R&B Racing Triumphs in the 2024 Motul 12 Hours of Sepang

R&B Racing has once again asserted their dominance in endurance racing, emerging victorious in the 2024 Motul 12 Hours of Sepang. The Chinese team, known for their previous triumph in the inaugural Shanghai 8 Hours in 2023, showcased unparalleled skill and determination on the track.

Despite facing initial setbacks that saw them drop down the order, the #44 R&B Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R crew, comprising Yuan Bo, Lu Wei, and Ye Honghi, staged an impressive comeback in the GT3 Am class. Holding onto the lead for the remainder of the race, they not only secured the class victory but also clinched the overall win, solidifying their status as formidable contenders.

In the GT3 Am category, the #71 Prime Speed Sport Aston Martin Vantage GT3 EVO II and the #777 Climax Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II secured second and third place, respectively, showcasing intense competition throughout the field.

Meanwhile, in the GT3 class, the #911 Absolute Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R claimed victory, finishing first in class and second overall. They were closely followed by the #26 B-Quik Absolute Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II in second place and the #31 Phantom Global Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II in third, highlighting the fierce battle for supremacy among top-tier competitors.

In the GTC class, the #710 D1 Racing Team Lamborghini Super Trofeo EVO2 overcame initial setbacks to secure a well-deserved first place, demonstrating resilience and skill on the track. Additionally, the #326 Racing Team Audi RS3 LMS TCR emerged victorious in the TCR Endurance Asia category, further adding to the excitement of the event.

The Motul 12 Hours of Sepang featured a diverse field of teams from the Asia Pacific region, showcasing a mix of seasoned professionals, amateur drivers, and rising stars. With the success of this event, anticipation builds for the upcoming second Shanghai 8 Hours, scheduled to take place from 4th to 6th October at the Shanghai International Circuit, promising more thrilling action and fierce competition on the track.
