A teaser for Volvo’s first fully electric MPV, the EM90, has been released ahead of its official debut on November 12, 2023, in China.
There are currently few details available about the EM90, but Volvo claims it offers a mobile Scandinavian living room experience intended to maximize time spent in the car. The EM90 provides a space that perfectly fits into your lifestyle, according to the firm, emphasizing that it is more than just a mode of transportation.
The latest iteration of the 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQB has made its debut, featuring a handful of minor enhancements. This compact electric SUV was initially introduced for the 2022 model year, making it noteworthy that Mercedes has swiftly implemented updates to improve upon its existing offering.
In terms of aesthetics, the EQB receives notable updates in the form of a fresh grille and front bumper design. Departing from the conventional three-radiator setup of its predecessors, the latest 911 GT3 RS implements a sizeable, angled centre radiator situated in the front of the vehicle, occupying the space typically designated for luggage in other 911 models. Aerodynamics
Speaking of aerodynamics, the new 911 GT3 RS showcases numerous functional aerodynamic components in its design. A notable highlight is the swan-neck-mounted rear wing, larger than before, consisting of a fixed main part and an adjustable upper element. Notably, the wing’s upper edge surpasses the car’s roof height for the first time in Porsche’s production vehicles. The car’s front no longer includes a traditional front spoiler, replaced by a dividing front splitter that manages airflow over and under the vehicle. Sideblades efficiently direct air outward, while front wheel arches are ventilated through louvered openings in the front wings.
Sime Darby Bhd has signed a deal to buy Permodalan Nasional Bhd’s (PNB) 61.2% stake in UMW Holdings Bhd for RM3.57 billion in cash, or RM5 per share. Once the deal is confirmed, Sime Darby plans to make a general offer for the remaining 38.8% stake to delist UMW from the stock exchange. This move will strengthen Sime Darby’s position as a major player in Malaysia’s automotive sector, including the addition of Toyota and Perodua brands to its portfolio.
Sime Darby’s CEO, Datuk Jeffri Salim Davidson, highlighted the positive impact of the acquisition on earnings per share and shareholder returns. The acquisition is expected to be completed within three months, subject to regulatory and shareholder approvals.
As a result of the acquisition, Sime Darby will own a 38% stake in Perodua and a 51% equity interest in UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd. PNB, the state investment firm, will still hold a 10% stake in the national carmaker and is the largest shareholder in Sime Darby with a 41.56% stake.

The one-year deadline for auto repair workshops to display mechanic names and certifications has passed. Authorities will now take action against those who didn’t follow this rule. The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living’s director-general, Datuk Azman Adam, stated that workshops had sufficient time to comply.
According to The Star, under the Consumer Protection Act 1999 (Act 599), companies could be fined RM100,000, and individuals could face a fine of RM50,000 or a three-year jail term for non-compliance. Workshops checked by the ministry’s enforcement unit will be reminded to follow the rule, with ongoing monitoring. Failure to comply will result in penalties.
