Geely secara rasmi telah mengumumkan peningkatan ketara kepada SUV elektrik kompak keluarannya, Galaxy E5—juga dikenali sebagai Geely EX5 atau Proton e.MAS 7 di pasaran tertentu—dengan pengenalan varian extended-range baharu. Menurut dokumen yang difailkan bersama Kementerian Perindustrian dan Teknologi Maklumat (MIIT) China, model terbaharu ini menampilkan pek bateri yang lebih besar, membolehkan jarak pemanduan sehingga 610 kilometer mengikut kitaran CLTC.

Dari segi penampilan, varian baharu ini mengekalkan reka bentuk luaran Galaxy E5 yang sedia ada, dengan siluet yang anggun dan aerodinamik. Ciri rekaan ikonik seperti lampu utama LED yang tirus dan bampar hadapan yang diukir kekal digunakan. Pembeli turut ditawarkan pilihan gril hadapan tertutup dengan motif titik-matriks untuk penampilan lebih moden. Bahagian belakang pula masih mengekalkan bar lampu LED lebar penuh, kini digandingkan dengan aksen perak yang menaikkan imej premium. Pilihan untuk lencana Geely berwarna hitam juga disediakan bagi mereka yang mengutamakan elemen gaya tambahan. Dimensi keseluruhan kenderaan tidak mengalami perubahan berbanding versi terdahulu.

Geely has announced an enhancement to its Galaxy E5, also known as the EX5 or the Proton e.MAS 7, by unveiling a new extended-range version of the compact electric SUV. The latest variant, recently detailed in regulatory documents filed with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), features a more powerful battery pack that allows for an electric driving range of up to 610 kilometres, measured on the CLTC cycle.

The new model retains the design language of the existing Galaxy E5, maintaining a sleek and aerodynamic silhouette. Its visual identity is defined by slim LED headlights and a sculpted front bumper. Buyers will still have the option of a closed grille design featuring a dot-matrix pattern. At the rear, the SUV continues to sport a full-width LED taillight bar, now paired with silver accent trim, while blacked-out Geely badging is also available as a stylistic option. The body dimensions remain unchanged from previous versions.

A key highlight of this new edition lies under the surface. The Galaxy E5 now incorporates a 68.39 kWh battery, the largest yet fitted to the model, allowing it to surpass the previously available 440 km and 530 km variants that came with 49.52 kWh and 60.22 kWh batteries, respectively. Although Geely has not specified the precise test cycle for the quoted 610 km range, it represents a considerable leap in efficiency and usability for daily and long-distance driving.

Geely mencatat satu lagi kejayaan penting dalam usaha elektrifikasi apabila unit ke-200,000 model kenderaan elektrik (EV) mesra bajetnya, Geome Xingyuan, secara rasmi dilancarkan dari barisan pemasangan. Model EV bandar kompak ini semakin menonjol dalam pasaran kenderaan elektrik peringkat permulaan di China, dan kini dilihat sebagai pencabar utama kepada model popular seperti BYD Seagull.

Ditawarkan pada harga permulaan serendah 68,800 yuan (sekitar RM45,000), Geome Xingyuan menyediakan pakej ciri yang kompetitif dalam segmennya. Ia hadir dengan dua varian kuasa: satu versi 58 kW yang mampu mencapai jarak 310km di bawah kitaran ujian China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC), dan satu lagi varian 85 kW yang lebih berkuasa dengan jarak pemanduan sehingga 410km. Fleksibiliti ini memberi kelebihan ketara berbanding kebanyakan pesaing dalam kategori sama.

Dari segi rekaan, Xingyuan menyerlah dengan wajah bulat ikonik Geely serta bentuk hatchback moden di bahagian belakang. Geely has achieved a major production milestone with the 200,000th unit of its budget-friendly electric vehicle, the Geome Xingyuan, rolling off the assembly line. This compact city EV has established itself as a serious contender in China’s entry-level electric vehicle market, where it directly rivals BYD’s high-volume Seagull.

With a starting price of 68,800 yuan (approximately RM45,000), the Xingyuan offers customers a competitive range of features for its segment. Two powertrain options are available: a 58 kW variant capable of a 310km range under the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC), and a more powerful 85 kW version that extends the range to 410km. These choices provide buyers with greater flexibility compared to many other vehicles in the same class.

