Proton Expands After-Sales Network in Sabah as X50 Retains Its Lead

Proton continues to dominate Malaysia’s SUV market, with the all-new Proton X50 maintaining its position at the top in September with 2,994 units sold, despite the extended holiday period. The strong demand reinforces the model’s popularity nationwide and highlights Proton’s need to strengthen its customer support infrastructure, particularly in East Malaysia.

To meet the growing ownership base, Proton is expanding its after-sales network in Sabah by enhancing the operations of its Regional Parts Centre (RPC) in Kota Kinabalu. The facility plays a key role as the brand’s main logistics and distribution hub for East Malaysia, ensuring that spare parts reach dealers and service centres quickly and efficiently. Urgent orders can now be fulfilled within 24 hours, while regular stock replenishments take just two days — a clear step forward in supporting the increasing number of Proton vehicles on the road.

The 28,000-square-foot centre, located in Inanam, was set up last year to streamline Proton’s parts distribution network in the region. It processes up to 20 containers each month and can handle six containers simultaneously. With an inventory capable of sustaining three to three-and-a-half months of supply, the RPC maintains healthy stock levels to keep pace with service demands. Its ability to receive direct imports further strengthens Proton’s logistics chain, particularly for Sabah and northern Sarawak.

Proton e.MAS 7 Dah Sampai di Pasaran Mauritius – Harga Dari RM157,153

Proton baru sahaja melancarkan secara rasmi e.MAS 7 di Mauritius.

Ini satu langkah besar, kerana Mauritius menjadi negara antarabangsa keempat yang menerima kereta elektrik (EV) pertama Proton.

Ia dilancarkan di Malaysia baru kira-kira sepuluh bulan lalu, dan baru-baru ini membantu Proton kembali ke pasaran Singapura. Ternyata e.MAS 7 memang laku keras. Ia kini adalah model eksport Proton yang ketiga paling popular, selepas Saga dan X50.

Melancarkan e.MAS 7 di negara baharu menunjukkan Proton serius untuk berkembang di peringkat antarabangsa dan memimpin dalam segmen Kenderaan Tenaga Baharu (NEV). Proton sudah menjadi pemain EV utama di rantau ini, dan permintaan membuktikannya! Proton telah hantar lebih 6,500 unit di dalam dan luar negara sejak kereta ini mula-mula keluar.

Rancangan pengembangan ini disokong oleh pelaburan bijak Proton dalam elektrifikasi. Mereka telah bina kilang EV baharu di Malaysia yang boleh menghasilkan sehingga 45,000 EV setahun. Kilang ini penting untuk matlamat Proton mencapai 250,000 unit eksport dalam beberapa tahun akan datang dan membantu dunia ke arah pemanduan yang lebih lestari.

Proton telah bekerjasama dengan rakan kongsi mereka yang dipercayai, Autonexx, selama lebih 35 tahun di Mauritius, dan pelancaran EV ini adalah kejayaan terbaru. Kedua-dua syarikat berkongsi matlamat yang sama: menjadikan mobiliti elektrik sebagai masa depan di Mauritius.

Proton e.MAS 7 datang dengan dua pilihan di Mauritius, iaitu Prime dan Premium. Sama dengan model di Malaysia, Proton e.MAS 7 juga datang dengan penarafan 5-bintang ASEAN NCAP.

Dari segi kuasa, ia boleh memecut dari 0 ke 100 km/j dalam hanya 7.1 saat. Unit pacuan elektriknya berkuasa dengan 215hp dan tork 320 Nm.

Ia menggunakan sel bateri AEGIS Short Blade, dan bateri 60.22 kWhnya memberikan jarak perjalanan 410 km (mengikut WLTP).

Untuk memastikan pelanggan tak risau beralih ke EV, Proton menawarkan jaminan yang kukuh: 6 tahun atau 150,000 km untuk kereta, dan jaminan 8 tahun atau 160,000 km untuk bateri voltan tinggi dan komponen penting lain.

