Audi telah memperkenalkan enjin diesel V6 tiga liter baharu untuk model Q5 dan A6, menawarkan 299 PS dan 580 Nm tork. Ini merupakan kali pertama jenama itu menggabungkan sistem MHEV plus bersama pemampat berkuasa elektrik pada enjin diesel, menghasilkan prestasi lebih responsif dan penggunaan bahan api yang lebih cekap berbanding generasi sebelumnya. Tempahan untuk model Q5 dan A6 dengan V6 TDI quattro kini dibuka.

Sistem MHEV plus ialah evolusi daripada teknologi hibrid ringan Audi, memadukan starter alternator tali sawat, penjana rangkaian kuasa dan bateri litium besi fosfat. Starter alternator tali sawat berfungsi menghidupkan enjin dan membekalkan tenaga kepada bateri, manakala penjana rangkaian kuasa membolehkan kereta bergerak secara elektrik sepenuhnya untuk jarak pendek ketika berada dalam trafik perlahan atau kelajuan stabil.

Selain membantu menjimatkan bahan api, sistem ini turut memberikan tambahan tork sehingga 230 Nm dan sehingga 24 PS ketika memotong atau membelok, selain memulihkan tenaga sehingga 25 kW semasa membrek.

Buat pertama kalinya, sistem hibrid ini digandingkan dengan pemampat berkuasa elektrik. Komponen baharu ini memainkan peranan besar dalam sistem pengecasan dua peringkat enjin, bekerjasama dengan pengecas turbo untuk meningkatkan tindak balas pada kelajuan enjin rendah. Hasilnya ialah pemanduan yang lebih bertenaga, sama ada ketika memulakan perjalanan, memecut untuk masuk ke laluan lebih laju, atau mengekalkan kelajuan tinggi di lebuh raya.

Audi has added a new three-litre V6 diesel engine to the Q5 and A6 ranges, producing 299 PS and 580 Nm of torque. This version of the engine marks the first time the brand has paired its MHEV plus system with an electrically powered compressor, creating a more responsive and efficient setup than previous diesel units. Orders for models equipped with the V6 TDI quattro are now open.

The MHEV plus system builds on Audi’s earlier mild-hybrid technology by bringing together a belt alternator starter, a powertrain generator and a lithium iron phosphate battery. The belt alternator starter starts the engine and supplies energy to the battery, while the powertrain generator enables short periods of fully electric driving in low-speed or steady-flow traffic.

It also delivers an additional 230 Nm of torque and up to 24 PS when setting off or overtaking, and it recovers up to 25 kW of energy when braking.

For the first time, Audi has paired this hybrid setup with an electrically powered compressor. This addition plays a key role in both the charging system and the engine’s combustion strategy. Working alongside the turbocharger in a two-stage system, it improves response at low engine speeds and helps balance strong performance with reduced fuel consumption. The combination of the new compressor, the belt alternator starter and the powertrain generator gives the V6 TDI strong acceleration whether starting from rest, joining faster traffic or cruising at higher speeds.

The electrically powered compressor addresses turbo lag by supplying immediate boost, allowing the engine to produce high torque even at low revs. Audi says the improved response is clear during the first moments of acceleration, with the car covering noticeably more distance in the same time than the earlier V6 TDI. As the engine increases its revs, the belt alternator starter provides support, the powertrain generator contributes torque and the compressor increases boost pressure almost instantly. Together, these elements create a more direct and confident driving feel.

Compared with earlier Audi models that used an electrically powered compressor, such as the S4 and SQ5, the latest version operates across the full engine speed range rather than within a narrow band. A redesigned airflow system and a more advanced permanent-magnet synchronous motor have widened its operating window and improved efficiency.

The compressor wheel can reach 90,000 rpm in around 250 milliseconds, almost 40 per cent faster than before, helping build the maximum boost pressure of 3.6 bar nearly a second quicker than the outgoing engine. Audi notes that the result is acceleration similar in immediacy to that of an electric motor.

The new V6 TDI is also compatible with HVO 100, a renewable diesel that meets European standard EN 15940 and is identified by an XTL label on the fuel cap. HVO, made from waste oils and by-products from the food and agriculture sectors, can reduce CO₂ emissions by 70 to 95 per cent compared with fossil diesel.

It can be blended with standard diesel or used on its own. Audi now fills new vehicles, leaving its Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm plants with HVO fuel, highlighting its move towards lower-carbon operation even before customer use.

With the introduction of its latest electrified diesel, Audi is aiming to deliver improved efficiency, stronger everyday performance and wider fuel flexibility—while keeping conventional engines relevant within a changing emissions landscape.

Bahagian belakang pula mengekalkan rekaan kemas dengan sirip melintang yang memperkukuh imej sporty. Identiti pencahayaan menjadi satu lagi elemen utama, dengan empat bar melintang pada lampu hadapan dan belakang yang memberikan tanda pengenalan unik siang atau malam. Warna badan Titanium Grey menambah sentuhan elegan, kukuh, serta ketepatan pada keseluruhan penampilan.

