Proton Sales Grow By 13.6% In October

Proton achieved notable success in October 2024, with total sales of 12,799 units, reflecting a 13.6% increase from September. This brings the year-to-date (YTD) total to 125,557 units, reinforcing the brand’s goal of securing a sixth consecutive year of growth. With a projected market share of 18.1% for October and a YTD share of 18.9%, Proton stands firmly as Malaysia’s second most popular automotive brand.

The automotive industry as a whole rebounded in October, with estimated total industry volume (TIV) reaching 70,668 units, marking the fifth time this year that monthly sales have exceeded 70,000 units.

Key Model Highlights

Proton Saga: Delivering 6,112 units in October, this model’s YTD sales reached 60,178 units, securing its spot as the third highest-selling vehicle in Malaysia. Proton aims for the Saga to surpass 70,000 units by year-end.

Proton X50: Leading the B-segment SUV market, the X50 maintained its popularity with 2,122 units sold in October, showcasing a blend of style, performance, and advanced features.

Proton Bersiap untuk Sepang 1000KM dengan Kereta Lumba S70 R3 Baharu dan Dua Pemandu Muda

Proton telah melancarkan kereta lumba S70 R3 terbarunya untuk perlumbaan ketahanan 1000KM Sepang (S1K) 2024 yang akan datang, diadakan di Litar Antarabangsa Petronas Sepang. Menambah warna kepada dunia perlumbaan tempatan, Proton akan menyertai dengan dua buah kereta, masing-masing dipandu oleh pasangan pemandu berpengalaman.

Barisan Pemandu:

Kereta #81: Dipandu oleh Syafiq Ali, juara S1K tiga kali, bersama Fahrizal Hasan, yang terkenal dengan rekod kemenangan dalam perlumbaan ketahanan 12 Jam Sepang.
Kereta #82: Menampilkan dua bintang baru yang sedang meningkat, Ariff Azmi, juara karting dan perlumbaan jelajah berusia 18 tahun, serta Alister Yoong, pelumba Formula 4 berusia 21 tahun dan anak bekas pemandu F1, Alex Yoong.

Proton Gears Up for Sepang 1000KM with New S70 R3 Race Car and Star Drivers

Proton has unveiled its new S70 R3 race car for the upcoming 2024 Sepang 1000KM (S1K) endurance race, hosted at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit. This addition to Proton’s racing portfolio will compete with two cars, each driven by a pair of seasoned and promising drivers.

Driver Line-up

Car #81: Piloted by Syafiq Ali, a three-time S1K winner, and Fahrizal Hasan, known for his multiple victories in the Sepang 12 Hours endurance race.
Car #82: Driven by two emerging talents, Ariff Azmi, an 18-year-old karting and touring car champion, and Alister Yoong, a 21-year-old Formula 4 racer and son of former F1 driver Alex Yoong.

Proton Bekerjasama Dengan Grab Malaysia Untuk Meningkatkan Akses Kenderaan E-Hailing

Proton telah menandatangani Memorandum Perjanjian (MoA) dengan Grab Malaysia untuk mengembangkan pilihan kenderaan bagi pemandu e-hailing, dengan menawarkan faedah eksklusif apabila mereka membeli Proton Saga. Dengan menggabungkan komitmen Proton terhadap kenderaan berkualiti dengan platform Grab yang menyeluruh, kerjasama ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengalaman pemanduan dan menyokong keperluan yang semakin meningkat dalam industri e hailing. Inisiatif ini diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat kepada pemandu, pengguna dan juga memperkukuhkan kedudukan kedua-dua syarikat dalam pasaran.

Memorandum Persatuan (MoA) itu telah ditandatangan oleh Roslan Abdullah, Timbalan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif, Proton Rashid Shukor, Pengarah Operasi dan Mobiliti Negara telah menandatangani untuk Grab Malaysia ialah. Turut hadir adalah Edmund Lim Meng Tong, Naib Presiden Jualan & Selepas Jualan, Proton Edar, dan Tan Jiong Jian, Pengarah Komersial dan Penghantaran, Grab Malaysia, yang bertindak sebagai saksi untuk majlis tandatangan tersebut.

Proton Collaborates With Grab Malaysia To Enhance E-Hailing Vehicle Access

Proton has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Grab Malaysia to support the e-hailing industry by providing exclusive benefits for drivers who choose the Proton Saga. This partnership is aimed at making vehicle ownership more attractive for Grab driver-partners, with perks that include cash rebates and a 5% service discount, valid for two years or up to 40,000 km. The MoA was signed by Roslan Abdullah, Deputy CEO of Proton, and Rashid Shukor, Director of Country Operations and Mobility at Grab Malaysia.

