Ferrari Unveils One-Off Daytona SP3 Tailor Made

Ferrari is set to captivate enthusiasts and collectors once again with the unveiling of a bespoke Ferrari Daytona SP3 Tailor Made, a singular creation that will be auctioned by RM Sotheby’s during Monterey Car Week in California, August 2025. This extraordinary model, bearing chassis number 599+1, joins the exclusive and fully sold-out lineup of 599 Daytona SP3 units as a unique addition crafted not for private commission but to support a philanthropic cause.

The Daytona SP3 Tailor Made is more than just a showcase of Ferrari’s uncompromising approach to innovation and craftsmanship—it stands as a symbol of the marque’s dedication to social responsibility. Proceeds from the sale will be channelled into Ferrari’s educational initiatives under the banner of The Ferrari Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) charity. Among its most recent efforts is a collaboration with Save the Children, which saw Ferrari contribute to rebuilding the Aveson Charter School in Altadena, California, following its destruction in the Eaton Wildfire.

This one-off Daytona SP3 has been designed to encapsulate the spirit of Ferrari’s racing history while pushing the boundaries of contemporary automotive design. The exterior is finished in a dramatic two-tone carbon-fibre scheme, paired with a bold Giallo Modena body. A gloss black finish on the front splitter, sills, and rear diffuser accentuates the visual intensity, while the expansive application of the Ferrari script across the upper body represents a first in Ferrari livery design.

Inside, the cabin continues the theme of sustainable innovation and racing DNA. The upholstery is made from a pioneering fabric derived from recycled tyres, marked with a bespoke Prancing Horse motif. Key interior elements, such as the dashboard and steering column, feature the same advanced carbon fibre used in Formula 1, reinforcing the car’s motorsport lineage.

Beneath its sculpted bodywork lies the heart of a true icon: a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine. Delivering 828hp at 9,250 rpm and 697 Nm of torque at 7,250 rpm, this powerhouse propels the Daytona SP3 from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.85 seconds and to 200 km/h in 7.4 seconds. With a top speed exceeding 340 km/h, the Daytona SP3 stands at the pinnacle of Ferrari’s performance capabilities. Power is transferred through a seven-speed F1 dual-clutch gearbox, ensuring instant gear changes and unrelenting momentum.

The Daytona SP3, launched as part of Ferrari’s prestigious Icona series, pays homage to the marque’s legendary V12 sports prototypes of the 1960s. Specifically, it recalls the golden era of Ferrari’s motorsport triumphs, including the historic 1-2-3 finish at the 1967 Daytona 24 Hours. First introduced in 2021, the Daytona SP3 represents the second model in the Icona series, which began with the Monza SP1 and SP2. These limited-run vehicles reinterpret design languages of past icons through the lens of cutting-edge technology and materials.

The Icona concept is not simply about reviving retro design. Instead, it aims to capture the essence of a bygone era—its emotion, spirit, and style—and reimagine it in a modern form that is worthy of becoming an icon in its own right. As such, the Daytona SP3 and its predecessors are reserved for Ferrari’s most dedicated clients and collectors, positioning them as living legacies of the Prancing Horse.

As anticipation builds ahead of its Monterey debut, the Daytona SP3 Tailor Made is set to draw attention not only for its rarity and design excellence, but also for its meaningful role in furthering global education. Ferrari’s vision for this one-of-a-kind creation extends beyond the racetrack or showroom—reaffirming its belief in using excellence as a force for good.
