Volkswagen Replaces The “I” In GTI With A Lightning Bolt

Volkswagen values the GTI name highly, thus it looks like that the acronym’s meaning will need to change as a result of the new emblem seen above. As is already public knowledge, Volkswagen plans to convert its entire line-up to fully electric models soon. Currently, GTI refers to “Grand Touring Injection,” with the final component clearly referencing fuel injection. As such, that name may have to change, or does it?

However, Volkswagen will update the GTI emblem, adding a lightning bolt in place of the last letter. No, it does not mean “The Flash”, it simply means that the GTI moniker will live on in this new electric era. Does this mean that the GTX designation that high-performance VW EVs now carry may be dropped?

KKR To Launch Campaign On Road Infrastructure Safety

Under the Madani framework, the Works Ministry (KKR) will start a nationwide campaign focusing on road infrastructure safety and accompanying equipment, such as lamps and signage.

The programme will also include attempts to address additional problems with road equipment in addition to the primary problem of damaged or pothole-filled roads.

In Malaysia, the issue of potholed roads, infrastructural issues, issues with lamps, and issues with signs are nothing new. Nanta Linggi, the works minister, stated that road users routinely raise this issue to the media and on social media. This is one of the things he has been underlining to everyone in the ministry ever since he set foot in the KKR.

In order to track potholes on federal roads in Peninsular Malaysia using an app for smartphones, tablets, and desktop computers, JKR also developed a pothole monitoring application system (ASaPP) in 2021. Any complaints regarding pothole repairs will be recorded in the ASaPP system, which is accessible to all parties concerned, and any discovered potholes will be promptly repaired and reported there.

Maserati Project24 Now Has An Official Name: MCXtrema

When it was first unveiled as a project back in 2022, Maserati named it the Project24. Now, as a remembrance of the Maserati MC20, the Project24 gets the name MCXtrema.

It first appeared as a set of drawings showing a significantly altered MC20 with additional wings and scoops. Maserati had stated that Project24’s 3.0-litre V6 will get new turbochargers, but it recently came to light that the engine currently makes 730hp without any kind of road-legalisation.

Porsche 911 S/T: A 60th Anniversary Limited Model For Purists!

Porsche has created a sports car dedicated to purists to commemorate the special anniversary of the classic 911 sports car: The 911 S/T.

The moniker distinguishes the new 911 S/T as the offspring of a first-generation 911 model that was especially performance-focused. Porsche began offering a unique race-specific 911 S in 1969. These vehicles were referred to as 911 ST internally. Acceleration, braking, traction, and cornering grip were all greatly enhanced by changes to the chassis, wheels, engine, and body. These versions did not yet make use of large spoilers or other aerodynamic aids.

All-New Toyota Land Cruiser 250 Makes World Debut

The new Land Cruiser “250” Series has officially been presented to the world by Toyota Motor Corporation.

The Land Cruiser series, which debuted as the Toyota BJ on August 1, 1951, is now 72 years old. It was the first vehicle to reach Mount Fuji’s sixth station immediately after launch. Since then, it has succeeded in bringing protection and security to a variety of individuals in locations that can only be accessible by a Land Cruiser.

Tesla Malaysia Introduces Home Charging Program

Tesla recently unveiled the all-electric SUV Model Y in Malaysia, and the company is now taking additional measures to improve the ownership experience for all Tesla owners in the nation.

The most recent iteration of the Tesla Home Charging Programme has begun, according to Tesla. Customers will receive a free Tesla Wall Connector for installation at a specified home location when they buy a new Tesla vehicle from tesla.com by October 31, 2023.

BMW Malaysia Introduces Two New Variants Of The i4 eDrive35 – RM255,216!

BMW Malaysia has announced that the New BMW i4 eDrive35 will be available in two new variations: the BMW i4 eDrive35 and the BMW i4 eDrive35 M Sport and joins the first-ever BMW i4 M50, which was unveiled at the Malaysia Autoshow 2023 earlier this year.

The new BMW i4 eDrive35 has a four-door Gran Coupé body style, an innovative design, and improved aerodynamics. Both versions have a sharp and recognisable look that emphasises the kidney grille design with horizontal slates from the front. The modern LED headlights further emphasise this.

2024 Nissan Z NISMO Debuts; No Manual Transmission, 420hp

Nissan has previously released a 45-second teaser video of the jacked-up Z burning quite a bit of rubber. Now, Nissan has given us the full reveal of the 2024 Nissan Z NISMO.

The NISMO makeover is concentrated on improvements to the track-driving experience, both mechanically and cosmetically. This represents a slight improvement over the Nissan Z Performance model.

V8 To Power The Ford Mustang For As Long As Possible

The Ford Mustang’s V8 engine is a crucial component of its character, and the business has no plans to replace it with batteries and an electric motor anytime soon.

Ford has vowed to continue selling the Mustang with an internal combustion engine and has no intention of discontinuing the model’s drivetrain. Unlike competitors Chevrolet and Dodge, whose current Mustang rivals are being killed off, with the former’s Camaro coupe and the latter’s Challenger coupe and Charger sedan due to cease production in 2024.

Alfa Romeo Teases Vintage Steering Wheel For New Supercar

A final thoroughbred supercar will be delivered, according to Alfa Romeo CEO Jean-Philippe Imparato, before the renowned Italian carmaker switches to an all-electric production line. The forthcoming Alfa Romeo supercar said to be called “33” or “6C,” will make its world premiere on August 30. But for now we can only imagine what the interior might look like, given the teased steering wheel.

The company released a photo of the steering wheel on its instagram account. And as is customary with these teaser pictures, not much is shown, and what is shown is intentionally difficult to make out.
