According to Harian Metro, during the operation, JPJ officers issued 116 summonses to individuals from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Indonesia, and the Rohingya ethnic group.

Range of Offences
In a statement released today, the Penang JPJ confirmed that the seized vehicles comprised 14 motorcycles, two cars, and a van. Some vehicles were also found to be using registration numbers that did not match their official documentation.
The most common offences included:
- Driving without a valid license,
- Operating vehicles with expired Motor Vehicle Licenses (LKM), and

Focus on Compliance
The operation was part of a broader effort by the JPJ to monitor, detect, and enforce compliance with the Road Transport Act 1987 (Act 333) and associated regulations. The initiative specifically targets violations by foreign nationals, ensuring stricter adherence to Malaysian road laws.
The department reiterated its commitment to upholding road safety and ensuring that all drivers, regardless of nationality, comply with the legal requirements for operating vehicles in the country.
