Lamborghini menegaskan komitmennya untuk melancarkan kenderaan elektrik (EV) pertama jenama itu menjelang 2030, dengan jangkaan model berkenaan mampu menghasilkan sehingga 2,000hp. Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Kumpulan Volkswagen, Oliver Blume, baru-baru ini mengesahkan perkembangan tersebut dan menyatakan bahawa EV Lamborghini akan dibina di atas platform khusus yang direka oleh Porsche. Platform ini turut digunakan untuk jenama mewah dan berprestasi tinggi lain dalam kumpulan Volkswagen, termasuk Audi dan Bentley.

Blume menegaskan bahawa EV Lamborghini akan menampilkan “persediaan yang sangat spesifik,” termasuk sistem elektrik sehingga 980 volt, suatu pencapaian yang ketara dalam teknologi prestasi tinggi bagi kenderaan elektrik. Model ini akan mengambil inspirasi daripada konsep Lanzador yang pertama kali diperkenalkan pada pertengahan tahun 2023. Lamborghini remains committed to launching its first all-electric vehicle by 2030, with expectations that it could deliver up to 2,000hp. Volkswagen Group CEO Oliver Blume recently confirmed the development, revealing that the EV will be built on a specialised platform designed by Porsche for the group’s luxury and high-performance brands, including Audi and Bentley.

Blume emphasised that Lamborghini’s EV will feature a “very specific setup,” allowing for up to 980 volts, a significant advancement in electric performance technology. The vehicle will take design cues from the Lanzador concept, which was first unveiled in mid-2023. The concept model featured a raised suspension and a distinctive two-door configuration, elements that will carry over to the final production version.

The Lanzador concept originally debuted with 1,341hp—equivalent to one megawatt of power. Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann has confirmed that the production model will at least match this output, if not exceed it. Equipped with dual electric motors, the vehicle will also offer all-wheel drive, ensuring the high-performance characteristics expected from the Italian marque. Production will take place in Sant’Agata, Italy, alongside Lamborghini’s existing lineup.

Lamborghini bersedia untuk mengucapkan selamat tinggal kepada model Huracan yang ikonik, dengan pengeluaran dijadualkan berakhir pada bulan Disember. Supercar ini, terkenal dengan enjin V10 5.2 liter aspirasi semula jadi yang mendebarkan, akan digantikan oleh supercar hibrid plug-in ketiga Lamborghini, yang dilaporkan dinamakan Temerario. Lamborghini is set to bid farewell to the Huracan, with production scheduled to end in December. The iconic supercar, known for its thrilling naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 engine, will be succeeded by Lamborghini’s third plug-in hybrid supercar, reportedly named the Temerario. The highly anticipated debut of the Temerario will take place at Monterey Car Week on August 16.

Performance Overhaul

The Temerario will mark a significant departure from its predecessor’s signature engine. Instead of the revered V10, it will feature a new 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, delivering an impressive 789hp and 729Nm of torque. This engine, capable of reaching 10,000 rpm, is adapted from the 3.8-litre unit used in Lamborghini’s SC63 LMDh prototype, designed for top-tier racing series including the Hypercar, GTP, and IMSA SportsCar Championships.

In addition to this potent engine, the Temerario will utilise an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission sourced from the Revuelto, ensuring rapid gear changes. The car’s hybrid powertrain will include a three-motor plug-in system, contributing an extra 147hp and 299Nm of torque, bringing the total power output to exceed 887hp. This marks a significant boost of nearly 250hp over most versions of the Huracan.

Integrated within the eight-speed automatic transmission, the electric motor contributes 189hp and 482Nm of torque, while the petrol engine delivers an impressive 612hp and 799Nm.

Compared to its predecessor, the Urus S, the new SE variant shaves off 0.1 seconds in the 0-100km/h sprint, achieving it in just 3.4 seconds. While the Performante variant remains the quickest in the Urus lineup at 3.3 seconds, the Urus SE clocks in at 200km/h in just 11.4 seconds, 1.1 seconds ahead of the petrol-only version and 0.1 seconds quicker than the Performante. Its top speed reaches 312km/h, edging out both V-8-only versions.

Equipped with a 25.7-kWh lithium-ion battery positioned below the cargo floor, the Urus SE boasts over 60km of pure electric range, reaching speeds of up to 130km/h in EV mode before the V-8 engine seamlessly takes over. Lamborghini highlights an 80 per cent reduction in emissions compared to the pure ICE model with the plug-in hybrid configuration.

Beyond its electrified powertrain, the Urus SE receives aesthetic updates including updated matrix LED headlights with a distinctive daytime running light signature inspired by a bull’s tail. The front section features discreet tweaks inspired by the Revuelto supercar, while the rear draws inspiration from the Gallardo, enhancing downforce by 35 per cent compared to the Urus S.

Buyers can choose from an array of customisation options, including new 23-inch wheels, over 100 body colour choices, and 47 interior themes. For those seeking bespoke configurations, Lamborghini offers the Ad Personam program for one-off builds.

The cabin has been updated to highlight Lamborghini’s signature “feel like a pilot” design DNA, featuring new solutions throughout the front section of the dashboard and accentuating the lightweight feeling already introduced on the Revuelto.
