Introducing the Mercedes-AMG GT63 S E Performance: A Hybrid Powerhouse

For enthusiasts craving the ultimate blend of performance and luxury in a sleek two-door coupe, the wait is over. Mercedes-AMG introduces the GT63 S E Performance, a flagship model that promises exhilarating performance and cutting-edge hybrid technology.

At the heart of this powerhouse lies a potent combination of a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V-8 engine at the front and an electric motor at the rear, delivering a staggering 805hp and 1419Nm of torque. The result? A blistering 0-100km/h acceleration time of just 2.7 seconds, making it the fastest-accelerating AMG production model to date.

Despite its plug-in hybrid designation, efficiency takes a back seat to performance. With a modest 6.1 kWh battery capacity, the focus is on maximising power delivery rather than the electric-only range. Charging options include plug-in capability and selectable recuperation settings, offering a seamless driving experience akin to an EV.

Power is harnessed through a nine-speed dual-clutch transmission and Mercedes-AMG’s 4Matic+ all-wheel-drive system, ensuring exceptional traction and control. Rear-axle steering, AMG Active Ride Control suspension, and carbon ceramic brakes further enhance the GT63 S E Performance’s dynamic capabilities.

Visually, the E Performance variant retains the understated elegance of the standard AMG GT63, with subtle badging and a discreet charging port hinting at its electrified nature. Beneath the surface, however, the active aero system has been fine-tuned to optimise performance for the hybrid powertrain.

Inside the 2+2 cockpit, occupants are treated to the signature Mercedes-AMG blend of luxury and technology, providing a refined and comfortable environment for spirited driving. The cockpit design, right down to the portrait format display in the centre console is focused on the driver.

Pricing details for the 2025 Mercedes-AMG GT63 S E Performance will be announced closer to its late 2024 on-sale date, offering enthusiasts the opportunity to experience the pinnacle of hybrid performance firsthand.
