The world’s best-selling electric car that is the Nissan Leaf which was previewed here in Malaysia at the end of last year is set for its official debut here in Malaysia but if you’re already in Japan, consider yourself lucky as you can already start booking for the latest and more stylish Nissan Leaf Autech.
Set to go on sale starting next month, the Nissan Leaf Autech is a customised model brought to the market by Autech Japan, Inc., which is one of Nissan’s subsidiary. So, when is the official launch date? 21 June 2019. In short, it’s a Nissan Leaf but sportier and with more exclusive styling finished with high-quality materials.
The main highlight of the Autech edition is that the electric vehicle will be offered in a variety of different colour options but we’re more interested in the Autech brand’s signature Aurora Flare Blue Pearl. This very special paint job is further highlighted with metallic specialized parts (grille, front bumper, side sill, & rear bumper), Autech 17-inch wheels and signature LED headlamps special to only Autech-brand cars.
Step inside the vehicle and you’ll quickly notice the crystal suede and soft leatherette seats with the instrument panel finished in luxury faux-rosewood grain. Dark grey was chosen as the main colour of the interior with a dash of blue pearl to enhance its look and feel meant to deliver a more stylish and youthful character into the already impressive Nissan Leaf.
The Nissan LEAF Autech is the fourth model released under the Autech brand, following the Nissan Serena, Note and X-Trail. If you want to get one of your very own, it’ll set you back from ¥3,931,200 (around RM150,616).