The Xingyuan features Geely’s distinctive rounded front design and a hatchback rear profile. Measuring 4,135 mm in length, 1,805 mm in width, and 1,570 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,650 mm, it offers a relatively spacious interior, especially in the rear, giving it a practical edge over similarly sized competitors such as the Seagull or the BYD Dolphin here. The model is available in a range of colour options, including standout shades like pink and blue, and includes semi-concealed door handles for a cleaner exterior look.

Geely memberi kami pratonton model terkini SUV Monjaro L 2025 — dikenali sebagai Xingyue L di pasaran domestik — dalam satu sesi pratonton eksklusif di tempat ujian pemanduan miliknya di China. Model yang telah dikemas kini ini berpotensi menjadi asas kepada Proton X70 generasi baharu untuk pasaran Malaysia, berdasarkan strategi produk bersama yang erat antara Geely dan Proton.

Dari segi dimensi, Monjaro L 2025 mencatat sedikit peningkatan berbanding pendahulunya, kini berukuran 4,770 mm panjang, 1,895 mm lebar dan 1,689 mm tinggi, dengan jarak antara roda sepanjang 2,845 mm. Pertambahan ini bukan sahaja memberikan ruang dalaman yang lebih luas, tetapi juga memberikan penampilan jalan yang lebih mantap dan berwibawa berbanding model X70 sedia ada.

Reka bentuk luaran menyaksikan pembaharuan halus namun ketara. Jeriji hadapan baharu dengan rekaan bar menegak kini lebih menonjol, diapit oleh logo Geely yang telah diperhalusi. Lampu utama LED dengan reka bentuk tandatangan dikekalkan, manakala bampar hadapan mengekalkan susun atur asalnya. Penampilan keseluruhan disempurnakan dengan penggunaan rim aloi pelbagai jejari bersaiz 20 inci yang memberikan sentuhan lebih premium. Geely masih belum mengesahkan sama ada Monjaro L ini akan menggantikan sepenuhnya model sedia ada atau ditawarkan sebagai varian baharu, namun segala petunjuk mengarah kepada penggantian penuh.

Untuk penjana kuasa, dua varian enjin pengecas turbo 2.0TD empat silinder akan ditawarkan. Versi berprestasi tinggi menghasilkan 234hp dan 350Nm, dipadankan dengan transmisi automatik 8-kelajuan. Sementara itu, varian EVO dengan talaan lebih rendah — yang juga ditawarkan pada model semasa — menjana 214hp dan 325Nm, digandingkan dengan transmisi klac berkembar 7-kelajuan. Varian tertinggi hadir dengan sistem pacuan semua roda adaptif, manakala model asas mengekalkan pacuan roda hadapan.

Geely has given us a close-up of the 2025 Monjaro L, known in its home market as the Xingyue L, during a special preview at its test drive facility in China. The updated SUV could signal the arrival of the next-generation Proton X70 in Malaysia, given the close alignment of Geely and Proton’s product strategies.

Physically, the Monjaro L has grown slightly in size compared to its predecessor. The new model measures 4,770mm in length, 1,895mm in width, and stands 1,689mm tall, with a wheelbase stretching 2,845mm. These dimensions place it marginally above the current Proton X70, suggesting more interior space and a bolder road presence.

The exterior design receives a modest refresh. The most prominent change comes in the form of a vertical bar front grille that now protrudes outward slightly, flanked by Geely’s revised silver emblem. The signature LED headlamps and the shape of the front bumper’s air intake remain largely unchanged, but a new set of 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels adds a more premium stance. Geely has yet to confirm whether the 2025 Monjaro will be sold as a new variant or completely replace the existing version, although indications point toward the latter.

Geely has displayed its latest petrol-electric hybrid SUV, the Galaxy Starship 7 EM-i, at Auto Shanghai 2025, marking the public appearance of a model that could soon carry Proton branding in Malaysia as the e.MAS 7 PHEV.

