Toyota Launches Upgraded Supra RZ Grade and Limited A90 Final Edition

Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) has officially launched a partially upgraded version of the Supra RZ Grade, now available at Toyota dealerships across Japan. In addition, the company has opened the lottery for the highly anticipated special-edition Supra A90 Final Edition, limited to just 150 units in Japan. The lottery runs until April 13, with winners set to be announced on May 9.

The latest updates to the Supra RZ Grade focus on enhancing its driving experience, making it more integrated and enjoyable on city streets, winding roads, and racing circuits. Toyota has improved braking performance for greater safety, increased the body’s rigidity, and refined the suspension and chassis tuning. Aerodynamic improvements have also been introduced to boost handling and stability.

The A90 Final Edition represents the pinnacle of the current-generation Supra, offering significant performance upgrades as a tribute to loyal fans. This special-edition model features increased engine power and torque, upgraded braking components, a strengthened body structure, and a KW suspension system—a favourite among racing enthusiasts. The car is also equipped with high-performance tyres, further refining its high-speed stability and responsiveness.

Toyota Gazoo Racing Opens Orders for Updated GR Corolla in Japan

Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) has officially begun accepting orders for the newly enhanced GR Corolla, a high-performance model refined with insights from the brand’s motorsport experience. The updated version features a turbocharged three-cylinder engine delivering 299hp and is available with either an eight-speed Gazoo Racing Direct Automatic Transmission (GR-DAT) or a six-speed manual transmission.

The automatic variant is equipped with an Ultrasuede-upholstered shift knob accented by an aluminate red trim ring and a shift lever boot. Meanwhile, the manual version features a similar design but with the addition of the GR logo. Both models include a manual parking brake, a parking brake boot, and three-point ELR seat belts for added safety.

Toyota Kembali ke Formula 1, Rakan Kongsi Teknikal untuk Pasukan F1 Haas

Toyota telah kembali ke Formula 1 sebagai rakan kongsi teknikal rasmi Pasukan F1 Haas melalui bahagian Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR). Dalam perjanjian berbilang tahun ini, Toyota akan menyumbang dalam reka bentuk, teknikal, dan pembuatan bagi pasukan Haas, menandakan penglibatan semula pengeluar Jepun ini dalam F1. Penjenamaan Toyota Gazoo Racing akan dipaparkan pada kereta Haas semasa Grand Prix Amerika Syarikat yang akan datang.

Langkah ini menandakan usaha Toyota untuk kembali ke dunia perlumbaan grand prix, didorong oleh peraturan casis baharu yang akan diperkenalkan pada tahun 2026. Namun, Toyota tidak merancang untuk menjadi pembekal unit kuasa bagi rangka kerja enjin baharu itu. Toyota kali terakhir bersaing dalam F1 dari 2002 hingga 2009 tetapi tidak meraih kemenangan perlumbaan dan menarik diri akibat krisis kewangan global.

Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) secara rasmi telah membuka tempahan untuk GR Supra GT4 EVO2, model terbaru yang lebih canggih dan ditala daripada kereta perlumbaan ikonik mereka. Berdasarkan kejayaan GR Supra GT4 yang dilancarkan pada tahun 2020, evolusi terkini ini dijangka meningkatkan prestasi, kebolehpercayaan, dan kebolehkendalian. Sejak pelancarannya, lebih daripada 120 unit GR Supra GT4 telah terjual di seluruh dunia, dengan lebih 500 penamat podium dalam 11 negara, memperkukuh reputasinya dalam dunia perlumbaan.

Toyota Gazoo Racing Unveils the New GR Supra GT4 EVO2, Set for 2025 Debut

Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) has officially opened orders for the highly anticipated GR Supra GT4 EVO2, a further refined version of their successful racing model. Building upon the GR Supra GT4’s success since its 2020 launch, this latest evolution is set to elevate performance, reliability, and operability. Over 120 units of the original GR Supra GT4 have been sold globally, with more than 500 podium finishes in 11 countries, showcasing the car’s prominence in the racing world.

Continuous Improvement Based on Real-World Feedback

After the 2023 update, which enhanced braking, handling, and engine performance, TGR continued to seek insights from racing teams and drivers around the world. The “driver-first car-making” approach guided the development of the GR Supra GT4 EVO2, incorporating feedback obtained under extreme racing conditions. The result is a car poised to dominate the 2025 GT4 season.

Key improvements include re-tuned ABS maps, optimised for various tire types and track conditions, and software updates that reduce downshifting time, improving deceleration control and cornering speed. Enhanced cooling performance for the engine, brakes, and drivetrain, along with optimised cockpit temperatures, ensures the car performs at a high level even in demanding conditions. These refinements make the EVO2 accessible not just to professional drivers but also to ambitious amateurs.

Technical Highlights and Specifications

The GR Supra GT4 EVO2 maintains its impressive technical framework, with a 2,998 cm³ in-line six-cylinder engine, delivering up to 660 Nm of torque. The modified ZF automatic transmission with paddle shift and DREXLER Motorsport-spec limited-slip differential ensure powerful performance. The car’s chassis, constructed with a steel/aluminum body and high-strength roll cage, adheres to FIA regulations, and natural fibre composites are used for the front splitter and rear wing.

The car comes equipped with advanced Brembo six-piston front calipers and four-piston rear calipers, supported by KW adjustable racing dampers. Pirelli tires and OZ 11×18-inch wheels complete the setup, delivering superior traction and handling.

Future Debut

The GR Supra GT4 EVO2 will make its world debut at the 2025 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, kicking off with the prestigious 24 Hours of Daytona in January.

Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) telah memperkenalkan 2024 GR Yaris, menunjukkan komitmen syarikat terhadap peningkatan berterusan dalam kereta berasaskan sukan permotoran. GR Yaris, yang pertama kali dilancarkan pada September 2020, telah mengalami ujian dan evolusi pertandingan yang ketat.

Penambahbaikan utama termasuk pengenalan Transmisi Automatik Direct Gazoo Racing 8-speed yang baru, menampilkan perisian yang dioptimumkan untuk pemanduan bergaya dan mencapai kelajuan pertukaran gear bertaraf dunia. Prestasi enjin mengalami peningkatan output dari 272PS kepada 304PS dan tork dari 370Nm kepada 400Nm. Toyota GR Unveils Evolved GR Yaris with 8-Speed Automatic Transmission

Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) has revealed the evolved version of its iconic GR Yaris, reinforcing its commitment to the continuous improvement of motorsports-bred cars. The GR Yaris, symbolic of TGR’s dedication to excellence, has undergone rigorous testing and competition evolution since its launch in September 2020.

Central to this evolution is the introduction of a newly developed 8-speed GAZOO Racing Direct Automatic Transmission. This transmission, honed through motorsports testing and diverse road conditions, boasts optimised software for sporty driving, achieving world-class gear-shifting speeds and close-ratio gears for optimal power band utilisation. The RZ “High performance” trim is equipped with a Torsen LSD for enhanced driving force control.

The engine performance sees an increase in output from 272PS to 304PS and torque from 370Nm to 400Nm.

In terms of cockpit design, the control panel and display have been tilted 15 degrees towards the driver for improved visibility and operability. The driving posture has been enhanced, forward visibility expanded, and the shift lever position optimised. A 12.3-inch full-colour TFT gauge display, inspired by professional race drivers, offers crucial vehicle information.

The exterior design incorporates motorsports input with features like an upgraded lower grille, larger side lower grilles for improved cooling, and a rear lower garnish with an opening to reduce aerodynamic drag.

Chassis and body reinforcements include an increased number of bolts fastening the body to shock absorbers and additional spot welding points, resulting in improved handling stability. A “Cooling Package” enhances cooling performance with options like a sub-radiator, cool air intake, and intercooler sprayer.

The GR Yaris also introduces a standard drive mode selection function for both sporty and everyday driving. The optional vertical parking brake, influenced by motorsports, enhances operational efficiency in competitions. TGR plans to offer an upgrade service for the GRMN Yaris, incorporating lessons from the evolved GR Yaris and motorsports participation.

The GR Yaris RZ “High performance・Sébastien Ogier Edition” and GR Yaris RZ “High performance・Kalle Rovanperä Edition” concept models are set for sales launch, to be unveiled at Rallye Monte Carlo, marking the first round of the FIA World Rally Championship. TGR’s commitment to making ever-better motorsports-bred cars remains an ongoing pursuit, ensuring the GR Yaris continues to evolve through competition and driver feedback.

Toyota GR Malaysia Sets Sights on Defending Title at 2023 Sepang Endurance Race

Toyota Gazoo Racing Malaysia is gearing up for the 2023 Sepang 1000 KM Endurance Race (S1K) with a focus on defending the overall title they secured the previous year. The team plans to enter a Toyota Vios in the MTC Class, with drivers Tengku Djan Ley Tengku Mahaleel and Naquib Azlan returning to the competition. Additionally, dealer team Wing Hin Motorsports will participate with two Toyota Yaris cars in the MTC Class, driven by Boy Wong and former Gazoo Racing Rookie Class driver Amer Harris.

The S1K event will also feature the third edition of the Gazoo Racing (GR) Vios Enduro Cup within the SP2 Class. This cup has gained popularity as a season finale for drivers already engaged in the GR Vios Challenge and GR Vios Sprint Cup. The GR Vios Enduro Cup attracts a diverse range of drivers, including teenagers, a father and son duo, a husband and wife team, and several female drivers.

Toyota GR Malaysia Kembali Ke S1K; Menyambut Tahun Ketiga Piala Gazoo Racing Vios Enduro

Toyota Gazoo Racing Malaysia bersedia untuk menyertai Perlumbaan ‘Endurance’ Sepang 1000 KM (S1K) 2023, dengan matlamat mempertahankan gelaran keseluruhan yang mereka menangi pada tahun sebelumnya.

Pasukan ini akan menggunakan sebuah Toyota Vios dalam Kelas MTC, dengan Tengku Djan Ley Tengku Mahaleel dan Naquib Azlan kembali sebagai pemandu. Selain itu, dua kereta Toyota Yaris akan dimasukkan oleh pasukan peniaga Wing Hin Motorsports dalam Kelas MTC, yang akan dipandu oleh Boy Wong dan bekas pemandu Gazoo Racing Rookie Class, Amer Harris.

TGR Malaysia To Continue Support For Malaysian Motorsports

With the conclusion of the GR Vios Sprint Cup and the introduction of the GR GT Cup Malaysia, e-racing competition, UMW Toyota Motor and Toyota Gazoo Racing Malaysia have declared their continuous support for Malaysian motorsports for on-track and virtual racing activities.

The GR Vios Sprint Cup was staged as part of the Malaysia Championship Series (MCS) and was held independently of the GR Vios Challenge (Toyota Gazoo Racing Festival). On Saturday and Sunday, two driver teams competed in two one-hour races that included a mandatory pit stop and driver change. It was included in the national series for the second time this year.

Laser Motor Racing won its third race in a row and finished on the podium for the fourth time in a row to round off a successful season. The team claimed a double victory in the series’ second and final round, with Putera Adam and Jwan Hii winning Race 1 and teammates Eddie Lew and Amer Harris dominating Race 2.
