PRO-NET, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Proton, has brought its Electrify Your Life Nationwide Roadshow to a successful close at Central i-City, Shah Alam, following a three-month tour across the country that introduced Malaysians to the brand’s first national electric vehicle, the Proton e.MAS 7.
Launched in May, the campaign has travelled through Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Melaka, Johor Bahru, and Shah Alam, engaging tens of thousands of visitors along the way. Attendees were able to immerse themselves in lifestyle zones, take part in interactive test drives, and gain insights into electric mobility through educational sessions hosted by motoring personalities.
One of the major attractions of the campaign was the Electrify Your Life Contest, which encouraged Malaysians to submit creative slogans. The contest received more than 31,000 entries from roadshow visitors, online participants, and dealership engagements, underlining the strong enthusiasm for Proton’s e.MAS line-up and the growing acceptance of EVs in Malaysia.
According to PRO-NET Chief Executive Officer, Zhang Qiang, the campaign was designed to make electric mobility more relatable and accessible. He explained that the overwhelming response demonstrated that Malaysians were ready to embrace the shift towards EVs and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to guiding the nation towards a cleaner and smarter future.
The finale in Shah Alam also saw the announcement of the grand prize winner. Shahrul Aizat Bin Ishak walked away with a brand-new Proton e.MAS 5, awarded to him even before its official launch. His winning slogan captured the essence of Proton’s EV philosophy: “Proton e.MAS makes my life peaceful without noise, agile without compromise, and driven by innovation.”
Shahrul expressed his joy at the win, admitting that he had not expected his entry to be chosen out of so many submissions. He revealed that the slogan was a collaborative effort with his wife and said he was looking forward to taking his family, including his parents, on journeys with the new e.MAS 5, making the prize even more meaningful.
For PRO-NET, the Electrify Your Life initiative was more than a showcase of its EV portfolio. Chief Branding Officer Salawati Yusoff highlighted that the programme was about creating conversations and helping Malaysians understand what it truly means to adopt an EV lifestyle.
She noted that families, young drivers, and first-time EV users actively engaged with the activities, asking questions and showing curiosity about the technology. This, she said, represented the true impact of the campaign: building confidence and familiarity with EVs while positioning PRO-NET as not just a carmaker, but a partner in the nation’s transition to sustainable mobility.
In parallel with the campaign, the MISI 5 Tour – a nationwide preview of the Proton e.MAS 5 across 13 states – has also been ongoing. Its northern leg, which took place from 22 to 24 August, brought the EV to audiences in Kedah, Penang, and Perak.
The tour will now move to the East Coast, with stops scheduled in Kelantan, Terengganu, and Pahang from 4 to 7 September. Visitors will have the chance to see the Proton e.MAS 5 up close at selected destinations and e.MAS showrooms, providing further opportunities to experience the car ahead of its official market debut.
