Limited Edition Kia EV6 Makes Official Debut

Kia has unveiled a special limited edition variant of the EV6, designed to celebrate the model’s achievement of being named the North American Utility Vehicle of the Year.

A total of 1000 units are set to be manufactured exclusively for the U.S. market,. This unique edition features a captivating paint colour named deep forest green, a hue specifically reserved for this commemorative model. The striking green shade creates a beautiful contrast when paired with the desert beige leather interior.

The feature lineup borrowed from the EV6 GT-Line encompasses various elements such as 20-inch alloy wheels, a sunroof, and fascia trim from the EV6’s Wind trim level. Also included is the Augmented Reality Head-Up Display, the Surround View Monitor (SVM), and the Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM). Additionally, this version boasts a heated, flat-bottom steering wheel and rear seats for added comfort. The advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) encompass the Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) and Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA 2). FCA intervenes to assist the driver by applying the brakes when necessary to prevent a collision or minimise the impact in specific conditions, provided a vehicle is detected ahead. It utilises automatic braking to avert or mitigate a collision.

HDA 2, on the other hand, functions as a convenience feature for driving. It maintains a predetermined distance from a car detected in front, centring the car in its lane. Moreover, in certain situations, it can aid in executing lane changes and adjusting the lateral position of the car within the recognised lane markers.

The EV6 package retains several notable attributes, including its compatibility with ultra-fast DC charging, the option for an onboard power generator and an interior with a flat-floor design that incorporates cutting-edge materials throughout the cabin. Additionally, the car offers an array of connectivity features and incorporates Kia’s latest-generation heat pump. This heat pump is designed to recover and utilise waste heat from the car’s coolant system, contributing to enhanced efficiency.

Every iteration of the EV6 limited edition will come equipped with the same powertrain configuration: a dual-motor all-wheel drive setup producing 320hp. These models will also utilise the 77.4-kWh battery pack. While Kia has yet to disclose the pricing details, they have assured that more comprehensive information will be made accessible prior to the launch of the limited edition, which is scheduled to take place later this year.