Audi has unveiled the Concept C, a study that signals a bold step forward in the brand’s design language while drawing on elements of its storied past. The two-seat sports car embodies what Audi calls “athletic minimalism”, a philosophy that relies on clean, precise surfaces intersected by a single defining line to create tension, form and purpose.

At the front, the Concept C introduces a new vertical frame that serves as the structural core of the vehicle. This upright element, inspired by the Auto Union Type C of 1936 and the third-generation Audi A6 of 2004, provides a sense of presence and identity while integrating the Audi rings and advanced lighting technology.

A pronounced shoulder line flows from this feature to define the car’s volume, while the cabin itself is pushed rearward to emphasise the central battery layout that underpins its proportions. For the first time on an Audi roadster, an electrically retractable hardtop is employed, using two roof sections that allow the car to maintain its sculpted monolithic profile with the option of open-top driving. The rear is marked by clean surfacing and horizontal slats that accentuate its sporty stance.

Sebuah model konsep Audi bocor di internet, mendahului pelancaran rasmi yang dijadualkan berlangsung di Milan dan Pameran Motor Munich minggu depan.

Gambar coupe elektrik itu pada mulanya muncul di laman Facebook rasmi Audi Canada sebelum dipadamkan, namun sudah cukup pantas dikongsi semula melalui seorang pengguna Instagram.

Model dua pintu tersebut yang masih belum didedahkan namanya menampilkan bahasa reka bentuk yang berani – garisan bersegi tajam, lampu hadapan yang nipis serta lampu belakang tirus. Paling mencuri perhatian ialah penggunaan louvre menggantikan cermin belakang, satu ciri unik yang sebelum ini hanya dibayangkan melalui video acah rasmi Audi.

Konsep ini dipromosikan dengan slogan “Strive for clarity”, yang mengaitkan kereta tersebut dengan warisan rekaan ikonik Audi seperti TT generasi pertama, konsep Avus Quattro, dan jentera perlumbaan Auto Union era 1930-an. Lebih menarik, ia merupakan projek sulung ketua reka bentuk baharu Audi, Massimo Frascella, yang menyertai syarikat itu pada 2024 selepas lebih 10 tahun bersama Jaguar Land Rover. Frascella menekankan pendekatan rekaan yang lebih moden, ringkas dan berpandangan jauh – berbeza daripada mengitar semula gaya retro.

Audi’s upcoming concept car, set for its public unveiling next week in Milan and at the Munich Motor Show, has surfaced online ahead of schedule after a leak revealed the model in full. The image, which briefly appeared as the cover photo on Audi Canada’s official Facebook page before being removed, was swiftly reposted on Instagram by automotive insider Wilco Blok, giving enthusiasts an early look at the coupe.

The still-unnamed concept adopts a sharp, blocky silhouette complemented by slim lighting elements at both ends. Its narrow headlights carry a resemblance to those on the E5 from Audi’s Chinese-market sub-brand, while the rear incorporates thin tail-lights and, uniquely, louvres in place of a conventional windscreen – a detail teased in a video released by Audi over the weekend.

The brand has been promoting the upcoming car under the slogan “Strive for clarity”, referencing some of its design icons including the original TT, the 1991 Avus Quattro concept, and the legendary Auto Union Type C and D Grand Prix racers of the 1930s. These nods to heritage appear intended to highlight the philosophy behind Audi’s next era of design, which will debut with this concept.

Set to arrive in showrooms later this year, the updated Q3 represents a major step forward for Audi’s compact SUV line-up, offering improved efficiency, advanced driver assistance systems, and lighting technology previously unseen in this segment.

Dengan mencatat 9,800 prapesanan pada malam pelancarannya, model ini jelas mencetuskan minat yang tinggi dalam kalangan pembeli yang menginginkan keseimbangan antara prestasi enjin petrol tradisional dan teknologi pintar terkini.

SAIC Audi’s latest offering, the A5L Sportback, has made a notable impact in the automotive market, amassing 9,800 pre-orders on its debut evening. As the world’s first internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle integrated with Huawei’s advanced driving assistance system (ADAS), the model marks a significant technological leap for combustion-powered cars.

Starting at 259,900 yuan (around RM171,000), the A5L Sportback has attracted considerable consumer interest, with around 30% of initial buyers opting for variants equipped with Huawei’s Qiankun intelligent driving technology. This represents a substantial shift in consumer expectations, with smart features once reserved for electric vehicles now making their way into conventional engine platforms.

Engineered on Audi’s new Premium Platform Combustion (PPC), the A5L Sportback incorporates the fifth-generation EA888 engine, delivering a maximum output of 268hp. It also features Porsche-derived VTG variable turbocharging technology and the MHEV Plus super mild hybrid system. These innovations combine to enable the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 5.6 seconds, demonstrating its performance capabilities despite its focus on comfort and intelligence.
