Mazda has unveiled the highly anticipated 2024 MX-5 Miata, also known as Roadster/Roadster RF in Japan. Referred to as the “ND3,” this latest iteration follows the successful 2019 update (ND2) and brings a plethora of enhancements and modernisations to this beloved convertible sports car.

Design and Exterior Upgrades

The 2024 Miata showcases brand-new LED headlights that seamlessly integrate the daytime running lights, a departure from the previous design where these lights were housed in the bumper. The taillights have also undergone subtle updates, and LEDs are now employed throughout, including for the turn signals. Notably, a radar sensor for adaptive cruise control with Smart Brake Support is now discreetly placed on the front grille’s left side.

The addition of the Aero Gray Metallic paint and new wheel designs available in 16- and 17-inch sizes further elevates the aesthetic appeal. These upgrades, coupled with improved safety features, are expected to be rolled out globally in the near future.

The 2024 GT63 S E Performance 4-Door Coupe has received a notable front-end facelift, drawing design cues from the new AMG GT Coupe. The lower grille opening is now broader and narrower, with redesigned outboard intakes sporting sporty vertical slits. Multibeam LED headlights frame the grille, now taller and adorned with additional black trim along the bottom, enhancing its aggressive stance.

In a recent Annual General Meeting, Tan Sri Mokhzani Mahathir, a prominent corporate figure, successfully defended his position as the President of the Malaysian Motorsport Association (MAM). The challenge came from former national GP racer Shahrol Yuzy Ahmad Zaini, but Tan Sri Mokhzani emerged victorious, securing another term as the President.

Crucially, several other essential positions within MAM were also reaffirmed for the term 2023-2026. Dato’ Mohammed Rhiza Ghazi was re-elected as the Deputy President, overcoming a challenge from former racer Kuan Meng Heng. Additionally, Mr. S.N. Nanthan retained the role of Secretary-General, triumphing over sports promoter Adian Yein Khalid. Dato’ Razlan Razali faced a formidable challenge from Jed David but managed to hold onto the position of Treasurer.

Expressing his gratitude to the MAM members for their support and trust, Tan Sri Mokhzani emphasized the commitment of his team to carry out their responsibilities effectively. He stressed their dedication to ensure the success of various programs and long-term planning related to domestic sports initiatives. Tan Sri Mokhzani called for full support from all association members to bolster the nation’s motorsport and drive it towards greater strength and success.

Marking their 110th anniversary in a remarkable fashion, the esteemed automaker introduced the Valour—a limited-edition, V12-powered supercar that pays homage to its rich heritage while embracing the manual transmission.

The Valour is more than a farewell to the manual gearbox; it’s a resounding affirmation of Aston Martin’s commitment to preserving a distinctive driving experience. Marek Reichman, Aston Martin’s creative genius, revealed that the Valour drew inspiration from the extraordinary success of the one-off Victor. Originally designed for a single customer, the Victor impressed audiences at Hampton Court and secured the esteemed Future Classic award. Effective October 2nd, the Pasir Gudang City Council (MBPG) issued notices prohibiting homeowners or neighbours from parking public vehicles in front of their respective houses.

According to BuletinTV3, the Mayor of MBPG states that anyone who does so can be subject to action under Section 48(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 (Act 333), Section 49(1)(g) of the Street, Drainage and Building Act 1974 (Act 133), Minor Offenses 3(n) of the Minor Offenses (Pasir Gudang Municipal Council) 2011, and Orders 17(1) and 17(2) of the Road Traffic Orders (Parking provisions) of the Pasir Gudang Local Authority 2011.

Immediate compound action can be imposed under the minor offences law under the Local Government Act (MBPG) 2010, amounting to RM500, and under the road, drainage, and building minor offences law, with a maximum rate of RM2,000.

It is understood that MBPG took this stern action following an increase in reports from homeowners claiming that neighbours often parked vehicles in front of their houses, causing disharmony among the residents.