Sempena pelancaran ini, Proton Mauritius ada promosi istimewa early-bird untuk 30 pelanggan pertama!

• e.MAS 7 Prime berharga Rs 1,690,000 (RM157,153) (atas jalan, tak termasuk insurans)  dan didatangkan dengan pengecas wallbox percuma dan kad e.motion percuma.

• Versi Premium pula berharga Rs 1,850,000 (RM172,031) (atas jalan, tak termasuk insurans) dan termasuk pengecas wallbox dan kad e.motion percuma, ditambah lima tahun servis percuma (atau sehingga 150,000 km).

Jika anda tertanya-tanya mengapa Proton e.MAS 7 jauh lebih mahal di Mauritius berbanding di Malaysia, ini adalah disebabkan oleh cukai yang tinggi dan duti eksais yang dikenakan oleh kerajaan ke atas kereta import, serupa dengan apa yang dilakukan oleh kerajaan Malaysia. Dalam kes tertentu, ia boleh mencecah sehingga 100%. Selain itu, terdapat juga cukai nilai tambah (VAT) sebanyak 15% lagi yang dikenakan.

Proton e.MAS 7 Launched in Mauritius – Priced From RM157,153!

Big news from Proton International Corporation (PICSB)! They’ve officially rolled out the Proton e.MAS 7 in Mauritius.

This is kind of a big deal, as it makes Mauritius the fourth international spot to get Proton’s very first electric vehicle (EV). It’s only been about ten months since the car first launched in Malaysia, and it just recently helped Proton get back into the Singapore market, too. Clearly, the e.MAS 7 is already a hit—it’s now Proton’s third best-selling export model, right behind the classic Saga and the popular X50.

A Big Step for Proton’s EV Plan:
Launching the e.MAS 7 in new countries is a huge move for Proton. It really shows they’re serious about growing internationally and leading the charge in New Energy Vehicles (NEVs). PROTON is quickly becoming a major EV player in the region, and the demand proves it! They’ve delivered over 6,500 units both at home and abroad since the car debuted.

This whole expansion plan is powered by Proton’s smart investments in electrification. They built a brand-new EV plant in Malaysia that can pump out up to 45,000 EVs a year. That facility is key to Proton’s goal of hitting 250,000 export units over the next few years and helping the world move toward sustainable driving.

Partnership and Power
PROTON’s been working with their trusted partner, Autonexx, for over 35 years in Mauritius, and this EV launch is just the latest success story. They both share the same goal: making electric mobility the future in Mauritius.

So, what about the car itself? The e.MAS 7 is offered in two variants in Mauritius—Prime and Premium. It’s offered with the same 5-star ASEAN NCAP rating and shares the same specifications too.

It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.1 seconds. The electric drive unit packs a punch with 214hp of power and 320 Nm of torque.

It runs on advanced AEGIS Short Blade battery cells, and its 60.22 kWh battery gives you a WLTP-rated range of 410 km.

To make going electric worry-free, PROTON is offering a comprehensive warranty of 6 years or 150,000 km for the car, and an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty for the high-voltage battery and components.

To celebrate the arrival, Proton Mauritius is offering an awesome early-bird promotion for the first 30 customers!

• The e.MAS 7 Prime is priced at Rs 1,690,000 (on the road, excluding insurance) (RM157,153) and comes with a free wallbox charger and a free e.motion card.
• The Premium version is Rs 1,850,000 (on the road, excluding insurance) (RM172,031) and includes the free wallbox charger and e.motion card, plus five years of free servicing (or up to 150,000 km).

If you are wondering why the Proton e.MAS 7 is much more expensive in Mauritius than in Malaysia, well that is because of the heavy taxation and excise duties that the government imposes on imported cars, something like what they Malaysian government does. Up to 100% in certain cases. On top of that, there is also a further 15% value added tax imposed.

