Subaru Goes Bold With 2026 WRX and BRZ Series.Yellow Editions

Subaru has decided to add some colour, quite literally, to its performance line-up with the introduction of two striking special editions: the 2026 Subaru WRX Series.Yellow and the 2026 Subaru BRZ Series.Yellow. Limited to just 350 units each, these models celebrate the brand’s rally-bred heritage while blending in modern tech and performance tweaks designed to thrill on both road and track.

Rarity is the name of the game here, as both cars are based on their hardcore tS trims, making them highly desirable collector’s items from day one.

The WRX Series.Yellow sticks to the Subaru formula of all-weather performance. It’s powered by a 2.4-litre turbocharged Boxer engine delivering 271hp and 350Nm of torque, paired exclusively with a six-speed manual gearbox. Subaru Tecnica International (STI) has had its hands on the suspension too, fitting adjustable dampers that promise flexibility between sharp handling and everyday comfort.

Grip comes courtesy of 19-inch matte black alloys wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza S007 tyres, while the cabin adds a dash of exclusivity with Recaro front seats finished in black with yellow stitching and perforated detailing. Drivers also get a tech-heavy interior thanks to an 11.6-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.

For those who prefer their driving pure and unfiltered, the BRZ Series.Yellow delivers a different kind of thrill. Staying true to its rear-wheel-drive nature, it runs on a naturally aspirated 2.4-litre Boxer engine producing 228hp and 249Nm, also matched with a close-ratio six-speed manual.

Like its sibling, there’s no automatic option here, keeping things firmly in enthusiast territory. STI-tuned Hitachi dampers sharpen the chassis, while Brembo brakes and 18-inch matte black alloys shod with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres make sure the coupe handles every bend with precision.

The interior echoes the WRX’s treatment, featuring black upholstery with bright yellow stitching, alongside leather touches on the steering wheel, gear shifter and handbrake.

Together, the WRX and BRZ Series.Yellow editions underline Subaru’s commitment to performance enthusiasts who value rarity, heritage and a proper connection between driver and machine.

They may be painted in a loud shade of yellow, but the appeal runs much deeper than the colour; these are machines built to celebrate Subaru’s motorsport roots while delivering a very modern kind of driving excitement.