Positioned as a hybrid counterpart to the fully electric Galaxy E5—sold in Malaysia as the Proton e.MAS 7—the Galaxy Starship 7 introduces Geely’s second-generation NordThor 2.0 plug-in hybrid system. This new powertrain is a refined version of the EM-P system also used by Lynk & Co and incorporates significant enhancements in efficiency and performance.

In terms of dimensions, the Galaxy Starship 7 measures 4,740mm in length, 1,905mm in width and 1,685mm in height, with a 2,755mm wheelbase. These figures make it marginally larger than the Galaxy E5.

Selepas penampilan sulungnya di Pameran Motor Antarabangsa Bangkok 2025, model elektrik kompak Geely Xingyuan—yang juga dikenali di bawah sub-jenama Geome—telah melangkah ke pentas automotif utama China, Auto Shanghai 2025. Following its appearance at the 2025 Bangkok International Motor Show, the Geely Xingyuan—also known under the Geome sub-brand—has made its way to China’s premier automotive event, Auto Shanghai 2025. Displayed alongside Geely’s high-tech Galaxy Cruiser SUV prototype, the compact electric vehicle (EV) has reignited speculation about its potential rebadging and entry into the Malaysian market under the Proton badge as the e.MAS 5.

If confirmed, the Xingyuan would become the second model in Proton’s e.MAS series, complementing the larger e.MAS 7 that has already been introduced in Malaysia. While official announcements remain pending, industry watchers note that the Xingyuan’s compact dimensions and urban-friendly electric powertrain make it an ideal fit for markets such as Malaysia, where demand for affordable, efficient electric mobility is growing.

In China, the Xingyuan is offered with two electric powertrains, both using lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries supplied by CATL. Fast-charging capabilities allow for a 30% to 80% charge in just 21 minutes. The entry-level variant comes equipped with a 30.12 kWh battery, offering a range of 310km under the Chinese Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC), and is paired with a rear-mounted motor delivering 79PS and 130Nm of torque. The higher-end model features a larger 40.16 kWh battery that stretches the range to 410km, along with a more powerful 116PS, 150Nm electric motor. Both versions include a deep front trunk—or ‘frunk’—enhancing cargo versatility.

Five variants are currently offered in the Chinese domestic market. Standard and optional features include 16-inch alloy wheels, full LED lighting, a large 14.6-inch infotainment touchscreen (or a smaller 10.1-inch unit in base trims), 256-colour ambient lighting, either a four- or six-speaker audio system, and an external 3.3 kW power outlet for accessory charging. Comfort and convenience features span from manual to powered front seats, automatic air conditioning with rear vents, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 50W wireless phone charger with air-cooling. Comprehensive advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) are also available, underlining the model’s emphasis on safety and smart technology.

Sized for the urban commuter, the Xingyuan is noticeably more compact than its e.MAS 7 sibling. It measures 4,135 mm in length and 1,805 mm in width, with a wheelbase of 2,650 mm—figures that position it firmly in the B-segment crossover category.

With growing anticipation surrounding its potential localisation, the question remains whether this small electric hatch will arrive in Malaysia bearing the Proton badge.

Gergasi automotif China, Geely Auto, terus memperkukuh kedudukannya sebagai peneraju teknologi bahan api alternatif dengan memperkenalkan secara rasmi prototaip sedan berprestasi tinggi berkuasa metanol di Auto Shanghai 2025. Prototaip ini, yang sebelum ini menjalani ujian musim sejuk, memberi gambaran jelas tentang masa depan mobiliti mampan dalam segmen prestasi tinggi.

Dibina berasaskan platform Binrui Cool, prototaip canggih ini menggantikan enjin petrol konvensional BHE15-EFZ dengan unit eksperimen DHE20TDM, iaitu enjin diesel yang direka khas untuk menggunakan bahan api metanol tulen (M100).

Menurut Geely, enjin berasaskan metanol ini mencatatkan kecekapan haba setinggi 46 peratus, satu angka yang setanding dengan teknologi pembakaran dalaman paling canggih di pasaran hari ini. Dengan nisbah mampatan 15:1, prototaip ini mampu menjana 250hp dan tork maksimum 400Nm, menjadikannya antara kereta konsep paling berkuasa dalam kategori bahan api alternatif.
