BYD Malaysia Unveils the Sealion 7 Starting from RM183,800

Sime Darby Motors, the official distributor of BYD cars in Malaysia, has launched the BYD Sealion 7, a flagship electric SUV that redefines performance, style, and utility in the Malaysian EV market. The Sealion 7, featuring innovative technology and a premium design, is available in two variants: Premium and Performance.

Performance and Specifications

The BYD Sealion 7 boasts impressive performance across its two variants. The Premium variant delivers 308hp of power and 380Nm of torque, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds with a range of 567km. The Performance variant offers a staggering 522hp of power and 690Nm of torque, achieving 0-100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds with a range of 542km. Both variants are powered by BYD’s renowned Blade Battery, ensuring safety, durability, and efficient charging with support for AC and DC fast charging.

Safety and Technology

The Sealion 7 places safety at its core with nine airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchorage points, a 360° camera, and advanced driver-assistance features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning, and Blind Spot Detection. Inside, the SUV offers a luxurious experience with genuine leather seats, a panoramic glass roof, and a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen integrated with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Passengers will also enjoy immersive audio through a DYNAUDIO 12-speaker system.

Pricing, Launch Promotions and Availability

The Premium is priced at RM183,800 while the Performance is priced at RM199,800!

To celebrate the launch, BYD is offering exclusive early bird promotions for bookings made by November 17, 2024. Customers will receive a complimentary home charger and RM800 in charging credits, provided they register their vehicle by December 31, 2024. The Sealion 7 is available in Cosmos Black, Aurora White, Atlantis Grey, and Shark Grey, with prices reflecting its premium features.

The all-new Sealion 7 will debut at Level Upper Ground, The Exchange 106 in Kuala Lumpur, from November 15 to 17, where visitors can experience the vehicle firsthand and participate in test drives.

This launch also marks BYD Malaysia’s second anniversary and its milestone as the leading EV brand in Malaysia, with over 11,000 loyal customers. A special trade-up program for existing BYD owners further highlights the company’s appreciation for customer loyalty.

Test Drive The New Omoda C9 This Weekend!

This is your chance to drive the highly anticipated Omoda C9 set to be officially launched soon by Jaecoo Malaysia.

The 5-seater SUV will take on the likes of the Honda CRV, Proton X90 and the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro when officially launched here.

There are two variants for Malaysians, one is a 2WD model with an estimated price of RM185,000, and another is an AWD model with an unconfirmed price tag of RM195,000.

Powering the C9 is a 2.0-litre, turbocharged, inline-four petrol engine putting out 261PS and 400Nm with power channelled to the wheels through an 8-speed transmission.

Jaecoo Malaysia Pratonton Omoda C9 – Pelancaran Dijadualkan Pada Disember 2024

Jaecoo bersedia menggegarkan pasaran SUV Malaysia dengan pelancaran model terbaharunya, Omoda C9, yang dijadualkan pada Disember ini. Model ini dijangka membawa impak besar dalam segmen SUV segmen D dengan gabungan prestasi enjin yang kuat, ciri keselamatan termaju, dan keselesaan mewah, sambil mengekalkan harga yang kompetitif.

Emily Lek, Naib Presiden Jaecoo Malaysia, menggariskan bahawa C9 mewakili fasa baru dalam komitmen jenama terhadap inovasi dan kualiti, dengan varian coupe SUV luar jalan premium yang pertama di Asia Tenggara.

Reka bentuk futuristik Omoda C9 termasuk gril matriks berlian, lampu nyalaan siang berinspirasikan sigma, dan lampu hadapan LED yang boleh disesuaikan. Selain itu, ia dilengkapi dengan ciri-ciri seperti kemasukan tanpa kunci dengan Near Field Communication (NFC) dan penguncian berjalan kaki.

Dari segi prestasi, Omoda C9 dikuasakan oleh enjin petrol 2.0 TGDI, menghasilkan 257hp dan tork 400Nm. Varian 2WD menawarkan tiga mod pemanduan, manakala varian AWD hadir dengan tujuh mod pemanduan, sesuai untuk pengembaraan bandar dan luar jalan. Ruang but yang luas antara 660 hingga 1,783 liter menambah lagi fleksibiliti kenderaan ini.

C9 juga dilengkapi dengan teknologi keselamatan canggih seperti Continuous Damping Control (CDC), Sistem Bantuan Pemandu Lanjutan (ADAS) tahap 2.5, dan binaan kerangka yang menggunakan 85% keluli berkekuatan tinggi.

Bahagian dalam Omoda C9 menawarkan kemewahan dengan pencahayaan ambien aktif, paparan HD 24.6 inci, dan kabin yang dipertingkatkan dengan bahan kulit premium. Ciri-ciri lain termasuk penyaman udara tiga zon, pengecasan tanpa wayar, dan pengalaman audio yang mengasyikkan dengan 14 pembesar suara di varian AWD.

Harga anggaran untuk varian 2WD adalah sekitar RM185,000, manakala varian AWD berharga sekitar RM195,000. C9 akan dipratonton dalam jerayawara pada Oktober sebelum pelancarannya pada Disember.

Leapmotor C10 Dipratonton Sebelum Pelancaran Rasmi di Malaysia

Pada Oktober 2023, Stellantis dan Leapmotor mengumumkan usaha sama strategik, membentuk Leapmotor International, di mana Stellantis memegang 51% kepentingan dan Leapmotor 49%. Perkongsian ini bertujuan untuk mempercepatkan pengembangan Leapmotor di luar China, dengan memanfaatkan jangkauan global Stellantis. The Zeekr 7X made its anticipated debut at the Chengdu Auto Show on August 30, marking the latest innovation in Zeekr’s electric vehicle (EV) lineup. Set for deliveries in China by the end of September, with international shipments within a year, the 7X is designed with a global audience in mind.

The 7X is a midsize electric SUV built on Geely’s Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) platform, utilising advanced 800V architecture. It measures 4,825 mm in length, 1,930 mm in width, and features a wheelbase of 2,925 mm, slightly bigger than a Honda CR-V, with a curb weight ranging from 2,298 to 2,475 kg.
