Proton has officially launched the all-new Saga, marking the start of a new chapter for one of Malaysia’s most recognisable cars. For more than forty years, the Proton Saga has been a familiar presence on Malaysian roads, with over 2.1 million units sold globally since its 1985 debut.

It remains Proton’s most popular and enduring model, a role it continues to build on with this fourth-generation version.

The 2025 Proton Saga arrives with a new powertrain configuration. It is now equipped with a 1.5-litre i-GT engine that produces 120 PS and 150 Nm, paired with a CVT for improved smoothness and refinement. The more affordable variants retain the 4-speed automatic gearbox. Proton says the updates deliver better response and overall efficiency.

The exterior has been completely redesigned. The latest model features a sculpted bonnet, a revised front grille with Proton’s “Sulaman Songket” motif, full LED projector headlamps with DRLs, and a new LED tail light bar inspired by the Proton X50. New 15-inch alloy wheels, offered in both two-tone and single-tone designs, complete the updated look.

Safety has been significantly upgraded. The Saga now includes Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), six airbags, and additional structural reinforcements such as a strengthened front seat cross-member and reinforced centre pillars. Key features include Front Collision Warning, Front Departure Alert, Intelligent High Beam Control and Lane Departure Warning.

The new Saga also becomes Malaysia’s first A-segment model to earn ASEAN NCAP recognition for passing the Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) Motorcyclist Test. It is further supported by Door Opening Warning, Rear Collision Warning, Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

Inside, the cabin receives a notable uplift in both technology and design. The dashboard now houses a 16-inch dual-screen layout that combines a 9-inch infotainment display with a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included as standard.

Other design details include a flat-bottom electric power steering wheel, “Congkak”-inspired air vents and wave-pattern elements inspired by Malaysian coastlines. Two new colours—Marine Blue and Space Grey—join the range.

Prices for the 2025 Proton Saga start from RM38,990 for the Standard variant, RM44,990 for the Executive and RM49,990 for the Premium variant.
For the units registered before 31 December 2025, get a special launch rebate of RM1,000.

iCAUR Malaysia has expanded its electric SUV line-up with the launch of the new iCAUR V23, a model designed to strengthen the brand’s presence in the country’s increasingly competitive EV market. It follows the earlier arrival of the iCAUR 03, but this time the company is leaning into nostalgia, shaping its new C-segment SUV with cues from old-school off-roaders while pairing that look with modern performance and safety technology.

Despite its compact footprint, the V23 carries noticeably bold proportions. It measures 4,220 mm in length, 1,915 mm in width, and 1,845 mm in height, with a 2,735 mm wheelbase that gives it the stance of a true adventure-ready SUV, whether navigating the city or heading into rougher terrain.

Two powertrain choices are available. The rear-wheel-drive version uses a single motor producing 136 PS and 180 Nm, paired with a 59.9 kWh LFP battery. The more powerful intelligent all-wheel-drive model adds a front motor for a combined 211 PS and 292 Nm, supported by a larger 81.8 kWh NMC battery. Range remains a strong selling point for both, with the 2WD rated at 401 km on the NEDC cycle and the iWD stretching that to 501 km.

Ford’s long-held belief that progress is strongest when shared has once again taken centre stage, this time through the global ‘Ford Building Together’ initiative. In Malaysia, Sime Darby Auto ConneXion-Ford carried that spirit forward with an 11-day outreach campaign that delivered food aid and basic healthcare to 600 people from underserved communities across the Klang Valley, Penang, Ipoh and Kuantan. The effort was powered by 55 Ford volunteers who dedicated their time to ensure the assistance reached families who needed it most.

As the sole distributor of Ford vehicles in Malaysia, Auto ConneXion focused its efforts on groups facing significant daily challenges, selecting B40 families, individuals with disabilities, single mothers, Asnaf Fakir and Miskin households, and the Orang Asli as the primary beneficiaries.

The Klang Valley received aid for 200 people, while Penang saw 100 recipients. In Ipoh, 150 individuals—from single parents to low-income families—were supported, and another 150 from the Orang Asli community in Kampung Paya Bungor, Kuantan benefited from the programme.

Ford’s international philanthropic arm emphasised that its mission has always extended beyond engineering vehicles. The company expressed that meaningful change happens when corporations, partners and communities work together, and the Malaysian campaign was held up as an example of that shared purpose.

Shell Malaysia has marked its 75-year partnership with Scuderia Ferrari by unveiling a refreshed Shell Helix portfolio, introducing upgraded formulations and a cleaner, more modern packaging design. The company said the new look was created to make product identification easier and to give the range a stronger presence on the shelf.

The launch was paired with a special drive organised with the Ferrari Owners’ Club Malaysia, where 75 Ferraris took to the road in a tribute to the long-running collaboration.

The centrepiece of the updated line-up is the Shell Helix Ultra ECT C6 0W-20, which Shell describes as its most advanced engine oil to date and one of the earliest in its range to comply with the upcoming 2025 API SQ standard. The formula is the result of decades of technical development carried out alongside Ferrari, reflecting the brand’s efforts to bring motorsport-level refinement to everyday motoring.

It has been engineered to keep modern engines running cleaner, support better fuel efficiency and provide dependable protection in daily Malaysian conditions.

