Updated Volvo XC90 SUV launched – From RM373,888

Volvo Car Malaysia has announced that their best-selling Volvo XC90 SUV now comes in an updated version for the Malaysian market and those who are interested can start viewing in from this month onwards. Labelled as the brands top-of-the-line flagship model, the XC90 marks the company’s next step into electrification.

The original XC90 design which was already an award winner will now be offered with subtle upgrades to further amplify the overall ownership experience. The exterior updates come in the form of new wheels, exterior colour options, and a new modern front grille.

As for the T8 variants, the internal battery capacity has been upgraded from 10.4kW to 11kWh which helps to extend its pure electric driving range by up to 50km. The T8 also comes with a redesigned Orrefors crystal electronic gearshift lever. Talk about fancy.

For those who are interested in the T5 model, VCM has included a set of third-row air conditioning c-pillar vents for extra passenger comfort. For the driver, the enhanced XC90 is fitted with road sign information system (RSI) and a four-zone electronic climate control with cooled glove box capability (previously only available for the T8).

Other notable features include:

  • Thor’s Hammer headlights
  • Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) platform
  • City Safety steering with Autobrake
  • Blind Spot Information System
  • Oncoming Lane Mitigation
  • Cross Traffic Alert

The refreshed Volvo XC90 is priced from RM373,888 (OTR without insurance). Customers can now choose between five tantalising colour options; Crystal White Pearl, Denim Blue Metallic, Onyx Black Metallic, Pebble Grey Metallic, and Thunder Grey Metallic.
