Boustead Petroleum Marketing Sdn. Bhd. (BHPetrol) has taken a big step forward in strengthening consumer confidence, as its range of lubricants has now been officially certified by SIRIM QAS International. The recognition comes in the form of the SIRIM Genuine Product Licensing Certification, awarded under licenses PG000056 and PG000057.
This certification applies across BHPetrol’s core lubricant lines – SynGard passenger car motor oils, Trans commercial vehicle and diesel engine oils, and Dash motorcycle oils – ensuring that each product meets strict quality, safety, and performance standards. The move also aligns with the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living’s enforcement measures, which require all engine oil products sold after 7 October 2025 to carry proper SIRIM certification labels.
With certification in place, BHPetrol will soon begin rolling out official light green SIRIM QR code stickers on all newly manufactured and packaged certified lubricants. For products already in storage, light pink QR code stickers will be distributed to business partners. Through its sales representatives, BHPetrol will help coordinate the distribution of these stickers and provide support to ensure smooth implementation across its dealer network.
The company confirmed that the rollout will happen in phases, with regular updates shared with partners, customers, and the Ministry to maintain transparency and full compliance with SIRIM’s labelling requirements. According to BHPetrol, this initiative reflects its ongoing mission to deliver reliable, high-quality lubricants to Malaysian motorists.
The SynGard passenger car oil range includes premium formulations such as Syngard Pro (SAE 5W-30, fully synthetic, API SP/ILSAC GF-6A), Syngard 8000 (SAE 5W-40, fully synthetic, API SN), and Syngard 8000 ECO (SAE 0W-20, fully synthetic, API SP/ILSAC GF-6A). Semi-synthetic options like Syngard 6000 (SAE 10W-40, API SN/CF) and Syngard 6000 ECO (SAE 10W-30, API SN/ILSAC GF-5) are also available, along with mineral-based blends such as Syngard 3000 (SAE 15W-40, API SL/CF), Syngard 2000 (SAE 20W-50, API SN/CF), and Syngard Lvis/Syngard K (SAE 10W-30, API SN/CF).
For heavy-duty vehicles, the Trans Revo range brings durability and performance, with options like the Trans Revo 4X (SAE 15W-40, available in both fully synthetic API CK-4/ACEA A3/B4 and semi synthetic API CI-4/SL variants). Other choices include Trans Ultra, Trans Super, and Trans Turbotech, all semi synthetic, alongside Trans Diesel (SAE 20W-50, mineral, API CF/SF). The line-up is further supported by mineral oils such as Trans HDX Plus 40, Trans HDX Plus 30, Trans HDX Plus 10W, Trans HD 40, and Trans HD 30, tailored for diesel engines.
The Dash motorcycle oil series is equally extensive, with fully synthetic offerings like Dash 900 4T (SAE 10W-50, API SN/JASO MA2), Dash 800 4T (SAE 10W-40, API SL/CF), and Dash 800 2T (JASO FC/ISO-L-EGB). Semi synthetic blends include Dash 700 4T (SAE 15W-50, API SN/JASO MA2), Dash 600 4T (SAE 10W-40, API SN/SL/CF), Dash 600 4T Scooter (SAE 10W-40, API SN/JASO MB), and Dash 500 4T (SAE 15W-40, API SL/CF). Completing the line are mineral-based products like Dash 300 4T (SAE 20W-50, API SG/CD), Dash 300 2T (JASO FB/ISO-L-EGB), Dash 200 4T (SAE 40, API SE), and Dash 200 2T.
