New Mercedes-AMG GT63SE Performance Facelift, Same 831hp

Mercedes-AMG has unveiled an updated version of its GT63 S E Performance 4-Door Coupe, reinforcing its position as a formidable super-sedan in the European market. This refresh brings subtle design enhancements and added features, elevating an already powerful and stylish package.

Exterior Updates

The 2024 GT63 S E Performance 4-Door Coupe has received a notable front-end facelift, drawing design cues from the new AMG GT Coupe. The lower grille opening is now broader and narrower, with redesigned outboard intakes sporting sporty vertical slits. Multibeam LED headlights frame the grille, now taller and adorned with additional black trim along the bottom, enhancing its aggressive stance.

Interior Enhancements

While the interior changes are minor, Mercedes has made notable upgrades. The electric sunroof and wireless charging pad between the rear seats are now standard features. The MBUX infotainment software has been updated with AMG-specific displays that can be individually configured for personalized functions. Additionally, the Burmester Surround Sound System is now a standard inclusion, with an optional Burmester High-End 3D Surround Sound System available for audiophiles.

Performance and Powertrain

Under the hood, the GT63 S E Performance retains its potent twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 plug-in hybrid powertrain, producing an impressive 831hp and 1,400Nm of torque. This power is seamlessly transmitted via the AMG Speedshift MCT 9G nine-speed transmission and the AMG Performance 4Matic+ all-wheel drive system.

The GT63 S E Performance can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 2.9 seconds and boasts a top speed of 316km/h. It offers exceptional control and performance, thanks to features like AMG high-performance ceramic composite brakes, active rear-axle steering, and AMG Ride Control+ suspension with adaptive damping.

Pricing and Options

For the refreshed model, a new exterior colour option, Opalite White Metallic, has been introduced. The pricing for the updated Mercedes-AMG GT63 S E Performance 4-Door Coupe starts at 207,708.55 euros (RM1,034,060) in Germany.

Buyers have a range of customisation options, including AMG Performance seats, the AMG Aerodynamics package, two AMG Night packages, the AMG Carbon package, and the AMG Chrome package. Additional options such as the Active Multicontour Seat package and Manufaktur Selenite Grey Magno paint are also available.

Closer to home, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia unveiled the pre-facelift Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance back in May of this year which will cost you RM2,088,888.00.