Proton Anjur “Penang Proton One Tank Challenge” Membuktikan Kecekapan Penggunaan Bahan Api Proton S70

Proton baru-baru ini telah menganjurkan “Penang Proton One Tank Challenge” yang menjadi sebahagian daripada sambutan Hari Sukan Negara peringkat Daerah Seberang Perai  Tengah pada 11 Oktober. Sebagai salah satu rakan strategik penganjuran, syarikat berkenaan mengambil peluang ini untuk mengetengahkan model sedan Proton S70 dengan mencabar para pemiliknya menguji kecekapan penggunaan bahan api serta prestasi pemanduan sebenar kenderaan mereka di jalan raya.

Acara ini turut diadakan seminggu selepas Proton diumumkan sebagai salah satu penaja utama Penang Bridge International  Marathon (PBIM) 2025, di mana para peserta berpeluang memenangi sebuah Proton S70 baharu melalui cabutan bertuah. 

Bertemakan “Pandulah dengan Cekap. Hidup Secara Aktif. Raikan Malaysia”, acara One Tank Challenge ini sejajar  dengan objektif Hari Sukan Negara yang memupuk gaya hidup sihat dan aktif. Para peserta menempuh laluan  sejauh 110km yang merangkumi jalan di pulau, tanah besar serta kedua-dua jambatan yang menghubungkan Pulau Pinang dan Seberang Perai.

Bermula dari jam 8.00 pagi hingga 2.00 petang, seramai 33 orang pemilik Proton S70 mengambil bahagian untuk menguji kemahiran pemanduan berhemah sambil menikmati pengalaman pemanduan yang mengujakan ditawarkan oleh kenderaan mereka.

Proton Showcases S70 Efficiency at the Penang One Tank Challenge

Proton recently organised the Penang Proton One Tank Challenge as part of the district-level Hari Sukan Negara celebrations for Daerah Seberang Perai Tengah on 11 October. Acting as one of the strategic partners for the event, Proton used the occasion to showcase the S70 sedan’s real-world fuel efficiency and driving performance.

The challenge followed closely after Proton was named one of the title sponsors for the 2025 Penang Bridge International Marathon, where a new Proton S70 will be the top prize in the event’s lucky draw.

Under the theme “Drive Efficiently. Live Actively. Celebrate Malaysia,” the challenge aligned with the National Sports Day’s goal of encouraging active lifestyles. Thirty-three Proton S70 owners took part in the six-hour event, which ran from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Participants drove along a scenic 110 km route covering both Penang Island and the mainland, crossing the two bridges that link them.

The event drew strong participation from Proton S70 owners, all competing for cash prizes by achieving the lowest fuel consumption. Starting from Setia Sentral Juru, the route took drivers through Bayan Lepas and George Town via the Second Penang Bridge before returning to the mainland through the First Penang Bridge.

Proton e.MAS 5 Raih 3,000 Tempahan, e.MAS 7 Kekal Sebagai Pilihan Utama EV di Malaysia

PRO-NET, anak syarikat Proton peneraju kepada pembangunan mobiliti elektrik, mengumumkan bahawa Proton e.MAS 5, kenderaan elektrik mampu milik pertama di Malaysia, telah menerima 3,000 tempahan, termasuk 1,607 tempahan dalam tempoh 24 jam pertama selepas tempahan dibuka.

Kejayaan awal Proton e.MAS 5 memperkukuh keyakinan pasaran yang telah dibina oleh model terdahulunya, Proton e.MAS 7, yang terus mengungguli carta pasaran kenderaan elektrik (EV) di Malaysia sepanjang tahun 2025. Sehingga 30 September 2025, jumlah jualan kumulatif e.MAS 7 telah mencecah 6,655 unit, merangkumi 6,212 unit jualan domestik dan 443 unit eksport. Pencapaian ini mengekalkan kedudukan e.MAS 7 sebagai EV No.1 di Malaysia selama sembilan bulan berturut-turut, dengan penguasaan pasaran EV sebanyak 24%.