Through this agreement, Proton strengthens its role in the e-hailing sector by offering the Proton Saga, a car that appeals to drivers due to its affordability and reliability. The Proton Saga, Malaysia’s best-selling car with over 2 million units sold, has long been valued for its durability and safety features like ABS, electronic brake distribution, parking sensors, traction control, and a touch screen infotainment system.

Tempahan Proton e.MAS 7 Kini Rasmi Dibuka

Berlangsung Auto Car Expo (ACE) 2024, PRO-NET, anak syarikat Proton, mendedahkan ruang dalaman Proton e.MAS 7 serta membuka tempahan untuk kenderaan elektrik nasional pertama Malaysia. Pembukaan yang penting ini berlangsung di Pusat Konvensyen Setia City. Proton e.MAS 7 Order Book Officially Opens

At the Auto Car Expo (ACE) 2024, PRO-NET, a subsidiary of Proton, is excited to unveil the interior of the Proton e.MAS 7 and open bookings for Malaysia’s first national electric vehicle. This significant reveal takes place at the Setia City Convention Centre. This follows the successful first-half of the ongoing e.MAS 7 tour which has clocked well over 3,200km up till today.

Review: Proton’s Finest Sedan – Proton S70 is a C-Segment Package for B-Segment Price!

In case you didn’t know, cars are categorised into various segments based on their sizes. The list of segments begins with the A-segment which comprises the smallest cars in the market such as the Perodua Axia, Proton Saga, Perodua Bezza, and the Hyundai i10 just to name a few.

Moving up the ladder, we have the B-segment which comprises models like the Honda City, Toyota Vios, and the MG5, followed by the C-segment which the Proton S70 here is a part of, alongside models like the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla Altis, and the Mazda3.

If we keep going, there’s the D-segment with mid-sized executive sedans like the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry, the E-segment with cars like the Mercedes-Benz E Class, limousines such as the BMW 7-Series, sports cars, MPVs, and SUVs.

While most of these models compete with each other in the same segment, there are a few special models such as the Proton S70 here which also compete with cars in other segments.

Prestasi dan Kecanggihan Jelajah Proton e.MAS 7 Menawan Semenanjung Malaysia

Kenderaan elektrik pertama Proton, e.MAS 7, telah menempuhi jarak yang sangat mengagumkan iaitu sejauh 1,147km melalui negeri-negeri di Pantai Timur Malaysia dalam fasa ketiga Jelajah Proton e.MAS 7 ini. Jarak perjalanan ke selatan sejauh 894km dan ke utara sejauh 1,183km telah berjaya ditempuh dengan jumlah keseluruhan jarak yang dicatatkan dalam pengembaraan EV pertama ini melebihi 3,200km.

Pengembaraan kenderaan elektrik dari PRO-NET, anak syarikat Proton, telah membawa EV pertama ini dengan lebih dekat kepada rakyat Malaysia. Ia juga merupakan sebahagian daripada fasa ujian dalam memastikan Proton e.MAS 7 berfungsi dengan sempurna dalam pasaran Malaysia. Jurutera pakar Proton telah bekerja keras bagi memastikan ketahanan dan kebolehpercayaan pek Bateri Aegis Short Blade yang dapat menggerakkan Sistem Pemanduan 12-dalam-1. Selain itu, perisian canggih yang dibina dalam e.MAS 7 juga telah menjalani ujian intensif bagi memastikan integrasi dan fungsi dalam keadaan yang optimum.

The Proton e.MAS 7 Tour continues to make waves across Malaysia, showcasing Proton’s first electric vehicle, the e.MAS 7. So far, the EV has traversed over 3,200 km, covering various parts of Malaysia in a nationwide journey aimed at familiarising the public with Proton’s latest innovation and undergoing rigorous real-world testing. Recent highlights include:

East Coast Leg

During this leg, the e.MAS 7 travelled 1,147 km through Pahang, Terengganu, and Kelantan. The journey allowed drivers and passengers to enjoy premium features, such as ventilated front seats with reclining capabilities, adjustable rear seats, and a 256-color ambient lighting system. Public engagements in Kuala Terengganu, including at landmarks like the Drawbridge and Pasar Payang, garnered positive responses, with locals expressing pride in Malaysia’s first OEM EV.