Shell noted that its history of lubricant development has always been tied to real-world performance, with Ferrari acting as a key partner in testing products under extreme conditions. The company said its position as the world’s top lubricant supplier for 19 consecutive years underscores its commitment to pushing quality and efficiency further.

Naza Eastern Motors has pulled the covers off the all-new Suzuki Fronx Hybrid, marking a confident step forward for the brand in Malaysia’s compact SUV landscape. The distributor describes the model as a combination of style, practicality and modern engineering, shaped for drivers who want something distinctive without giving up everyday usability.

The Fronx carries itself with the boldness of an SUV but adopts the smooth, swept-back attitude of a coupe, and it arrives with a five-star ASEAN NCAP rating that places it among the safest in its class.

Built around Suzuki’s latest lightweight platform, the Fronx immediately stands out with its sharp front fascia, chrome-detailed grille and LED lighting. The coupe-like roofline and muscular shoulders add a sense of motion even at a standstill, while the protective cladding and skid plates underline its rugged intentions.

Measuring 3,995 mm in length, 1,550 mm in height, and 1,765 mm in width, with a 2,520 mm wheelbase, the Fronx is approximately the size of the Perodua Ativa, striking a balance between city-friendly dimensions and a confident, planted stance. Buyers will have a range of two-tone and single-tone body colours, paired with 16-inch alloys that round off the SUV’s energetic appearance.

Inside, Suzuki has taken a straightforward yet contemporary approach. A 9-inch HD touchscreen anchors the dashboard, offering Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a 360-degree camera and a Head-Up Display—an uncommon feature in this segment. A leather-wrapped steering wheel with tilt and telescopic adjustment, cruise control and wireless charging completes the driver-focused equipment list.

The cabin itself is designed to be noticeably quiet thanks to strong NVH refinement, while the seats feature contoured shapes and embossed edges that elevate both comfort and visual appeal. Practicality remains a priority, with seven storage spaces, 308 litres of boot capacity and 60:40 split-folding rear seats.

Safety is a key selling point for the Fronx. The model’s five-star ASEAN NCAP rating is supported by an extensive suite of driver assistance systems, including six airbags, ABS with EBD, stability control, hill hold, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert and a wide range of lane-keeping and lane-departure technologies. High Beam Assist adds extra convenience during night driving, while the TECT body structure ensures effective crash energy absorption.

Powering the Fronx is Suzuki’s 1.5-litre K15C four-cylinder hybrid engine, producing 103 PS and 138 Nm of torque. Paired with a six-speed automatic and paddle shifters, it aims to deliver a smooth, efficient drive with the help of a 12V lithium-ion battery. The suspension layout is made up of MacPherson struts at the front and a torsion beam at the rear, all tuned for stability across mixed road conditions. Ventilated front discs add reassurance during spirited or long-distance driving.

The Fronx comes with a three-year or 100,000-km warranty and is priced at RM147,888 on-the-road without insurance. Early buyers can take advantage of a limited-time promotion offering either a RM4,000 rebate or a complimentary accessory package consisting of a multi-roof rack, roof basket and door visor, available until the end of 2025.

The SUV will be the main attraction at the Suzuki Lifestyle Roadshow from 19 to 23 November 2025 at the Piazza, Pavilion Bukit Jalil. Visitors can explore the new model up close, take it for a test drive and enjoy a series of brand showcases that include official accessories, pre-owned vehicles and collaborations with lifestyle names such as Ducati, GoPro, Eiger Adventure, Eyez Optometry, Polaroid Eyewear and Monster Energy. The event is set to deliver a mix of adventure, creativity and youthful energy—very much in line with Suzuki’s current direction.

The first 200 buyers will receive the ‘LeapX100’ package, which offers returns worth 100 times the booking fee through either a complimentary wallbox charger or free servicing, along with a substantial cash rebate that brings the total value of the reward to as much as RM8,000.

The B10 will be introduced locally in two variants, both built on the company’s new LEAP3.5 architecture. The SUV measures 4,515 mm long, 1,885 mm wide and 1,655 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,735 mm, and promises up to 460 km of WLTP range from a battery capacity of up to 67.1 kWh.

Sime Darby Auto ConneXion-Ford, the sole distributor of Ford vehicles in Malaysia, has launched the Ford Ranger Raptor Sport 3.0, a new addition to the Ranger Raptor family created to celebrate the model’s third anniversary in the Malaysian market. The latest variant builds on the Raptor’s performance-focused reputation with a series of enhancements in power, design, and off-road capability.

At the core of the Ranger Raptor Sport is a 3.0-litre twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 petrol engine, tuned by Ford Performance. The engine produces 397PS at 5,650 rpm and 583 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm, making it one of the most powerful pickup offerings in its class. Complementing the powertrain are FOX 2.5-inch Live Valve Internal Bypass shock absorbers, which feature race-proven Bottom-Out Control for better composure on rough terrain while maintaining comfort on the road.

The Raptor Sport rides on beadlock-style wheels that come with threaded holes to support true beadlock rings for serious off-road use. These wheels arrive with stylish “beauty rings” as standard, with owners able to purchase beadlock rings separately if they plan to run low tyre pressures for improved grip during heavy off-road activities.

Visually, the Raptor Sport introduces a new Raptor decal design and a Sport Hoop that reinforces its muscular stance. These styling cues build on the Raptor’s established identity as a performance pickup created for drivers who want capability with a strong visual presence.