Dengan kehadiran Proton e.MAS 5 tidak lama lagi, PRO-NET terus memperkukuh komitmennya untuk menawarkan kenderaan elektrik berkualiti dan berteknologi canggih pada harga mampu milik. EV segmen-B ini dijangka dijual pada anggaran harga antara RM60,000 hingga RM80,000,  didatangkan dengan  ciri, teknologi, dan pengalaman pemanduan yang setanding dengan kenderaan dalam lingkungan harga yang lebih tinggi.

Proton e.MAS 5 Draws 3,000 Bookings in First Week as Malaysians Embrace Affordable EV Ownership

PRO-NET, the electric vehicle arm of national automaker Proton, has hit a major milestone with the Proton e.MAS 5 — Malaysia’s first truly affordable EV, securing 3,000 bookings within its first week of availability. Even more impressively, over half of that figure came within the first 24 hours, signalling an overwhelming response from Malaysian buyers eager to make the switch to electric mobility.

The e.MAS 5’s strong debut follows the success of its larger sibling, the Proton e.MAS 7, which continues to dominate the local EV market in 2025. As of the end of September, Proton has sold a total of 6,655 units of the e.MAS 7, including 443 units exported to neighbouring markets.

With a 24% share of Malaysia’s EV segment, the model has held its position as the country’s best-selling electric vehicle for nine consecutive months — an achievement that has clearly boosted confidence in the brand’s growing EV line-up.

Lebih 5,000 Unit Proton X50 Diedarkan Dalam 40 Hari

Sejak pelancarannya yang dinanti-nantikan pada 24 Julai 2025, Proton X50 telah mengukuhkan kedudukannya sebagai penanda aras baharu dalam pasaran SUV dengan lebih daripada 5,000 unit berjaya diedarkan dalam tempoh hanya 40 hari.

Since its launch on 24 July 2025, the Proton X50 has quickly asserted itself as the benchmark in Malaysia’s compact SUV market. In just 40 days, more than 5,000 units have been delivered nationwide, a figure that speaks volumes about its strong demand and widespread appeal.

Market research conducted by Proton reveals that the X50’s appeal cuts across several key buyer demographics, though it has proven especially popular among younger professionals and entrepreneurs in their 20s to mid-30s. For this group, the SUV represents a significant lifestyle upgrade — modern, dynamic, and well-equipped for both work and leisure.

Over half of these customers were replacing older vehicles, many of which had been owned for nearly a decade, while around a third had previously driven models such as the Proton Saga. The data highlights the X50’s role as a natural progression for Malaysians looking to move up into a more premium yet attainable vehicle segment.

Proton e.MAS 5 Mencatat 1,607 Tempahan Dalam Tempoh 24 Jam Selepas Tempahan Dibuka

Proton New Energy Technology Sdn Bhd (PRO-NET), anak syarikat milik penuh Proton, mengumumkan bahawa Proton e.MAS 5 telah mencatat sebanyak 1,607 tempahan dalam tempoh 24 jam selepas tempahan dibuka secara rasmi pada 4 Oktober 2025.

Sambutan luar biasa ini susulan selepas siaran langsung khas “Open for Booking” yang pertama diadakan pada hari Sabtu di Proton e.MAS Nilai, di mana Proton e.MAS 5 dipamerkan kepada rakyat Malaysia, sebuah kenderaan elektrik (EV) mampu milik pertama di Malaysia.

Siaran langsung tersebut telah disiarkan serentak di lapan halaman TikTok dan satu halaman Facebook, termasuk saluran rasmi Proton e.MAS. Acara ini berjaya menarik kira-kira 572,000 penonton secara langsung, dan selepas pelancarannya, jumlah tontonan telah melebihi 1 juta dan terus meningkat di seluruh negara.
