Audi’s upcoming concept car, set for its public unveiling next week in Milan and at the Munich Motor Show, has surfaced online ahead of schedule after a leak revealed the model in full. The image, which briefly appeared as the cover photo on Audi Canada’s official Facebook page before being removed, was swiftly reposted on Instagram by automotive insider Wilco Blok, giving enthusiasts an early look at the coupe.
The still-unnamed concept adopts a sharp, blocky silhouette complemented by slim lighting elements at both ends. Its narrow headlights carry a resemblance to those on the E5 from Audi’s Chinese-market sub-brand, while the rear incorporates thin tail-lights and, uniquely, louvres in place of a conventional windscreen – a detail teased in a video released by Audi over the weekend.
The brand has been promoting the upcoming car under the slogan “Strive for clarity”, referencing some of its design icons including the original TT, the 1991 Avus Quattro concept, and the legendary Auto Union Type C and D Grand Prix racers of the 1930s. These nods to heritage appear intended to highlight the philosophy behind Audi’s next era of design, which will debut with this concept.

Importantly, the model represents the first publicly revealed work overseen by Massimo Frascella, Audi’s new design chief who joined in early 2024 following more than a decade at Jaguar Land Rover. His vision is understood to focus on refinement and forward-thinking clarity rather than retro-inspired styling.
Audi’s top management has also confirmed that the concept is not a design study without substance. Chief executive Gernot Döllner explained earlier this year that every concept shown by the brand will have a direct product decision behind it, reinforcing speculation that this coupe is headed for production in some form.
The forthcoming sports car is believed to be developed on the same platform as Porsche’s upcoming electric-only 718, creating further anticipation about its positioning. While final details remain under wraps, Audi has indicated the car will sit between the now-discontinued TT and R8 in terms of character and market segment, effectively filling the void left by the two icons while pointing towards an all-electric future.
With its striking proportions, innovative rear design and the promise of a new chapter in Audi styling, the leaked coupe sets high expectations ahead of its official debut. Next week’s unveiling will provide clarity not only on the design direction but also on Audi’s ambitions in the electric sports car arena.
