New Porsche Cayenne Available For Bookings – From RM600k

Porsche Malaysia, represented by Sime Darby Auto Performance, has announced that the new Porsche Cayenne, designed exclusively for the Malaysian market, is now available for online ordering through a streamlined digital platform.

The new Porsche Cayenne has undergone significant design and technology enhancements, resulting in a more expressive appearance and advanced features.

The front end has been redesigned, featuring more pronounced and muscular wings, a refreshed hood, and technically appealing headlights that accentuate the SUV’s width. The rear end is characterised by three-dimensionally designed taillights, clean and uncluttered surfaces, and a new rear apron with an integrated number plate holder, contributing to a distinct and modern rear design. Plus, it comes with 20-inch Cayenne Design wheels.

Matrix LED Headlights are now standard, representing a significant lighting upgrade. These headlights utilise data from the SUV’s speed, camera, and navigation systems to provide optimal illumination. The high beam area is divided into 11 segments, allowing precise control of the lighting to avoid dazzling vehicles ahead or oncoming traffic, a technology known as matrix beam.

It features a V6 turbo that puts out 353PS and 500Nm of torque with an 8-speed Tiptronic S transmission. It can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 5.7 seconds and has a top speed of 248km/h.

It also offers an improved driving experience thanks to its adaptive air suspension with advanced technology. This suspension system provides a smoother ride, better stability on various terrains, and easier handling on and off the road compared to the standard suspension and the previous model. It also enhances driving precision, reduces body movements during dynamic driving, and offers distinct driving modes like Normal, Sport, and Sport Plus for a customised experience.

Stepping into the cabin, Porsche has introduced an air quality system in the new Cayenne, offering improved interior comfort. As a standard feature, the vehicle uses predictive navigation data to detect approaching tunnel entrances, automatically activating air recirculation to prevent the ingress of tunnel air.

Additionally, an optional sensor can detect the level of fine dust particles in the air and direct it through the fine dust filter multiple times if necessary. Furthermore, an ionizer is included, which helps remove germs and pollutants from the cabin air, providing a cleaner and more comfortable environment, particularly beneficial for individuals with allergies.

Porsche has implemented the new Porsche Driver Experience, a concept initially introduced in the Porsche Taycan, which places instrumentation on the driver’s axis to improve accessibility and usability. Frequently used functions are strategically positioned on or near the steering wheel for convenience. For example, the lever located behind the steering wheel on the left side has gained additional functions for operating the driver assistance systems. The automatic transmission selector lever has been relocated to the dashboard, freeing up space for a redesigned center console that houses storage compartments and a spacious air conditioning controller, all presented in an elegant black panel design.

The Porsche Driver Experience strikes a balance between digital and analogue elements, combining large, user-friendly controls with mechanical air conditioning switches and a haptic volume controller. This blend of modern technology and tactile interfaces ensures optimal usability while maintaining a sophisticated and refined aesthetic.

For the first time, the Cayenne’s redesigned cockpit features a fully digital 12.6-inch instrument cluster with a curved and free-standing design, offering various display options to cater to driver preferences. Additionally, the standard 12.3-inch central Porsche Communication Management (PCM) display seamlessly integrates into the new dashboard, providing access to all relevant vehicle functions with a harmonious and contemporary design.

Three exterior colours are available including Chromite Black Metallic, Carrara White Metallic and Quarzite Grey Metallic, with black or black and red leather interiors to choose from.

For the new locally assembled Cayenne, Porsche offers a range of personalisation options that allow customers to tailor their vehicle to their individual preferences and needs.

Among the customisation options are the choice of wheels, including the 21-inch Cayenne Exclusive Design wheels at RM45,000 and the larger 22-inch Sport Design wheels at RM49,000.

Additionally, customers have the option to elevate the ownership experience further by adding rear-seat entertainment systems with an additional RM13,500. Porsche’s Tequipment accessories offer a diverse range of options for customisation, allowing customers to fine-tune their Cayenne to meet their specific requirements and tastes.

Customers may reach out to their nearest Porsche Centre or place orders online at mycayenne.online. The pricing for the new Cayenne starts from RM599,999 and deliveries are scheduled to commence by the end of 2023.
