Proton e.MAS 5 Bookings to Open on 4 October with Livestream Event

Proton New Energy Technology Sdn Bhd (PRO-NET), a wholly owned subsidiary of Proton, has confirmed that bookings for the new Proton e.MAS 5 will begin on Saturday, 4 October 2025. The launch will take place through a special livestream event running from 8:00pm to 10:30pm.

The session will be hosted by lifestyle influencers Boss James, recognised for his work in the automotive industry, and Malaysian actress Norreen Iman. The programme will include interactive discussions, live product demonstrations, and electric vehicle insights from motoring experts.

A key highlight of the livestream will be the long-awaited announcement of the car’s estimated price. The event will be broadcast on Proton e.MAS’s official social media channels as well as those of the hosts and invited industry experts, ensuring broad reach and opportunities for real-time engagement.

PRO-NET Perkenal Hab Pengecasan DC Pertama di Tanjung Malim

Proton New Energy Technology Sdn Bhd (PRO-NET), anak syarikat Proton, hari ini melancarkan Hab Pengecasan DC pertamanya di Proton Tanjung Malim. Terletak di bangunan pentadbiran, hab ini dilengkapi dengan dua pengecas DC dan empat petak pengecasan, dengan jumlah kuasa output stesen sebanyak 120kW yang membolehkan empat EV dicas sekaligus.

Berbeza dengan kemudahan terdahulu yang dikendalikan penyedia pihak ketiga, ini merupakan infrastruktur pengecasan pertama Proton yang diuruskan sepenuhnya oleh PRO-NET. Langkah ini membuktikan keupayaan Proton untuk mengendalikan rangkaian pengecasannya sendiri, tanpa bergantung kepada pengendali titik pengecasan (CPO) sedia ada, sekali gus memastikan kawalan lebih baik terhadap aspek kemampuan, kebolehcapaian dan pengalaman pengguna.

Hab pengecasan ini dibuka kepada semua pemilik EV tanpa mengira jenama, selepas mendapat kelulusan Lesen ST EVCS. Dengan langkah inklusif ini, PRO-NET menggalakkan lebih ramai rakyat beralih kepada kenderaan elektrik sambil memperkukuh pembangunan rangkaian pengecasan di seluruh Malaysia.

Proton Opens First Standalone DC Charging Hub in Tanjung Malim

Proton New Energy Technology Sdn Bhd (PRO-NET), a subsidiary of Proton, has launched its first DC Charging Hub at the company’s Tanjung Malim headquarters. The new facility, located at the administration building, is equipped with two DC chargers and four charging bays, providing a total output of 120kW and enabling up to four electric vehicles to charge at the same time.

Unlike earlier setups run through third-party operators, this hub is Proton’s first fully independent charging infrastructure. Managed directly by PRO-NET, it allows the company to control pricing, accessibility, and user experience without relying on external charge point providers.

Importantly, the hub is open to all EV owners regardless of brand, following approval of the ST EVCS License. This inclusivity, PRO-NET says, is intended to encourage more people to switch to electric vehicles while contributing to the development of Malaysia’s charging network.

Tun Mahathir, 100 Tahun, Pandu Proton e.MAS 7 di EKVE

Pada Sabtu, 20 September lalu, pengguna Lebuhraya East Klang Valley Expressway (EKVE) dikejutkan dengan satu pemandangan luar biasa — Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, kini berusia 100 tahun, dilihat memandu sendiri Proton e.MAS 7, SUV elektrik terbaharu keluaran Proton.

Walaupun telah mencecah usia seabad, beliau kelihatan tenang dan yakin mengendalikan kenderaan itu. Ramai pemandu yang terserempak segera mengangkat tangan memberi hormat, tanda penghargaan rakyat terhadap bekas Perdana Menteri yang masih aktif dan bertenaga.

Ikatan Tun Mahathir dan Proton

Hubungan Mahathir dengan Proton bukan sesuatu yang baharu. Sejak tahun 1980-an, beliau telah mencetuskan idea untuk menubuhkan projek kereta nasional sebagai sebahagian daripada visi pembangunan industri negara. Proton secara rasmi ditubuhkan pada 1983, manakala Proton Saga pertama dilancarkan pada 1985.

Sepanjang dekad berikutnya, Mahathir sering dilihat menggunakan kereta Proton — bukan sekadar kenderaan rasmi, malah sebagai pilihan peribadi. Justeru, melihat beliau memandu e.MAS 7, Proton’s pertama SUV elektrik pasaran massa, membawa makna yang mendalam — seolah-olah lingkaran sejarah Proton kembali ke titik asalnya.

Tun Mahathir Shows He’s Driving Strong at 100, Cruising EKVE in Proton e.MAS 7

On Saturday, 20 September, motorists on the East Klang Valley Expressway (EKVE) witnessed a striking sight, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, at 100 years old, confidently behind the wheel of the Proton e.MAS 7. Even as he approaches a century in age, the former Prime Minister looked comfortable and in command of Proton’s first mass-market electric vehicle.

Drivers who recognised him along the highway waved in respect, a small gesture reflecting the enduring admiration many Malaysians hold for him.

For Tun Mahathir, this was more than just a leisurely drive. His connection with Proton runs deep, going back to the 1980s when he spearheaded the national car project as part of his wider vision for Malaysia’s industrialisation.

It was under his leadership that Proton was established in 1983, with the first Saga rolling off the line in 1985. Over the decades, he has often been seen in Proton cars, treating them not as ceremonial symbols but as everyday vehicles. That bond between statesman and carmaker has never really faded.

