The event highlights GWM’s dedication to redefining the automotive landscape through innovation, luxury, and sustainability. Among the spotlight attractions were the exclusive previews of the GWM Tank 500 and GWM Wey 80, two groundbreaking models aimed at setting new benchmarks in their respective segments.

GWM Tank 500: A Blend of Off-Road Prowess and Luxury

The GWM Tank 500 takes the off-road SUV segment to the next level, building on the success of the Tank 300. Its bold design and powerful capabilities position it as a game-changer for adventure seekers and urban drivers alike. Measuring 5078mm in length, 1934mm in width, and 1905mm in height, with a 2850mm wheelbase, the Tank 500 commands attention.

Under the hood, a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder hybrid engine paired with a 9-speed hybrid automatic transmission delivers an impressive 342PS and 648Nm of torque. Off-road enthusiasts will appreciate advanced features like 11 driving modes, Tank Turn for agility in tight spaces, and Off-road Cruise Control to navigate challenging terrains effortlessly. Scheduled to make its Malaysian market debut in 2025, the Tank 500 promises versatility and sophistication for all types of drivers.

GWM Tank 500 dan Wey 80 Dipamerkan di KLIMS 2024

Great Wall Motor (GWM) Malaysia telah mengumumkan aspirasi besar untuk pasaran tempatan di Pameran Mobiliti Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur (KLIMS) 2024, yang berlangsung dari 5 hingga 11 Disember di MITEC. Fokus utama adalah mempamerkan dedikasi GWM terhadap kemewahan, inovasi, dan kemampanan, dengan pameran eksklusif GWM Tank 500 dan GWM Wey 80, dua model ikonik yang menjanjikan perubahan besar dalam segmen SUV dan MPV.

GWM Tank 500

GWM Tank 500 memperkenalkan standard baharu untuk SUV luar jalan, membina reputasi yang dicipta oleh Tank 300. Model ini direka untuk menawan hati pengembara dan pemandu urban dengan gabungan reka bentuk berani dan prestasi luar biasa.

GWM Malaysia Mendapat 1,500 Tempahan untuk Haval H6 HEV

Dalam tempoh kurang sebulan sejak pelancarannya, Great Wall Motor (GWM) Malaysia telah berjaya melengkapkan penghantaran sebanyak 200 unit model pemasangan tempatan (CKD) pertama, GWM Haval H6 HEV ke seluruh negara. SUV hibrid ini juga telah mencatat jumlah tempahan melebihi 1,500 unit. Rekod jualan yang mengagumkan ini bukan sahaja membuktikan permintaan yang kukuh untuk pasaran Malaysia, malah mencerminkan komitmen unggul GWM dalam memperluaskan pasaran dan menawarkan rangkaian kenderaan yang berkualiti tinggi serta mampu milik untuk pasaran tempatan. 

GWM berpegang teguh pada strategi perniagaan jangka panjang ‘long-termism’ yang menjadi pemangkin untuk jangkauan dan jualan di peringkat global. Strategi ini berasaskan empat tonggak utama globalisasi iaitu ‘Locally Built’, ‘Locally Operated’, ‘Locally Cultivated ’dan ‘Supply Chain Integrated’. Dengan variasi produk yang memenuhi citarasa pengguna di seluruh dunia, GWM berjaya mencatat jualan global sebanyak 122,700 unit, menandakan peningkatan tahunan yang mengagumkan sebanyak 39.85%.

GWM Malaysia Secures 1,500 Bookings for the Haval H6 HEV

Just weeks after its recent launch, Great Wall Motor (GWM) Malaysia has completed 200 nationwide deliveries of the GWM Haval H6 HEV, its first locally assembled Completely Knocked Down (CKD) model. With over 1,500 bookings already secured, the hybrid SUV has seen strong demand, underscoring GWM’s strategic expansion in Malaysia by offering affordable, high-quality vehicles.

GWM’s commitment to growth is grounded in four globalization pillars: “Locally Built, Locally Operated, Locally Cultivated, and Supply Chain Integrated.” This approach has contributed to its impressive global presence, including a year-on-year overseas sales increase of 39.85% with 122,700 units sold. By Q3 2024, cumulative global sales for GWM Haval surpassed 9 million, while the GWM Tank model reached over 500,000.

GWM Haval H6 Hybrid Officially Launched in Malaysia for RM139,800

When Great Wall Motor (GWM) entered the Malaysian market in 2022, one of their key announcements was the introduction of the Haval H6 Hybrid. Finally, the Haval H6 Hybrid has been officially launched in Malaysia.

This mid-sized SUV is positioned to compete against models like the Proton X70, Mazda CX-5, and Honda CR-V, thanks to its impressive dimensions and hybrid powertrain. Measuring 4,683mm in length, 1,886mm in width, and 1,730mm in height, the Haval H6 provides a spacious and modern SUV option for Malaysian consumers.

The Haval H6 Hybrid is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged inline-four petrol engine paired with an electric motor, which together produces a total output of 240hp and 530Nm of torque. This power is managed by a two-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT), which ensures a smooth and efficient driving experience.

It features 19-inch wheels and 225/55 tyres. In addition to its enhanced wheels, it comes equipped with premium features such as a panoramic sunroof and one-colour ambient lighting, elevating the driving and passenger experience.

The H6 offers offer advanced technology with a 12.3-inch touchscreen display that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, making it easy to stay connected on the go. The driver also benefits from a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster for clear vehicle information. For extra comfort, the front seats in both versions are power-adjustable and ventilated, making long drives more pleasant.


Given Malaysia’s tropical climate, the Haval H6 features dual-zone automatic air conditioning, along with rear air conditioning vents, a CN95 filter, and an air quality management system (AQS) to ensure clean and cool air inside the cabin.

Safety is also a top priority, with the H6 boasting six airbags, child safety locks, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and a range of advanced safety features such as Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Traction Control (TCS), Secondary Collision Mitigation (SCM), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Rollover Mitigation (RMI), Hill Descent Control (HDC), and Hill Assist Control (HAC). The inclusion of a USB power interface for a dashcam adds convenience and safety for drivers.

The Haval H6 Hybrid combines performance, comfort, and safety, making it a competitive option in the Malaysian SUV market, especially for those looking for a well-rounded hybrid vehicle.

This C-segment SUV is priced at RM139,800 and comes with a few special offers such as the early bird offer that has a RM3,000 rebate when you book by 20th October 2024.

The launch offer has 5 years of  free maintenance for owners who registered their GWM Haval H6 HEV in 2024. Besides that, GWM owners loyalty offers additional RM3,000 rebate for existing GWM vehicle owners.

As for the warranties, there is a 10 year/1,000,000km engine warranty, an 8 year/1,000,000km HEV system warranty and a 7 year/200,000km full vehicle warranty.

The Haval H6 HEV, set for an official launch in October, is the fourth model from GWM Malaysia, following the Ora Good Cat, Ora 07, and GWM Tank 300. This launch also marks GWM’s first locally assembled model in Malaysia, reflecting its commitment to expanding its global presence and promoting environmentally friendly mobility.

Review: The Haval H6 Hybrid Is A Nice Balance Of Power & Efficiency

“What do you think of Haval? The cars are quite cheap, and I am thinking of buying my mother one,” said the Managing Director of one of the companies I used to work for over a decade ago.

“It has everything she needs in a car, and it is quite well priced, it makes more sense than a Proton,” he continued.

This conversation took place back in the early 2010s, a time when barely anyone was talking about cars from China. And the companies that did import them only did so half-heartedly, with little in the form of aftersales support.

Fast forward a little more than a decade and the global automotive landscape is an entirely different one. (more…)
