynamic performance. The design and engineering team, in collaboration with Maserati, has optimised the driving dynamics of the C10, resulting in an agile and responsive electric SUV experience.

The vehicle is powered by a 69.9 kWh lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) battery and an efficient electric motor that delivers 214hp. It offers a practical WLTP-rated driving range of up to 424km on a single charge, making it suitable for both city use and longer journeys.

Leapmotor continues to make waves in the EV space, having recently been named the number one fastest-growing new energy vehicle (NEV) startup in China over the past decade. Between January and May 2025 alone, the company sold an impressive 173,658 vehicles, reflecting its growing influence and consumer confidence in its products.

Positioned as a D-segment SUV at a C-segment price, the Leapmotor C10 presents a compelling value proposition for Malaysian consumers. It is backed by a 6-year or 150,000-kilometre vehicle warranty, along with an 8-year or 160,000-kilometre battery warranty, whichever comes first. This comprehensive support underscores Leapmotor’s commitment to quality, durability, and customer assurance in the competitive EV market.

With its new features and reaffirmed value, the 2025 Leapmotor C10 is poised to further strengthen the brand’s footprint in Malaysia and solidify its place as a standout choice among electric SUVs.
