Marking five decades of one of its most iconic nameplates, Volkswagen has introduced a special commemorative model—the Polo Edition 50. Designed to celebrate the enduring legacy of the Polo, the new edition arrives with a host of exclusive features and a significantly upgraded standard equipment list.

Based on the existing Polo ‘Style’ trim level, the Edition 50 enhances both the vehicle’s exterior and interior, paying tribute to the model’s heritage with subtle yet distinctive touches. On the outside, the special edition is fitted as standard with 16-inch ‘Coventry’ alloy wheels, with an optional upgrade to 17-inch ‘Torosa’ alloys. Dark-tinted rear windows add a sportier look, while a bespoke 3D badge marked ‘50’ on the B-pillar signals the car’s commemorative status.

Inside the cabin, the unique Edition 50 elements continue. The door sill panels feature illuminated lettering, while a ‘50’ emblem is integrated into the lower steering wheel trim and also appears on the high-gloss black dashboard fascia in front of the passenger seat. These subtle design cues are complemented by an array of comfort and technology features, fitted as standard to distinguish the anniversary model from its mainstream counterparts.

Renowned for its unapologetically flamboyant designs and performance enhancements, Mansory has unveiled its latest tuning programme for the new generation hybrid BMW M5. The tuner has tackled the sedan’s dual reputation for speed and substantial weight, introducing a blend of aggressive styling, power upgrades, and subtle weight-saving measures.

Visually, the Mansory-enhanced M5 takes on a much bolder identity. A prominent carbon fibre bonnet with integrated air vents dominates the front, paired with a more pronounced splitter and modified intake trim—all fabricated from carbon fibre to reflect Mansory’s signature material of choice. The front fascia is not only more aggressive but also intentionally dramatic.

The transformation continues along the side profile. Carbon fibre details extend to the side gills, streamlined side skirts, and mirror caps. For added flair, the vehicle features Mansory’s signature fender shields, evoking a Ferrari-esque influence, contributing to a more exotic visual identity.

At the rear, the M5 is reimagined with an oversized diffuser and a centrally mounted triple tailpipe setup, proudly showcasing the upgraded sports exhaust system. Additional aerodynamic elements include a lip spoiler and a roof-mounted spoiler, both enhancing the sedan’s sporty silhouette. Even the rear reflectors have not escaped attention, now framed in carbon fibre trims that resemble ventilation outlets.

In an effort to counter the M5’s significant 2,445 kg curb weight, Mansory has introduced a set of ultra-light 22-inch forged wheels with a multi-spoke design. Although the tuner has yet to provide concrete figures on the weight reduction, the wheels are expected to offer marginal improvements in performance and handling responsiveness.

Under the bonnet, Mansory has left the M5’s electric motor untouched, opting instead to focus on extracting greater output from the 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine. The powerplant now produces a formidable 838hp and 1,150Nm of torque—an increase of 121hp and 150Nm over the standard version. These enhancements are expected to translate into notably sharper acceleration and road presence. The engine bay is completed with a carbon fibre engine cover branded with Mansory’s logo, reinforcing the tuner’s commitment to high-end detailing.

While no updates have yet been confirmed for the chassis or suspension setup, Mansory has hinted at further developments to come, suggesting future upgrades may focus on handling dynamics and ride refinement.

Inside the cabin, Mansory continues its tradition of bold interior makeovers. The reimagined cockpit features a striking black and orange leather upholstery scheme, complemented by bespoke floor mats and sportier pedal covers. The overall theme reflects the tuner’s flair for luxury combined with motorsport-inspired aesthetics.

This latest iteration of the BMW M5, reworked by Mansory, brings with it not only a sharper aesthetic and significant performance gains but also reinforces the appeal of personalised, high-performance vehicles in the electrified era. As with all Mansory creations, exclusivity and presence are guaranteed.

Here, BMW Group Malaysia recently launched the BMW M5 at the MY BMW World 2025 exhibition for RM1,188,800.