Proton Melancarkan e.MAS 7 EV Di Singapura

Proton secara rasmi melancarkan kereta elektrik (EV) pertamanya, Proton e.MAS 7, di Singapura minggu ini sekali gus menandakan kemunculan semula jenama ini di negara jiran selepas kira-kira 11 tahun. Pelancaran ini juga menyaksikan Proton menembusi tiga pasaran luar negara untuk model EV yang kini muncul sebagai EV paling laris di Malaysia.

Majlis pelancaran dihadiri oleh Dr Li Chunrong, Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Proton dan Vincent Tan, Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif VINCAR Group. Turut hadir ialah Ainol Azmil Bin Abu Bakar, Pemangku Timbalan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Proton, Zhang Qiang, Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif PRO-NET, Edmund Lim Meng Thong, Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Proton International Corporation, Ernest Tan, Timbalan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif VINCAR Group serta Yusri Yusuf, Pengarah Kanan Strategi Korporat Proton.

Turut memeriahkan majlis oleh pegawai-pegawai daripada Suruhanjaya Tinggi Malaysia di Singapura iaitu Kavitha Mathuvay, Menteri (Ekonomi), Vinothan a/l Tulisi Nathzan, Kaunselor (Pelaburan), Siti Nordiana bt Mohamad Akhir, Pesuruhjaya Perdagangan, dan Intan Shafina Rasdi, Kaunselor (Ekonomi) serta para pelanggan VINCAR dan wakil media Singapura.

Proton e.MAS 7 Lands in Singapore, Marking Brand’s Return After 11 Years

Proton has launched its first electric vehicle, the e.MAS 7, in Singapore, making the brand’s third overseas market for its debut EV. The event also signalled Proton’s return to the city-state after an absence of more than a decade.

The launch brought together senior representatives from Proton and its distributor VINCAR Group, including Proton CEO Dr Li Chunrong, VINCAR CEO Vincent Tan, Proton International Corporation CEO Edmund Lim Meng Thong, PRO-NET CEO Zhang Qiang, and Proton Deputy CEO Ainol Azmil bin Abu Bakar. Officials from the Malaysian High Commission, members of the Singapore media, and VINCAR customers were also present.

Proton e.MAS 7 Catat Penghantaran Keseluruhannya Sebanyak 5,811 Unit

Proton New Energy Technology Sdn Bhd (PRO-NET), anak syarikat Proton, mengumumkan bahawa Proton e.MAS 7 sekali lagi mengekalkan kedudukannya sebagai kenderaan elektrik No. 1 di Malaysia bagi bulan Ogos 2025.

Jumlah penghantaran telah mencecah sebanyak 5,811 unit dari 1 Januari hingga 31 Ogos, merangkumi 5,455 unit jualan tempatan dan 356 unit dieksport ke 4 pasaran antarabangsa.

Dengan pencapaian ini, Proton e.MAS 7 kini telah menjadi kenderaan elektrik paling laris di Malaysia selama lapan bulan berturut-turut, mengekalkan kedudukannya sebagai peneraju pasaran sejak awal tahun.

Berdasarkan data pendaftaran terkini JPJ, model ini terus menguasai pasaran sehingga separuh kedua tahun 2025, dengan 5,455 unit didaftarkan pada bulan Ogos dan jumlah keseluruhan setakat ini mencecah 5,811 unit.

Proton e.MAS 7 Stays on Top as Malaysia’s Best-Selling EV

Proton’s electric push continues to gain traction as the Proton e.MAS 7 has once again claimed the title of Malaysia’s number one electric vehicle for August 2025. According to the latest figures, the EV has racked up 5,811 deliveries between January and August this year, with 5,455 units sold locally and a further 356 exported to four international markets.

This milestone means the e.MAS 7 has been the country’s best-selling EV for eight consecutive months, maintaining its lead since the start of the year. Based on JPJ registration data, the car holds a 24% market share, meaning almost one in every four EVs sold in Malaysia is a Proton e.MAS 7.

Local Assembly Begins in Tanjung Malim

August also marked a significant step forward for Proton with the official opening of its first dedicated EV plant in Tanjung Malim. Up until now, the e.MAS 7 had been brought in as a completely built-up (CBU) model from China to keep up with strong early demand. With the new facility now operational, Proton will soon begin local assembly of the model, making the e.MAS 7 the brand’s first CKD EV.

Proton X50 Baharu Dinobatkan SUV Nombor Satu di Malaysia

Proton X50 serba baharu kini secara rasmi dinobatkan sebagai SUV nombor satu di Malaysia selepas dilancarkan pada 24 Julai lalu. Model segmen-B ini berjaya memikat hati ramai dengan reka bentuk tajam, ciri moden serta ruang dalaman yang lebih kemas.

Hanya pada bulan Ogos sahaja, lebih 4,000 unit terjual, sekali gus menjadikannya peneraju jelas dalam kelasnya. Menariknya, sambutan hangat datang daripada golongan pembeli muda, sama ada melalui pameran jualan mahupun platform digital.

Kejayaan ini turut didorong oleh permintaan tinggi dari Malaysia Timur. Bagi memastikan pelanggan mendapat pengalaman pemilikan terbaik, Proton memberi penekanan kepada sokongan selepas jualan. Pusat Alat Ganti Wilayah di Kuching, Sarawak kini berperanan sebagai hab utama, memastikan bekalan alat ganti sampai kepada pengedar dengan lebih pantas — ada kalanya dalam tempoh hanya dua hari.

Gudang tersebut kini diperluaskan sehingga 28,000 kaki persegi, tiga kali ganda lebih besar berbanding sebelum ini, dan mampu menyimpan stok untuk tempoh sehingga tiga setengah bulan. Lebih menarik, gudang ini turut menerima penghantaran terus dari luar negara, sekali gus menjamin kelancaran bekalan.