Ferrari has revealed its latest creation, the 296 Speciale in the exclusive Piloti Ferrari configuration, at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, celebrating its recent triumphs in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). This unveiling, part of the brand’s Tailor Made personalisation programme, is a tribute to client racing drivers and the marque’s victorious return to top-level endurance racing. The debut fittingly took place at the Circuit de la Sarthe, just as the legendary race prepares for another chapter in its storied history.

The Piloti Ferrari specification draws direct inspiration from the Ferrari 499P Hypercar, which secured back-to-back victories at Le Mans in 2023 and 2024. It is reserved exclusively for clients engaged in Ferrari’s official motorsport endeavours — both competitive and non-competitive — and represents the essence of those who live and breathe the racing circuit.

Stellantis is poised to announce a comprehensive recovery strategy for two of its most troubled marques, Alfa Romeo and Maserati, in the coming weeks. The plan aims to arrest declining sales and strengthen the competitiveness of the historic Italian brands through increased collaboration, though a full merger is reportedly off the table.

The strategy, which is nearing final approval, will see Alfa Romeo and Maserati seek operational “synergies” across future vehicle platforms and shared components in overlapping market segments. This collaborative approach is intended to streamline development and reduce costs, though each brand is expected to retain its distinct identity.

The move follows persistent speculation about Maserati’s future, including rumours of a potential sale—claims Stellantis executives have continued to deny. At the same time, concerns are mounting over delays to Alfa Romeo’s next-generation Stelvio SUV, a model seen as crucial to the brand’s revival.

Sales figures paint a grim picture. Alfa Romeo posted an estimated 20 per cent decline in sales last year, while Maserati suffered a more severe drop of over 50 per cent, despite launching new products. Compared to their peak years, both marques have seen sales plummet, with Alfa Romeo now selling just half the volume it achieved in 2018.

Peugeot has surged ahead in the electric hot hatch segment with the unveiling of the E-208 GTi, becoming the first manufacturer to bring a fully electric performance hatchback to market, outpacing rivals like Volkswagen, who have so far only revealed a concept. Reviving the GTi legacy in a bold new form, Peugeot’s latest creation represents the brand’s inaugural all-electric vehicle, developed by Peugeot Sport.

The E-208 GTi carries the torch from where the petrol-powered 308 GTi left off in 2020, marking a new chapter in the storied GTi lineage. While Peugeot continues to spell “GTi” with a lowercase “i,” the essence remains unmistakably performance-focused. Following the release of the hybrid 508 PSE, this electric model becomes the company’s next performance milestone.

Ford is reviving a storied nameplate with the launch of the 2025 F-150 Lobo, introducing a brawny new street truck that combines aggressive styling with familiar V8 performance. The “Lobo” designation, Spanish for “wolf”, traces its heritage back to a 1981 Bronco concept and later gained popularity as a branding choice for F-150 models in Mexico starting in 1997. For the first time, this name is making its debut in the United States market as a distinctive variant of the brand’s best-selling pickup.

Rather than being positioned as a standalone trim, the Lobo is offered as an optional appearance package for the F-150 STX. This version of the truck is available exclusively in the SuperCrew configuration and is paired with Ford’s 5.0-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine. The powerplant delivers 400hp and 555Nm of torque, maintaining the same output as the standard STX variant. Buyers seeking higher performance figures will need to consider other F-150 options, such as the 450hp EcoBoost V6 or the formidable Raptor R, which houses a supercharged 5.2-litre V8 producing an immense 720hp.

Mechanically, the F-150 Lobo adopts a four-wheel-drive system equipped with an electronically controlled, on-demand two-speed transfer case. It offers selectable drive modes, including 2H, 4A, 4H, and 4L, catering to both on-road agility and off-road capability. The truck’s practical credentials remain solid, with a payload capacity of up to 657kg and a towing capacity rated at 3,583 kg.
